⚜️ "Your connection is not private" errors are often benign, you can't fix it on your own, but it's worth paying attention to.
Your connection is not private
This message results when https determines there’s something wrong with the security information for the website you’re connecting to. Most typically it’s an expired security certificate, but it can also be a spoofed website attempting to fool you into handing over private information. It’s nothing you can fix, but it is something you need to watch for and understand.

@Ask Leo! I have a question I was on discord and then there was a message saying I was gifted discord for a month I stupidly clicked on it and I think it was an IP logger what should I do? (note I just saw ur YT vid and this is the third vid I saw)

What if it shows up on every site you go to?
Very applicable subject! If it is a bogus site what can they actually do if you don't cooperate? (give out personal info, etc.)

I am getting this on my Mac and the certificate isnt even expired! Now what? Almost Everything I open online I get this message. I have to open the advanced and put my password in everytime! So incredibly frustrating. Kind of is like crying wolf. How to get rid of it?

i got a new laptop to replace my only NCR os/2 laptop . its a dell and now 3 weeks later the battery says its not healthy. i took it back to BestBuy and they are sending it back to dell. is it possible the battery is bad on a laptop that has a 9-21-2021 build date ?

Anything is possible. Who knows how long the battery was lying around before the system was built?
So it is not caused by the Internet?
I waited all that time to find out nothing?

Nope. You found out all the different ways it can break, and how it's typically not something you can fix.
Where or when did you explain how to actually fixed the problem?

As mentioned in the video and companion article: it's generally not something you can fix, but it is important to understand what it means.

@@askleonotenboom Great video but the title is a bit misleading. Perhaps "Possible reasons that your connection isn't private" is more fitting.
This video did not explain how to fix the problem. Still it was helpful kinda.
Total waste of time. No solution offered at all!!
