About IBS Treatment Center
===========================
Dr. Stephen Wangen, co-founder and Medical Director of the IBS Treatment Center, and his staff have successfully helped over 10,000 people resolve irritable bowel syndrome and chronic digestive problems since 2005.
Some patients have had IBS symptoms so severe that they spent a considerable amount of time in the hospital. Others are suffering alone at home and are no less frustrated with the impact that it is having on their lives. The thread that tied them all together was that they had never seen an IBS expert (much different than a gastroenterologist), a doctor whose only mission is to help people solve IBS.
Patients work with us from around the country and the world via our telemedicine services. Get back your life! Work with us via telemedicine. Visit the IBS Specialists at ibstreatmentcenter.com

    I have Ibs-D. I skip breakfast & eat a small snack at around between 10-11 (usually peanut butter & crackers or carrots). Then a very small lunch at 1pm. I eat a dinner & snack later but I avoid caffeine & eating 2 hours before bed. I also drink unsweetend green tea, seltzer water, and water daily. You really need to find out what makes you go (Ibs-D) like fried/greasy food or ice cream (for me). But also what can cause you constipation if you have Ibs-C. There is a list of food I avoid because I personally can't handle them. Thats the MOST annoying thing. People insist I eat this or that and take it personally when I don't want to. You don't get upset if someone is a vegatarian. Don't get upset if I can't handle certain foods.

    I suffered from ibs and chronic gastric reflux my entire adult life. Im 63. I cured it completely in the first couple of weeks on Carnivore diet. Gone. Completely. 50years of pain, diarrhoea, bloating, acid in the mouth. Its the food. I now eat only beef, bacon eggs. No sugar, no carb,, no fibre, no plants. Never been healthier, dropped 75lbs effortlessly, off all my meds. Wow. This doctor wants to be paid to treat you. The actual answer is free.

    @@IBSTreatmentCenter it does work for everyone. But most people aren't prepared to give up their favourite foods. Sugar and carbs are dietarily unnecessary, and highly addictive. Kicking them is not easy, but the results are staggering. Carnivore not only cured my ibs, gastric reflux and bloating, but also reversed my t2 diabetes, cured arthritis, prostate problems, joint pain, sleep apnoea ,inflammation, and a host of other health problems. My bloodwork is pristine, my calcium score is zero. My testosterone is through the roof. Im back in the workplace now at 63, and shaming guys half my age. Its the food we eat.

    As someone who has been misdiagnosed or not diagnosed with multiple conditions, I don't believe that many people have IBS. I think it is where they lump people when doctors don't want to do the work to track down the actual problem. I won't accept my problems are IBS until every single other option has been ruled out. Doctors absolutely do not listen to me when I describe my bowel habits, they finish my sentences and make assumptions without listening. So much variability says to me that this is painful bowels caused by multiple different chronic conditions.

    Hey Doc, wanted to run some symptoms by you if you have a minute. I was told I couldn’t drink milk and I had to drink a laxative as a young kid because my stools were too big/hard. I did that for a while and then stopped without much issue. Fast forward to 5 months ago, I started having gas pain, constipation, and diarrhea- not super often, maybe once a week or so. Then 2 months ago after a night of clubbing, I woke up with gas pain, sharp abdominal pain, bloating, nausea, stomach rumbling, significant headache, body aches, and back/leg pain. Since that day, I’ve had numerous episodes like this (usually they aren’t accompanied by gas pain and constipation/diarrhea however- those ‘episodes’ seem to be unrelated) and each one is brought about by these two things: intense exercise and drinking alcohol. I’ve been an athlete my whole life and have been drinking in moderation for 4 years now and have never had these problems. can be one beer, doesn’t matter. Have tried antacids with no reduction in symptoms, endoscopy looked clean, no celiac, chrons, or h.pylori. Any thoughts on this?

I stopped drinking caffeine and tried changing my meals but always results in the same thing, should I try taking some over the counter probiotics to help this? Doctor , please reply if you see this comment. I am a person who has gas trouble issues generally. My stomach is filled with gas almost everytime , but it doesn't hurt that much. But when I travel , especially cold places , I get bloating and my stomach literally fills with gas which causes unbearable pain and diarrhoea. I never enjoyed a tour in my life , even since my childhood. I always got this problem when I go for a trip and I never said anyone about the gas trouble because if it's an school trip the students may make fun of me. I love to go for a tour , but my past experiences always make me scared. I went out with my friends to watch a film yesterday and I was stuck by this same issue. My friends asked me why I was so gloomy. I just said them that I have headache. But I had bloating, unbearable pain and diarrhoea. My last school trip of my life is coming next month and this past experience is haunting me and I am not planning to go even though I love to. Am I suffering from IBS or any other issue , doctor. Dear Dr., how do I know if it is IBS or endometriosis? I have severe bloating often times and sometimes lower abdominal pain, but not very often. But I have an immune deficiency and get sick very very often! My periods are normal/regular and not too painful. What to do?? Thanks for answering. 😊

  • @IBSTreatmentCenter

    @IBSTreatmentCenter

    That's a good question. It's difficult to completely rule out endometriosis without surgery (laparoscopy). But there are often other clues that your doctor is looking for that lead them down that road, and your condition sounds a lot more like IBS than endometriosis. And it's much easier to treat IBS in my experience, and that may solve your problem. And there's always the possibility of having both. But severe bloating is common in IBS.

    Having abdominal pain every time when I have to poop, having diarrhea & constipation together in single bowl moment(sometimes alternating), bleaching or farting too much, incomplete bowl moments that makes me sit in toilet for like 30 min-1hour, half the year I’m hungry all the time and not hungry at all rest of the year, gaining around 10kg per year(tried all kinds of diet). Thought these were normal because my whole family had it…guess it runs in the genes. Recently getting lower back pain + abdominal pain that gets better only after pooping(it’s been hard to identify whether I’m getting pms or need to take a dump🥲), nauseous and always vomiting right after or while eating food, headaches and a ometimes tarry bad smelling stool that lasts for week or two. Yeah I also need to mention I have pco so idk how many of these symptoms are related to IBS, some might be symptoms of pco.

    ok, let me try to make more sense of it to you. what he's saying isn't that you have ibs even if you have no symptoms, what he's saying is that there isn't one symptom that is obligatory in all cases. ibs is an umbrella term for a variety of problems that can't be explained by other diseases. so one person may have one set of symptoms (like constipation and abdominal pain and mucus in their stool) and another person may have another set of symptoms (like diarrhea and flatulence and bloating) and both have ibs even though their symptoms are not the same. the only prerequisite for ibs is having a digestive issue that negatively impacts your life, that happens regularly for a long period of time, and that can't be explained by other things like allergies or autoimmune diseases or something like that. it's a bit like chronic migraines, that are also a catch-all term for symptoms that have no other explanation and can present in very different ways

    Lol right that's what it sounds like. I'm mean think about it for us Americans. The food we it is different from food in Mexico, Canada and EU. The big food corporations are with the big pharma companies who also own politicians on both side and the FDA. Our food is basically poison. So yea every American might as well have IBS. I say just say we all have IBS (unless you bleeding red or black and constant diraria day on our that stuff should seek medical attention) everything else might as well we all do the treatment program. But I noticed they say eat healthy which I do but then this or that that's healthy could be bad to eat if you have this or that. Get what I'm saying.
