how do i own so many clothes???? it’s time for a declutter

This wardrobe clean-out was well-needed!!! I honestly expected to get rid of a few items here and there, but there was a lot more stuff that I had not worn in ages. Even though a big clearout does feel very freeing, I am working towards a more sustainable wardrobe overall where all pieces have a use and I'm not adding too much to the fast fashion cycle. This will always be a challenge for someone who likes fashion and clothes, so it's baby steps :'))

This has been my favorite closet cleanout video. I am very sentimental about my clothes so it was honestly nice seeing someone get rid of their clothes for practical reasons,,, just very encouraging and makes me wanna tackle my sentimental pieces and narrow down. Love !!

i love this so much! Definitely nice to think about clothing as something to serve a purpose to you, otherwise there is no need to hold on!

Theres nothing better than a good declutter. I just did one myself 😊 And btw for the graduation hoodies. I was never really close with the people of that time so I had no problems cutting it in pieces to use it as cleaning cloths. Because I could sell it nor donate for obvious reasons.

I would go ahead with the ceiling-to-floor curtain idea, with one of those tension wire set-ups perhaps. It may be more visually restful when you’re not getting dressed and may contain all the fibres and dust from the clothes better to reduce allergy triggers. Also, I list stuff I’ve altered and it sells. Just disclose that it’s been altered and where, and include the new measurements. There’s probably someone out there with similar dimensions who will be happy to have a pre-tailored garment!
