    If you don't add straw/hay to their litter bin then they always leave before they finish properly. You need to give them something to do - it's the Rabbit equivalent of Reading a book or playing Angry Birds

    @@alifhasan2115 so what I did was whenever he was about to poop or pee I scooped him up and put him in his litter box and whenever he pooped or peed outside the litter box I would just clean it up and then put the droppings and the urine soaked towel that I used to clean up the pee in the litter box it's just transferring one territory to another and if your bunny is not spayed or neutered it will be a little harder to litter train them as they will have the urge to mark their territory though my bunny was litter box trained he kept pooping outside of his litter box because he was marking as his territory but now that he's neutered he uses his litter box really really well!

    I rescued 2 rabbits, Newman and Elaine, from a hoarding situation almost 2 years ago. Never owning rabbits before, I didn't realize how much work they are. Also, I have to go into the next state to take them to the vets. My dogs vet doesn't do rabbit yet they're called Noah's Ark with animals on the sign, including rabbits haha. After about 6 months, hay stopped working and Newmans teeth has to be cut down once a month. I have mastered the litter training. They decided they liked using my dining room as a toilet lol. They roam free but at night they go in a dog kennel for their safety. I have 3 large dogs that welcomed them into their pack but will bring me a hare as a gift 😳. They are a lot of work and expensive but worth every bit of it. We love you, Bini.

    Thanks Ari & Bini! Great info as always ❤️. I’m doing ALL those things for 19-month old “Rooney”, but he still makes mistakes with his pee about 3-4 times per month! The poop is easier to deal with, but because of pee mistakes I can’t give him the “free-roam” life he deserves 😩. I adopted Roo from my local rescue shelter when he was about 12 weeks old and he IS neutered, (spay/neuter & micro-chipping is included in the adoption fee). Considering your great tips, I guess you can say I’m stuck at #5....PATIENCE! Any other tips will be gratefully accepted! Great video & it’s always a treat to see sweetie pie, Bini! I hope you’ll be back again, Ari, but may I ask where Bini’s bun-Dad is? Hope he’s well & please make more “Bin-deos”, (Bini + videos)!!! Love to all!!! ❤️❤️🐰🐰❤️❤️

    Hi. If you are letting him have a 'large' space for exercise time then reduce that space temporarily until he gets it right again. Play pens are good for this. Also obviously immediately clean the area by removing covers for washing and spraying/cleaning other areas with vinegar and baking soda.

    Whoa, a waiter, a bartender AND a bunny guy!! My two (neutered) boys were rescued from a hoarding situation where they were in a hutch with sixteen other adult rabbits, so their experience with litterboxes prior to rescue was limited. They're really good about urinating in the litterbox when they're not marking my husband's stuff (*sigh*) and they do poop in the box because their hay feeder is mounted above the litterbox but the poop is eeeeeeeverywhere. We've always put it back into the box and OF COURSE are not punitive about it, but in the nearly two months since they've come home, I haven't seen an improvement. That said, it's easy to sweep them up and be glad that they're willing to urinate in it. They've come a long way socially and I'm patient. STILL, I'd love to see more information on litter training adult rabbits. Thank you!!!

    For some reason my bunnies just refuse to stick to their litterbox. Most of their poos and 99% of pee stays inside the box, but they still manage to poop basically everywhere. Both are spayed and it's like 20m² they are freeroaming so it doesn't make sense to get another box. I've just pretty much given up at this point.

    It literally took 3 days to my baby rabbit. This is how I did: - Put the litter box where he usually pees. (Mine was peeing close to the food/water bowls so I switched the food/water bowls.) - Wait for him to go in the litter box. DON’T FORCE HIM. Let him discover it. (It took like 6 - 8 hours for mine)🐇 - Put all his poops in the litter box. And if he pees on something (paper, towel) put it in the litter box.📦 - BE PATIENT. IT WILL TAKE TIME‼️ - The next day my rabbit only peed one time outside of the box. And of course he had a few poops 💩😅 - Change the litter every 2 - 3 days and wash it every day 🙃 Just start my channel!

    Chanel Le Bélier I was wondering if you had any more advice as I can’t move Sophias litter box to where she keeps pooping or peeing and I can put what she keeps going to the bathroom on in her litter box and she used to be good but I’m trying to free roam her and she has just suddenly started this yesterday

  • @chanellebelier7977

    @chanellebelier7977

    Chloe Rebekah my advice would be don’t free roam her if she’s not clean. I know we all want our rabbit to be happy in a big large room, but we also need to be happy. And I can tell you by experience that cleaning every single poop/pee is not funny. Did you put hay in the litter box?? If so, has she ever been into her litter box?? I not you should encourage her to by putting her pallets/veggies near. Rabbits are curious animals! Hope that helped!! If you have any other questions ask them!! Tell me how it went!!

    I was using the horse bedding pellets for the litter box as others have recommended, but I think these dog wee wee pads may be an easier and quicker cleanup. Thanks for sharing what you learned works best for you. I'm going to test it and see how it goes.

    Idk why I’m watching this, I already managed to litter train my rabbit. All I did was have a litter box in the corner of his cage, he used to poop in the opposite corner so every time I noticed some poop I would scoop it up and put it in his litter box. He eventually learned that his poop belonged in the box. :)

I said "son that's a bunch of smart pills." Without warning he picks one up, puts it in his mouth and chews. He looks at me with a nasty look and says "daddy it taste like crap!" "See son, your getting smarter already"

    If you use a pee pad just be careful that your bunny doesn’t chew the plastic edges. To bunny proof it you can either fold the plastic edges under the pad or you can just snip them off. Not all bunnies chew them but rather be safe than sorry 🥳

    My bunny must've just now discovered his teevers or I mean, he's just now getting to a pt where he knows he needs to grind them down, I guess. He has teeth gnawing down type things, i think he's just going about it backwards. He just as of now, (a couple of weeks old) starting to get into cables. Just not his honey wheat hard thing. He likes the outside of his cage tho... its made out of wood.

    I never had issues with training our rabbits, in fact I never trained them, I just plopped the litter box and they started using it. But as of recently, one of our rabbits pees just outside of the litter box 90% of the time. I just don't know how to stop that, I tried scrubbing the area to remove any previous scents but it doesn't help, she just does that. The other rabbit, a male (they are both fixed) is huge and although the litterbox is huge, too, when he jumps in, she just leaves and finishes her business next to it. I tried with two or even three litter boxes, but it doesn't help. He never pees outside, only she. And, hers is always the last "word". If I clean the pee 7 times, she will pee the 8th times. She must have three backup bladders somewhere, I don't know. Fortunately, it's a tiled floor so it helps with the cleaning. She's not peeing anywhere else in the flat, for that matter. The litter box content is wood filing at the bottom covered with a thick layer of wood pellets. It helps with odour, it doesn't have to be changed that often and it's cheap. Dell poops like a horse so fancier methods would have bankrupted us by now. Btw, she does pee in the litter box, she does go in there to do her business, but most of the times she just pees outside. She figured it's just easier. I tried setting up absorbent pads and stuff, but both of them can't stand the sight of anything papery, thin, or which sticks out - it must be shredded to pieces.
