How did it just float away?! [EP 49] | Sailing Millennial Falcon
After sailing north from Pigeon Island in Guadeoupe, we arrive in Deshaie and take a walk to a beautiful sandy beach. On our return we notice that our dinghy is not where it was though! We then make plans to sail to the next island, and fix a bit of the boat in order to do so.

Yeah, I know that I'm years late to the party here, but I am watching your videos from the beginning in order, and this is where I am at. The dinghy 'randomly' 'coming untied' and 'floating away' to be 'fortunately' 'rescued' by that person is certainly SUS AF. As others have suggested, I hope you obtain some way to secure your dinghy to prevent anymore 'random losses'. Enthralled with your journey so far, can't wait to be caught up to present day!
Despite all strange things going on around and around. The chemistry in between these two are explicit. Adorable sweet happy couple. Just having a great time what ever happens. So cool. Fair Winds 🥐
You guys are so funny! Your personality’s are so bubbly, and the banter back and forth has quickly mad your channel one of my favorites.
The oldest dinghy-trick in the book, lol. But you two are just the sweetest ever😀
Natural beauty and funny that’s what Khiara is. 😍You’re a truly blessed one Adam.
I don't think you are clumsy Khiara. You are a lovely person and Adam won the big lottery !
man you guys have such a good vibe. #stopthebruising
She is such a beauty....inside and out. You are lucky to have her!!
Sounds like you guys just got a 20 euro life lesson. Glad you got your dingy back. Time for a lock & chain.
Hahaha...beautiful couple, great life, with just enough challenges to keep things stirred up enough to joke about...Highest Blessings
I'm guessing he "saved" the only dinghy that wasn't locked up.
I'm with everyone else.......... your videos just brighten the day. Thanks for sharing
It's official. I have voted you the cutest couple on KZread!! 🏆 I love the way you interact with each other. Now if only Adam would stop beating you. Don't worry Khiara, help is on the way!! ❤️❤️
What a funny episode about Khiara's bruises, but Adam, what a lucky man you are to have such a companion. May you two truly have a wonderful and unforgettable traveling experience and life afterwards. Totally hooked on your channel.
No make-up needed! She's a keeper!

Totally!!!
Time from for a chain and lock for the dingy
This has got to be one of your best video's yet. All kinds of beauty, humor, and drama. Well edited as well.
There may be teens in St. Martin but there are none in its name. Whether Dutch or French, it is Saint Martin, just like we say it on the farm. Love watching you guys and following all of your travels. You beat us by about a year and some change and we're jealous. You'll probably be 3/4 of the way home to Oz, by the time we slip the lines in November. We were married on the French side of St. Martin, back in 2012, and that makes us freekin experts on the island. (I've been a bunch of times but hope to take my lovely back many more times). Cheers!
You produce awesome videos, but you also produce many laughs. Well done guys. :-).
Need lock and chain to secure you dinghy. Seems unusual that it just came lose. Glad you found it
khiarra has beautiful skin. The bruising is usually a sign of vitamin deficiency, especially vitamin k which can be found in green leafy vegetables. On some of the islands dinghy rescue is high on the list for scamers looking for a quick reward. Make sure you report it to the constabulary. The islands thrive on the tourist dollars, pesos, euros and yens and good relations is important to them with the tourist and yachties! Some islands charge you a fee if they find your dinghy afloat in the harbours .
Yeah, so he gets a ride home in a dingy, and then a 6 pack for taking it... i would get a chain and a lock. if the dingy really was getting away and he got it back from drifting in the ocean...... why did he bring it home and not back to the dingy port ??? where ALLLLL the dingys are !?!?
You two are such a fun couple, love your videos.
As usual, i have so enjoyed your video... incredible .. Keep of the excellent work...
Hello Sailing Milllennial Falcon crew, What a nice uplifting segment, Love Y'all.
Your videos always make my day. Always smiling, laughing, and having a positive attitude.
Ok seriously I had iPad on full screen, had to change size so I could see all the funny comments. Only 6 comments and nobody is gonna mess with that Brau job? You are awesome

Thanks for watching :)
Again, great video, thoroughly enjoyed it. 😎👍🏻
You guys are brilliant. You show the world how a couple should be!
Adam, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again you are one lucky man to have such a beautiful smart woman by your side. Your videos are the most natural on KZread love them. Can’t wait till the next one.
if you were on our island and someone recovered your dingy, they/we would not ask anyting in return and ask you to join in our party, just being a good neighbour.
First comment!? Love you guys! You're truly an inspiration to my husband and I. Such beautiful people, but so down to earth and genuine. We are currently in the market for an SV of our own 😁 Fair winds and following seas! 🏝⛵
Just love you two...you brighten my day by watching these! Love the eyebrows BTW ! 😆😆
You are fun to watch, always laughing, except for the dinghy episode. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks guys. Stay happy.
That was by far the funniest video you two have done. The eyebrows and the domestic violence arms killed me.
Lovely video. ...Cheers
Great video, I think you guys have more fun off camera that we never get to see!
Dinghies do untie themselves! Down at my boat last week, an inflatable tied up to a mooring buoy in the river 2 boats up. Next day it was still there (owner off sailing). An hour later it glided past my boat, and had to be rescued! Very long painter, but somehow it did untie itself from the mooring! Just as well I knew where it had come from. Great video BTW!
Great video guys. Such a natural beauty with no makeup needed. You may be anemic if you bruise so easily. Try researching and try to find iron rich foods. Cooking food with cast iron can increase blood iron levels. Thanks for sharing your adventures with us!
At first started watching you for Kids but now love you just as much Adam so had to upgrade my patreon. Keep it goin need help just ask
Another great video
Keep going guys! But the brushing??? OMG! Hanging in here!!! .👍👍👍
Very nice video. GOD bless. JC
You two are very funny! Great vid!
*suspiciously eyeing Adam* "Miss, are you okay??" "Huh? Oh no, we're sailors."
Maybe you guys may see this comment, perhaps not, just the same; trust all is well, and the "eye brows" are great, however, they're really beautiful natural of course, because you are fearfully wonderfully made Khiara...😉 God Bless Adam & Khiara 👦🏻👩🏻🦰🙏🏻⛵⚓
This isn't the first time we've heard of someone untying a dinghy, but who does that??? We've taken to locking ours too. That was a gorgeous beach and the water looked so nice, so refreshing, I think that's what I miss the most. But I can live through you two and so happy you found that beach. The view from your trail was amazing too, that I wouldn't have attempted so I'm glad you showed us!! Boat bites is what I call them and most times when I visit the doctor I remind her that I live on a boat!!! Great video, can't wait to see Montserrat!
Either chain or flexible wire through plastic tube with a padlock and padlock the outboard to the dinghy. There are in the world good folks and not such good folks, unfortunately we have to watch out for the not such good folks. bit like the criters, most are fine but some you just have to watch out for. All your attention editing sure does pay off though, great job.
I know these guys have a patreon page... but can we start a GoFundMe to get them a new tender? I cringe every time I look at the poor, half deflated thing. And any extra money can go to Khiara's pastry fund. :P

Someone has to start selling new dingy and motor setups with a decidedly distressed look about them or perhaps paint them both in colours that standout in a crowd. A police report could then say the boat was fluro pink and the motor fluro yellow.
My girlfriend did karate when we first met. I had a similar experience with strange looks due to bruises. Only, it lasted for years. I was really contemplating getting a shirt that said: "the bruises are from karate...honestly!". I remember going to a wedding with her and literally watching people look at her forearms and then look at me and scowl. It was frustrating as I knew she would kick my butt if I ever tried something like that with her.
Great episode, sorry it takes so long to edit and get them out but they are the highlight of the week for so many people (I am sure). You both are such great people. oh and the reason you hate raisins, is they are just rotten grapes, so don't let people fool you on them sneaky little buggers.
I laughed so much!! My wife is horribly allergic to cats...and after being around one her eyes swell shut and she looks like she's had a beating!
Yes...Maps.me has been great for us all the way around the world! -Rebecca
she was blinking sos..
And THAT there is Exactly Why most all cruisers lock there dingoes up.....!!
For bruising: Increasing Vitamin K intake will reduce how long it takes your blood to clot, which directly affects how much one bruises and the size of the bruises when they do occur.

Thanks! I usually try arnica cream but it doesn’t prevent it from happening in the first place (other than trying to be less clumsy) so this is helpful!
4:51 good God
11:20 very diplomatic....
Before having a baby or surgery, Kiara should tell the Doc about the easy bruising. You could have a mild clotting disorder??? Love your VLOG. Fair winds!

As in, "appropriate footwear"? I think that's against their religion.
Ok so who else went back to old videos looking for serious eyebrows lmao!!!!
When my wife and I were on our honeymoon, we went surfing (VERY novice surfers!) and she took the nose of the board off her eye socket bone in a wipeout. Totally black eye swelled completely shut. You should have seen the dirty looks I got then!!! And to anyone saying dinghies do sometimes come untied by themselves... that only happens to people that can't tie a proper knot (of which I'm sure Adam and Khiara are not those people).

Haha, glad to know it’s not just me with the bruises then!! Ooh a black eye, you would have gotten some very dirty looks for that one!!
Great video again, how are you finding the Tayana 42, would you recommend one after your experience with one, im looking at buying one
You guys are to funny
Entertaining as always. It's alright Khiara, we all knew about the fake eyebrows. lol Dingy scam...(oh it was floating away, we found it & brought it back! That's $20 thanks) Do you know there's a double edit at 11:30?
The woman who walked into doors
Where those hiking shoes at? :)
Again!? Hiking in flip flops? I mean, you're stated reason for leaving the boat is hiking up a hill and you don't lace on some sturdy shoes? As a hiker cruisers are kiliin' me with the flip flops!
Is there a way to "disable your outboard" so it won't float away again?
How do i upgrade my patreon
is that the Red Catamaran S/V Archer in the background ?

Yep it was!
LOl. Funny story. Same thing happened to me except the ex girlfriend had been in a fight with another girl. People were giving me the stink eye for about two weeks.
Damn I hate when that happens.
are cruisers NOT allowed to use hiking shoes?

It is a sailors right of passage. Every channel is the same. Flip flops for hiking, sharp rocky beaches etc. Not even a close toed pair of Teva's just cheap flip flops.
number one cause of hiking injuries Improper foot ware
Me: Kierra, how do you search for make up tutorials online? Khiara: I browse
4:53 very hot!
Wearing you all-terrain sandals I see.
That’s not the first time I have seen that scam on a sailing channel.

Really?! I mean we would have bought him a 6 pack for saving our dinghy anyway but when he asked for a set amount it was a little strange!
(@11:00...) Yes, it’s unfortunate that you can only take on face value the word of the gentleman who ‘rescued’ your dinghy... The only sure way to prevent unauthorised use of your dinghy, (Or worse!) is to lock to the cleat on the dock. Different countries and different cultures have different moral standards and ethics and when lots of ‘Outsiders’ visit these places, they leave themselves open to exploitation by the locals who have the advantage of strong local social cohesion. Sometimes this local social cohesion is altruistic and sometimes not. €20 is a not insurmountable sum to learn a lesson about how to prevent such an occurrence in the future. (Sorry for sounding like a sermon...) Best of luck in the future in this situation. May you never know the trauma of having an indispensable item stolen whilst cruising! Cheers, Mike
what eyebrows ?? :-)
Funny story, my wife got stung by a bee under her eye. It gave her what looked like a black eye. Swelled, and bruised, her and I were walking around a store. This huge hillbilly was running his mouth looking at me like he wanted a fight. I said to my wife, I'm getting away from you before I get beat up. My wife said LOUDLY, well if you'd stop hitting on me!! Not cool!!!!
I would bet someone untied your dinghy because they didn’t like how you tied too close to them or something. Had it happen to me too but I seen the guy untie it and Throw the line in the water. Then he gave me shit because I used the same cleat he was tied to. A dock with 20+ dinghy and 4 cleats 🙄 . People suck lol
or maybe someone came in and wanted the place your dinghy had so they untied it and took your place.
You are so fair, scottish/irish fair that you bruise easily
Makeup is evil and should be banned.
Curious why everyone thinks they have to waste precious time recapping what happened last week. Obviously we all watched last week and we can remember. Save the space for new stuff! Love your videos,
