Fantastic interview. My family, the Malanotti and Count Carlo Martini worked for the Hapsburg family as close advisers.
Have come across this by chance, what a find !! Currently researching pre Cold War. John .. Oxford

Me too! What a treat.
What an interesting and touching interview. Many thanks for sharing this. I really appreciate it.
Looking forward to episode 2.
As a Hungarian - Hungary itself at some point ruled half Europe - I`m naturally like most Hungarians would have been against the Habsburgs ruling Hungary. We fought against them in 1848-49 and it eventually resulted in the so called Compromise in 1867 which actually ended up being a great benefit for both countries economically. The Empire had a dynamic economy particulalry very strong agriculture that basically served Europe. Life was very comparable to any Western country indeed.
Don't forget the Robert branch of the family, lm Karl and Zitas great grandson, hi from Dublin
Perhaps they mean "How do the Habsburgs prove Catholicism's relevance today"? One would expect better grammar from the Speccie but I suppose you just can't get the staff these days (as any fule kno).
Emperor Karl rocks.
I'd guess the Habsburg WhatsApp group is mostly for dating 😉
