These are fantastic changes. Melee armies now don't have to rely on terrain layout as much now and shooting armies can reposition easier to get LoS.

This is going to be an insane edition launch and I am so hype for it 🎉😂

These new rules are quite interesting for sure. I'm glad it finally seems like Primaris can ride in Firstborn vehicles and Firstborn can ride in Primaris vehicles. Hopefully the distinction between the two has finally ended and I could Drop Pod my Hellblasters into battle or have my Veteran Squad ride in an Impulsor. It's finally nice to see Space Marines get along 😂

That's a standard repulsor, not the executioner. This is a big turn for the gameplay, very interesting, a little bit concerning with a risk of a big vehicle meta, but interesting.

A lot of the vehicle meta worry is overblown I think, for one we haven't had one in a while so having tanks be useful again is good, but also I think with the way OC has been shown boots on the ground will still be very important, but we'll see if they can get the balance right. Plus I think they learned that most people don't like aircraft most of the time so I doubt they will dominate like the last few times vehicle heavy list were meta.

@@FREEkdaman From what we’ve seen it’s a reasonable concern. Remember to be charitable, “we haven’t seen everything yet” is true but not a worthwhile argument. We know toughness has gone up considerably. We know a meltagun, a currently strong anti-tank weapon is now the same strength as a rhino’s toughness and already falls off against a gladiator. We know they’ve highlighted a hammerhead railgun as being S20 and that there will be stronger guns than that. This suggests that vehicles may be necessary to deal with vehicles reasonably. This can easily spiral into an anti-vehicle vehicle meta and it may also be something GW wants, to deal with the knight problem. They’ve been a nuisance check on competitive for as long as they’ve been around. If anti-vehicle vehicles become a staple, that’s one way to mitigate that issue. Also vehicles are useful besides that, so it lessens the stress of the ‘vehicle tax’ we all might be met with soon. I don’t mind, I have lots of tanks that I’m looking forwards to using again, but this is a hurdle for newer players. Of course the points might simply be too high and deter bringing more than a few vehicles. It may be that lascannons are the new hotness or that meltaguns have been undersold and are missing USR’s. But it’s hardly an overblown concern. GW is very far from flawless.

@@Smilomaniac I agree, like yeah the Melta rifle isn't as great of anti-tank just from the stats, but maybe Eradicators and other anti-tank units get special rules when the target a vehicle, theirs not enough info

A little excited for my Drukhari

I've got a Chaos Land Raider, I've got a custom Spartan and now I think I'm gonna get a Proteus. I can justify having too many LR's if I know I'm likely to use them!

The land raider thing makes me really happy. I run kinda mechanized infantry for templars, lots of tanks with troops and LOVE land raiders but they're so expensive for dogshit stats. With infiltrators being as prevalent as they are I don't like delivering termies with deep strike so this may be my time to shine

So can an aura that effects enemies work inside a transport?

Hopefully the tau droneport, gunrig, and floating platform may become actually usable now
