Within the grooves there is basically little bumps. The stylus, which is what the part of the record player that touches the record is called, usually gas a really fine diamond tip that runs within the grooves, reacting with the bumps. The stylus reacting with the bumps create a small amount of electricity which is what eventually makes a sound out of speakers. Each bump is slightly different which is how you can get songs out of it

Not just iPhones, but a bunch of other smartphones too. OLED screens have been used for a while, and modern hi-res colourful AMOLED displays have been used since the late 2000s, with Samsung and Nokia in particular having used them a lot. Pretty much all high-end and a decent chunk of mid-range phones use them. There is another thing about them, though, and it's that they almost never have an RGB arrangement (the Samsung Galaxy S2 is one of the very few exceptions). They have what's called a PenTile matrix, which has a very unique layout.
