How Do You Feed A Family Of 16? | Britain's Biggest Families | Part 1 | Origin

Subscribe for more: bit.ly/3n9DeoL
How much does is cost to feed a family of 16?? And what does it take to prepare that amount of food, every day? In this episode, we see what meal time is like for the UK’s supersize families; the Radfords with 16 children and the Salim’s with 11 children. We also see the other challenges these big families face every day and how they deal with them.
The Radfords have 16 kids and their eldest, who still lives with them, has a child of her own. Having 19 under the one roof can make things a bit crowded, but Sue and Noel wouldn’t have it any other way and have plans to add even more kids to the litter. Sue and Noel met when they were 8 and became sweethearts at 13, having their first child at 14.
Unlike most young couples, having a baby brought these childhood sweethearts closer together and they have mastered managing a budget, immense amounts of chores and raising 16 kids by themselves. But with a christening for 11 to organize and pay for, will their iron clad teamwork and thinning wallets stand up to the test?

My heart breaks for the children in the second family. If the father bothered to work at any job, even a job that isn’t teaching their lives could be so much better. My heart goes out to the wife too. She was airing her frustrations and crying because she’s so upset and the husband didn’t care at all.

Mohammed is so blissfully oblivious. His wife is completely overwhelmed, literally says she’s broken inside through tears, and he barely bats an eye. All he cares about is having her churn out more kids to feed his greed. If he was truly grateful for his wife and his children like he says he is, then he would humble himself and provide for them by any means necessary.

Parents can truly be remarkable. I have no idea how they do it. I’m still in awe when I hear the stories of my grandma. She had 7 kids. When my grandfather wasn’t working, he was out drinking. So she was pretty much left to care, bathe, and feed all 7 children. 3 of them being tall muscular athlethic boys with bottomless pits for a stomach. She managed to care for each one during the day and THEN worked night shift cleaning a local hospital and at one point, volunteered to care for 2 elderly in-laws that use to hate her just because they thought she wasn’t good enough for their son. And in her older age, she raised and cared for 3 grandchildren (while still working night shift) all the way up until the day she died. No clue how that superwoman did it. But I’ve never been, nor will I ever be more proud of anyone in my life. I miss her so much.

Felt so sorry for the second family especially the mother I don’t think people understand what really occurs during arranged marriages. My best friend was taken on a trip to Pakistan when she arrived she was taken to buy a new dress for a party which she didn’t know was that the party was her engagement party she was walked in and fat was told that there were three men sitting on a couch and that she was going to choose one of them and get married now she got to pick which man she was going to be married to that day. One of them was an educated another one simply wanted away to the US and pick a number 3 actually was a college graduate. She picked number three. She was forced to sign papers in a language she couldn’t read it was basically considered married. I’ll never forget that phone call from the party of her crying on the phone she could not believe what it happened to her she’s disabled and her parents thought they getting rid of her as in getting married would fix the problem. If that wasn’t bad enough when she came back to the US with her new husband although technically they weren’t married in the US he basically drained her account. With the American wedding was being handled he was told to babysit a baby for about an hour when they came back they found the infant laying on the floor where they asked him why he had simply lay the baby on the floor and he said I don’t take care of babies that’s woman’s work. The day came for the wedding my friend cried and cried and cried at one point she refused to marry him in America she was slapped so hard that she fell onto the bed the next time I saw her she was obviously drugged she could even keep her eyes open and it was helped down the aisle by her parents. The grooms mother getting angry because she was basically asleep on the couch that they were doing photos she quickly became pregnant and when her new husband found out the baby was a girl he wanted nothing to do with it he wouldn’t buy her maternity clothes and didn’t even show up for the birth the nurses basically had to pin him when he finally did show up to get a car seat after that happened she was dropped off at her family‘s house because he didn’t want to deal with his new baby and wife she luckily was able to get a divorce after that she did cancel his visa although he begged her and offered to pay her money he later paid another person but I can’t imagine what she went through although she did end up with a beautiful daughter but it was your nightmare for her. I can pretty much guarantee that this poor woman never actually had any say as to what was happening in our marriage I feel very sorry for her.

"I've got a degree in Philosophy and you want me to sell chocolates?" Sir, I don't think you have the right to choose what job you should have considering the number of mouths you have to feed. There are successful people who have a degree somewhere far from their current job but they are more than financially stable. I believe that opportunities out there could lead you again to the profession that you love but first, you must do the role of a parent to your kids. Realistically speaking, the emotional support that you are providing for your kids is not enough for them. They need decent housing, proper education, and good environment for them to develop. If you want an easy life, then the number of your kids should not be like that.
