Bourbon as well as "English Style" Rum tend to be my favorite sipping spirits. It would be cool to see a Foursquare Rum finished in a Barrel Proof Bourbon like Elijah Craig

I am curious as to which ex-bourbon barrels Foursquare ages their rums in. Also, I am intrigued to try the Bardstown Bourbon that was finished in Foursqare rums.

This was great! I am a whiskey/bourbon drinker and Four Square person. Yes you are correct about the Four Roses. They have 10 different mashbills/yeast strains. Your double oak usually goes the sweeter rounder flavor notes. I have 5 double oak expressions from Woodford reserve, old forester, Penelope, Peerless and Lucky seven...they all lean sweet but some marshmallow, some holiday spices. Thanks again for the reviews

Great video! I can confirm all the Wild Turkey characteristics were correct, honey, citrus, etc, nailed it. Would love to try all these out! love a Foursquare

I've corresponded with Jordan Morris, one of the founders of Rolling Fork, and they're not only really nice people but huge, huge rum nerds like us. I asked about a large amount of sediment on the bottom of my Rolling Fork bottle and was happy to find out they do minimal to no filtering. So when you buy a bottle of Rolling Fork, you're not only going to get some great tasting rum. you're also going to get the reassurance you've bought an unadulterated spirit, as well. Happy to see they're now reaching out to rum KZreadrs to get their name out there. These guys deserve all the success in the world.

That would be a fun one to do. It's on the list.

It would be great if Rolling Fork released a tasting set akin to Eight Marks with smaller bottles of each of the finishes. That would be an excellent teaching tool for showing people what a difference a finish makes. BTW, i just picked up a bottle of Amrut 7 Year 2015 Habitation Velier at auction and I'm eagerly awaiting it's arrival. I've been watching for it since your video where you praised it. I have Amrut whiskey, including their Greedy Angels 8, 10, & 12, so I'm very curious to try this rum.

Glad you agree about the set. I think it would be such a great learning/drinking experience. Which cask of the Amrut did you end up with? 226 or 227? Let me know what you think after you've tried it.

@@therumrevival VERY hot as is - very high proof and drinks as such. A bit drying and there is a note of molasses that comes in on the finish, faintly. A little water helps tame the heat and brings out more flavors. Not a lot of flavors, not what I'd call rich, but pleasant. No real funk, and the molasses note was more detectable. I've only had one session with it so far. BTW, another bottle is in the current Unicorn Auction if you're still on the hunt. That's where I got mine - there were two up and I got one. The other didn't sell so I expect this is the same one relisted.

@@mzmegazone Thanks for sharing those tasting notes. It helps set the proper expectations. Ive seen similiar comments from others regarding the heat and drying quality.

Fantastic video. It's even better without dark leather couches and dark wood 🪵. Makes it feel far less stuffy and more approachable. Rolling Fork seems to be doing some fantastic work. As soon as I heard "I can't front", I said to myself, "Yet another 80s baby showing their age." It made me feel I was watching the right channel
