Pakistani local media doesn't care about professionalism they are just after the ratings and money. The actual journalism is only in rare media and that is international media i.e. BBC VOA and DW type media which is a shame for the local ones.

Dear BBC! Thank you for alerting the public by making a video about a very organized organized crime in our society. Also listen to my experience with reference to your vlog of this excursion. Mamira's cousin operates a crane in northern Punjab. He had also given CV to foreign and other companies. My cousin got a sudden call on his number and gave him a fake job in an Arab country and invited him to DG Khan area for a test with the lure of a huge salary. From where he was abducted by a gang of members and demanded a ransom of 20 lakh rupees. Which was later recovered by a local politician by giving 13 lakhs. We later found out that these gangs are backed by politicians.

I can give you answer for this question, because they are the one who are providing them with latest weapons. Just look at the dhareels, they have advanced machinary unike police, do you really think that these goons just went outside to the cities and purchase such weapons in day light. Army and Police do not want peace in such regions, when these goons abduct innocent peoples they demand money, hallf money goes in Police and army pockets and half in goons pocket. I have never seen or met a single honest Sindh Government officer in my whole career (33 years) of dealing with officials of all provinces. The most honest officials are from GB, AJ&K and KP, followed by Punjab. Sindh (and Balochistan) are the worst. I saw once one honest official in Balochistan but have never seen or met a single honest person in Sindh (especially Sindh-speaking districts). I am 100% sure that Sindh police and other law enforcement agencies are in a symbiotic relationship with the kidnappers, and even the politicians must be taking their cut. Now, this story put the blame on the victims and Punjab province. Dear BBC, I request you not to do this and highlight the corruption of the Sindhi police and officials. I also appreciate the efforts of the journalist who took a lot of trouble in going to these areas.

sindh has roots from pirates, looters since midevil times. this area has been known for coastal pirates since hundreds of years. "sindbad the pirate" is one modified folklore. their casts are not ordinary casts, these are actually levels of thug influence in region. now that has been translated into such gangs and political parties, look at the people in people party itself. rest of Pak is no better. but sindh has legacy.

Islam has roots firmly embedded in bhatta khori (jizya) and male ghaneemat (mal e muft). Sindh is babul Islam, so the earliest Islamic traditions of looting trade caravans is a continuous and ongoing sunnat here. Generalizing people is insulting and hurtful.

would you please put a light on what muhajirs have been doing since '70s. Target killings, ransom, inciting ethnic wars, land grabbing, causing political instability and what not.
