How do we get clean drinking water?
Ғылым және технология
You wake up in the middle of the night with a dry mouth and go to the kitchen to quench your thirst or come from the outside after a tiresome day and take a refreshing shower to unwind.
Regardless of the time, you can access water for any kind of consumption thanks to a seemingly simple but vital system: City water supply. As you know, water goes through a number of processes before it starts to pour down from your sink. But how does city water work?
Water makes up the bigger portion of our planet; however, usable water comes from either surface water or groundwater. Public water systems get the water from these sources to a treatment plant through a process called catchment.
After a series of other processes like coagulation, screening, ozonation, and filtration, the water becomes suitable for human consumption. Then municipal water systems distribute the water to the whole area via pumps, and we enjoy our showers or wash our vegetables thanks to the home water connection.
Seeing the flow of usable water once you open the tap may seem simple due to the regularity of the practice. However, there is a complex system and a lot of working hours behind the process that makes it possible.
If you want to know more about how water systems work, get yourself a glass of water and enjoy watching this video!

It's actually insane how things we take for granted are soo incredibly majestic.
Something so valuable we take for granted everyday, God bless the government and water treatment facilities!

I don't even know what to say but wake up that water is drinkable but it's not good for you and still very polluted you can thank the government for allowing to be polluted to begin with.

Sweet? I mean I know the country side comes from wells but I mean I'd say it's the same process but it does taste different. I know I looked this up sometime ago & id say I don't remember a damn thing. But I watched half way threw and I remember now 😊. It goes through more separation and more filtering and chemicals. Ok, ill watch till finish just to see if my memory is correct. Still wouldn't answer y it tastes different tho. Well water tastes freakin metallic
I am curious, how many viewers are from outside the EEUU? Spain here
The internet doesn't answer my question. Yes or no question. Is reverse asmosis water actually water that once passed through someone's intestines into the toilet and became purified and sold into water bottles? I really don't want a complicated answer just a yes or no or some bottles.
actually water tastes water
I always wondered if we drink toilet water or regular
Jackson, Mississippi, US, has no clean drinking water in August, 2022. They don't know why but their Water Department is broken. Residents have been warned not to bathe or brush their teeth with the tainted Water. Some areas of the city have no Water, at all. Jackson is home to 180,000 Humans, and, there's no solution in sight.
Great explanation 👌

Water is love
In India, chlorine is used for disinfection since ozonation is very expensive method
When they said fluoride for dental health I almost spit out my drink
I didnt expect turbulent here lmao

@Mackinac_Man

It’s not. The levels are very low for safe water consumption. Chlorine is important to maintain because the water still has to travel in many miles of pipe before reaching the tap. Old pipes may have hairline cracks that allow other materials to enter the water. That’s is why water is not only tested hourly at a water plant, but daily/weekly at locations that have high water demand such as laundry mats, restaurants, and schools for bacteria and other inconsistencies.
i need clear water
flouride is another, why?
My god I like that voice
no coagulants, still nature can work, lets go with natural remedy , clean our waters

Literally facsinating
I didn't know that they put flouride in water that's been processed to improve dental health
Why the add????

Tasteless not so much. Each type of water has their own distinct taste in my opinion.
