Boa's tail barb doesn't get lost until she performs the spell to remove animus magic from the continent. I'm not trying to be mean or hateful at all, I'm just letting you know and the story was beautifully written.

When I started writing it and I put that, I realized it sounded off and I thought her tail barb was at an impactful moment. Not sure why I didn't think about it more until after 😭That's my bad And thank you!! I appreciate that so much, seriously ❤

I was about to comment that but the tail barb being gone will make more sense with the scout pointing that out like why would a scout just randomly look closely at boa if there was no major difference at a glance

Jerboa and Glacier reminds me of the Song Brothers in arms by DaGames but in this case it’s Sisters in Arms, I don’t know why it feels like it’s Brother in arms to me.

It's such a heartfelt story! Seeing the development of the friendship between Glacier and Boa is truly suomething I've been wanting to see. What I also liked was how Glacier was portrayed. The empathy and understanding she displayed when we see her as a queen was clearly seen in Glacier's younger self. (Spoilers!) It was probably only because of Diamond's enchanted crown that Glacier harboured any sort of hate towards the NightWings. Although she's never shown much, I've never seen her say anything bad about that tribe. P.S. Maybe here's another idea: How did Wasp spark the Tree Wars? Or, something about that period. We've also seen in The Dangerous Gift that Wasp was afraid of the SilkWings and LeafWings conspiring against the HiveWings. But how did that happen? It'd be great to see some of Queen Cochineal, too. She was only a passing mention by Scarab in Book 12

Aaaa, so glad you enjoyed it!! And yeah, Glacier didn't have the crown at this time, so she was much less focused on the NightWings or being distrustful of other tribes. Doing an episode on Pantala would be really interesting!

Oh... this is so sweet.... it's making me miss Queen Glacier... we need a winglet about Jerboa and Glacier's friendship. I headcanon after the events of book 14 Snowfall goes to see Jerboa and tries to befriend her like her mother did, but I think we can tell it won't be the same. also... Jerboa only lost her tail barb after Glacier died, because that was the cost of the spell to get rid of animus magic. and I'm pretty sure the line Glacier says about Jerboa having to save her magic only comes after Boa asks her why she never asked for a spell. but this is just me nitpicking, I really like the finished story.

Interesting AU, relegating the one spell limit for IceWing animus dragons to after Darkstalker. I wonder if that made Prince Arctic's life in this timeline significantly different, as well as how he met Foeslayer. I'm also curious what your theory might be on how the limit came about in the canon series! What sort of fearful things may have happened that both IceWings and SkyWings were already fearful of animus dragons even before Albatross?

One question when will you use my idea? Of what if moon and qibli confessed their relationship before book ten
