Kuwait is a Gulf country that is frequently on the agenda with government crises, resignations, cabinet changes and parliamentary terminations. So much so that the dispute between the government and the Parliament has taken the country to the polls for parliamentary elections three times in almost three years. Dec. Kuwait is an exceptional example for the region in this respect. And why is this so? Why is Kuwait the closest model to democracy in the Gulf? Why is there a strong parliament in the country compared to others?
