As much as I enjoy these types of stories it's sometimes a bit difficult to sort the 'That happened' ones from the real ones. I almost instinctively brace for cringe when I hear someone mention they were the cause of a "popular bully's downfall" or whatever. No amount of bracing is enough though when the "and then everyone laughed" hits.

Tbh I've wondered what I would do if I experienced a real life event that sounded fake. I'd wanna share the story so bad but would I, knowing that most people would think I was lying? 😂

I actually have one. I had a high school rent-a-cop once threaten to call my dad because I was "skipping classes" note that I was out of high school by then. All I said was 'please go ahead and bother my dad that I'm skipping classes after I'm *done* high school' Found out later that all the accusations of him spying on students in the bathrooms was true. And then it found out that he was part owner of a strip club downtown, turns out you really should disclose when you're in a building with minors that you are part owner of a nude bar

I have at least three: In grade school, a boy who I’m calling Voorhes bullied me without mercy. My teacher, bless her heart, told him that he has to stop, but he laughed and said to her, “We were just playing.” I was so upset and distraught from it all that I cried on the spot as he said that. But when I finally had enough one Minneapolis Winter week later, I pummeled him by stuffing snow down his coat and kicking his stomach. He of course told on me, but my teacher looked him dead in the eyes and asked him, “Are you saying you lied about just playing around to me?” He still tried to bully me later, but she always turned a blind eye to him and his friends when I fought back with all my rage. I’ll never forget her telling me, “Just let me know if you need help with him.“ Later in high school, once a “king of the class” kept accusing me that I was a racist. (I’m white, he was black) Thankfully I didn’t have to stand up to him because everyone in our grade knew I stopped a boy from ripping off a girl’s hijab from her head. People didn’t listen to him after that. His “friend” later tried to annoy me with singing loudly while I was doing homework, and I told him “Just shut the F up, dude.” In the calmest possible way I could.

I have a similar anti-Muslim incident that happened when I was in 6th grade. Basically, I shared a bus with other neurotypical people (I'm autistic), and one of them, I swear his mom didn't want to name him something normal like Henry or something. Or rather, the kid was probably embarrassed by his birth name, so he started going by aliases like B-Rabbid or Timothy Allen just to make himself look cool. Anyway, one day, B-Rabbid (which was his name when the incident happened) had his phone out and started videotaping these two girls on my bus who were wearing hijabs at the time and threatened to post it on KZread. Brought that up to the principal, and I think Mr. Rabbid got suspended, but I knew he would be back on the bus someday. Sure enough, he was, under the alias Timothy Allen. The bus driver sadly went along with it.

Oh, wow. I actually have one of these! Back in middle school, there was this kid, we'll call him John. John was known to be a bully and nobody really stood up to him. He insulted me about my weight (I was a little chubby, always have been) and I said "Hey! That was- wait. Bill, is that you?" I had never known anybody named Bill. I knew his name wasn't Bill. I asked him if he wanted to go eat lunch with me but then I told him never mind and that last time they got Bill's order wrong and Bill punched them in the face. John continued to bully me but I always called him Bill and told him stories about how Bill would have something bad happen to him and then punched somebody in the face. This got to the point that he would try to interrupt me when I said anything. One day, John got so annoyed that he punched me in the face. He laughed as if he finally won. Then I said "Classic Bill..." as I was trying to catch my breath. He looked shocked that I wasn't gonna stop. He just took a few steps back before the bell rang and we had to go to class. John never bullied me again. Neither of us told a teacher about what the other one did. I gave John a chance and before you know it, I stop hearing stories about John being a bully. I'm not sure if he actually stopped or not. I just hope he's fixed himself up.

My story doesn’t exactly fit, but I really want to share anyway. There’s a girl at my school, let’s call her Queenie, since she always says stuff like ‘yas queen,’ ‘i’m a material girl,’ you get the idea. She’s definitely not popular, but it seemed like everybody knew her as the Annoying Girl. I don’t know, it seemed like she thought everyone liked her, but then she’d sometimes start a conversation with me and say “I dunno why everyone, like, hates me.” To be honest, I don’t know why, she just has that aura of unlikeable-ness that’s hard to pin down. She once confessed to me that she used the N word, and two of my friends who are in Drama with her, they said that she laughed during a Holocaust movie, and used the N word again, once on a black kid, and on my friend. …My friend wasn’t even black, she’s Hispanic, I think. (Mexican? I don’t know what she is, but she’s not black.) Apparently, Queenie had annoyed a new girl, Samantha, a lot. Like, to her limit. According to the rumors, Samantha snapped and beat her up. There was a boy who sat next to me in History, and we both mutually disliked eachother. But we both agreed that Queenie deserved it.

So I really actually smiled when Mr. Facts called himself an "edgelord" (I know all about the teenage goth/punk phase, I desperately wanted to be an emo/scene kid but did not have an environment that was conducive or accepting of that) but my girlfriend was playing the South Park videogames and they kept referring to the protagonist as "The Buttlord." So now everytime I give her dog butt scratchers, I ask, "Who's the Buttlord?" She really doesn't like it when I ask her the same question when we're having "adult time."

Story 1 is mine and I actually have an update nearly 20 years later. He did not learn his lesson until it was too late. Popular kid with money and parents who swore he could do no wrong and so he bullied EVERYBODY (even the teachers and staff, this is why they sided with me). Well I ran into him a few months ago and he ended up getting not 1, not 2, but 4 girls pregnant, 1 on each year. Now he is working 2 full time jobs just to pay the 4 child support, all because he couldn’t keep his hands off the popular girls. Maybe I should have aimed for something else.

I'm British and, to be honest, can't see why American schoolkids get so worked up over popularity. It's something that I never saw as really mattering in UK schools. Sure, we did have popular, unpopular etc but seriously nobody gave a crap if Boy A was rugby team captain or Girl A was the school 1500 metres champ! Maybe the education system over the pond wouldn't be in the crap state it's in if this popular/unpopular/nerd/jock/geek etc labelling was tossed out with the rest of the rubbish.

While not exactly the popular kid, these 2 kids kept bullying the hell out of this special Ed individual that I didn't know and I told them "better stop", clearly this led to them teasing me instead for a bit and after awhile of realizing that I practically pretended that the bullies never existed they just stopped, at least in front of me, hope that kid is doing alright I saw him get teased on a couple occasions but was too shy to do anything till that day

Elementary school. This girl who had a reputation for being around was confronted for talking to this kid who was in a relationship with a girl in my class. During lunch. The girl who has been around got Coke zero poured on her head in front of the whole lunchroom. The lunchroom was quiet. "Coke girl" shoved the girl who poured the coke on her and yelled at her. Security guard broke it up. The girl who has been around was in the same high school as me. She dropped out when she got pregnant in sophomore year. I have her blocked on Facebook. I remember her Myspace. She had "I ❤my baby" and high school guys in her profile photos. She was in 7th or 8th grade.

At my school most if the popular kids are nice, or at least to me cuz I’m pretty popular too. I’ve heard from some people that they’re annoying but none of them are really bullies. But I do have 2 stories. A kid at my school who was white was calling a kid the N word. The kid’s aunt had heard about and made a video calling out the kid and the family. The guy who was bullied moved schools. He’s really nice and funny so I’m sad he moved. I’ll see him this fall after we play him in Football. I’m looking forward to it.

I guess i've got a 2-for-1 from my highschool days (single back to back incident) i was your typical nerdy, shy, gloomy and slightly autistic dude back in that time (now knowing i'm trans and in transition so my mental space is much better now) During lunchbreak i had just sat down at the side of one of the stairwells and some popular d-bag (higher grade and popular all across) decided to try and provoke me, don't recall the insults and don't care, so instead since i didn't respond threw his pe bag at me. Me being rather paranoid since i had never been without bullies in any school i had a rather fast reaction speed and grabbed said bag from the air and pretty much 'return to sender' that bag into a nutshot on the bastard. And my being a sneaky, silent bugger (speaking of walking and stuff just for some reason making barely any sound without trying) and not liking to fight, but also holding grudges on bullies, i gad been scouting my class bully's routes to certain classes i knew that day was also my 'planned day' for a revenge on that bastard. So i got up and followed my class bully on our way to the next class, took my chance at one of the stairwells with doors and snagged him in a chokehold, dragging him into that stairwell where i choked him out until he was seriously blue in the face until i simply dropped him on the ground gasping as i walked off like nothing had happened. This sort of stuff is also why i generally consider myself a pacifist because i know if i get into a fight i can go far beyond any reasonable limit. If i do willingly engage in a fight it is because i know my life is in danger.

So this happened in my senior year of high school. I was done helping my teacher clean concession stands from a basketball game that last night and as a reward, I got to eat the ice cream from there. The class was however ending and I was going to go into Computer class where my butthole classmate also attends and tries to make a fool out of me every time he can. He does that to girls and tries to flirt with them the next day. Caught him looking at my butt once. But that part wasn't important for this story. Anyway, I try to hide the ice cream but the boy saw me and started mocking me. Saying I shouldn't eat that in the classroom. The teacher wasn't in the room at this time so I obliged. As I was eating my ice cream on the desk right outside of the classroom when my Computer teacher asked why I was on the desk. When I told her the reason, she went, "*scoffs* (popular kid's name). Come on, Lili, get inside the classroom." She then scolded the boy about bossing me around. When he tried defending his case that I shouldn't have the ice cream, the teacher that gave me the reward of ice cream poked her head into the classroom and ripped him a new one as well. You can argue against one teacher if you so dare, but you can't argue with 2 teachers that have a valid point. I finished my ice cream in the computer class. (She doesn't allow food all the time but mine was an exception cause it was a reward.)

One student in my high school was very popular. I never really understood why as I thought he was just an overly entitled Kevin Jr. that treated me and a bunch of others like dirt. Well, the reason why he was so popular in school was because he dealt Walter White stuff. He was led out in handcuffs by the police. I understand he's still in prison to this day, even though it was more than 25 years ago he go hauled away.
