One of our viewer has asked this question that there is no locomotive in Vandebharat Express and banker locomotive also cannot be installed then how Vandebharat Express is crossing the difficult climb of ghat section. So in today's video we will know how Vande Bharat Express will complete the journey between Mumbai to Shirdi via Thal Ghat between Igat Puri and Kasara Ghat and Bhor Ghat of Karjat and Khandala without Banker Locomotive. So for this watch the video till the end and if you have till now. In the previous video we told you that Maharashtra is going to get 2 Vande Bharat Express which will run between Mumbai to Sai Nagar Shirdi and Mumbai to Solapur. Mumbai Sai Nagar Shirdi Vande Bharat Express will cover 340 km in 5 hrs 25 mins via Thal Ghat in Kasara area near Mumbai and Mumbai Solapur Vande Bharat Express will cover approx 455 kms in 6 hrs 35 mins via Pune It will pass through Bhor Ghat located between Karjat and Khandala. Let us tell you here that Thal Ghat and Bhor Ghat are the most difficult railway ghat sections in the country. And they have many tunnels and high bridges. The slope of the Bhor and Thal Ghats is in a ratio of thirty-seven. This means that every 37 meters the ground rises by about 1 meter. That is, after 37 metres, the climb increases by 1 metre. The gradient of the railway tracks to the ground at Igatpuri and Khandala is the steepest in India. And normal train trains on both these ghats use additional locomotive banker locomotive i.e. in addition to the locomotive pulling the train from the front a locomotive is also attached at the rear of the train which pushes the train from behind in the ghat section to ensure that It should be ensured that the train does not roll back in the uphill and downhill. The banker locomotives prevent the trains from rolling back. However, due to technical glitches in attaching and removing these banker locomotives from the train, the travel time is delayed. But Vande Bharat trains will avoid this unnecessary stop as they will run without banker locomotive. This will reduce the travel time. Now the question arises here that there is no locomotive in Vande Bharat Express and it is a semi high speed train in which banker locomotive cannot be installed, then how Vande Bharat Express is crossing the difficult climb of Ghat section. So let us tell you that this is the wonder of technology. The name of this amazing technique used in Vandebharat train is parking brake technique and using this technique Vandebharat Express is completing the difficult journey of Bhor Ghat and Thal Ghat without banker locomotive. Vande Bharat Express is fitted with parking brakes as an added safety feature. These parking brakes would prevent the train from rolling backwards or sliding forward on an inclined section. Sudhanshu Mani, the retired GM of Integral Coach Factory, Chennai, the maker of Vande Bharat and coach factory of Indian Railways, said that the train will not require any banker locomotive as it has been fitted with parking brakes with brake callipers which are different from normal vacuum brakes. Vandebharat trains are equipped with state-of-the-art computer controlled disc brake system, which help in crossing the slope. Let us tell you about the parking brake that this railway brake is a type of brake system that is used on the coaches of railway trains to keep the train stable when climbing and sloping or to keep the train stable when parked.

    This question was asked due lack of basic knowledge of automobiles ,science education. Local trains, Metro trains, Vandebharat have multiple Motors to run it.They are powerful enough to push through gradients. More power drives means better rail grip also,besides parking break.

    Even in 1980s the first unit local train ( EMU as called these days) from Mumbai had came to Pune without the bankers.

    Though you are correct that parking brake system makes these trains run without bankers in ghat but many informations are incomplete and incorrect.

    My query is can a wheelchaired person can travel in this world class train ?? Are doors wide open enough to enter along wheelchair. Also is there ramp on stations to enter railway coach. Because sugamya Bharat says every disabled can travel. And it's true , beacuse journey in such a grand train is very enjoyable. So please do the needful. As per my knowledge even Mumbai CST station don't have ramp or any other facility to enter the coach. I request railway authorities to make available aisle wheelchair like flights. Thank you.

    Bhai kyu galat info de rhe ho, aisa kuch nhi ki Vade bharat mein do locomotive hai, Vande bharat is a self propelled train, each 4 coach combination is generating power for itself, Currently vande bharat has 16 coach that 4*4, For easy understanding you can say 4 engines, for future Govt is think of 8 coaches vande bharat train that means 4*2

    Not useful. Main question is sidelined. Every Saturday one EMU rake runs between lonavla and karjat & vice versa without bankers. And credit goes to 4 motor coaches, and plays pivotal role in running training EMU trains. That's it..🎉🎉

    Don't think so, as locals have wide body as compared to express coaches. Tunnels are not that wide to accommodate 2 locals a time. This is my feeling.
