I didn't get her early enough to use outside of her tutorial appearance, so I just assumed she needed better relics to be used more effectively. Boy was I glad I had started farming those relics when pf showed up.

Beside PF, she is always mediocre and still is. She certainly benifit a lot from recent meta, but after this version, her mediocrity will probably become more apparent again. I dont know what kind of drug does VarsII take would make him commont on himiko's strength based on current meta, which is extremely biased toward fire weakness. As he said, himiko's weakness is always too situational and rely too much on fire weakness enermy. No fire weakness=>hard to trigger her passive=>no dmg .The current version of the game is the best she can get and there wont be too much room for her to grow. There is still probability that himeko can do well in the future, depending what character mihoyo wanted to promote over that whole 2.x(something like jingliu in 1.x), I dont think there is a single MoC 12 missing ice weakness after jingliu and before acheron come out. If that character is selected to be FF, then himiko may still have some chance to be good, but I dont think it would as rediculous as current meta anyway since there are they need to promote in each meta.

About 9:10 Firefly and Himeko ABSOLUTELY has synergy with each other. Firefly ignores weakness and applies fire weakness with her technique and skill which creates more opportunities for Himeko do to her follow up attacks.

It wasn't nonsense. The only reason pure fiction exists is because the devs didn't make enemies and scenarios that let erudition characters shine. Then they made pure fiction so now erudition has its uses

@@isshonsaha8673they created pure fiction because people were complaining, not because Erudition had no places. If anything, it’s hunt that we’re in the hardest spot, except Seele, but she doesn’t really function like other hunts, and is thus much better.

It was a problem for the longest time, because even when bosses had minions , once those were gone, you just had a much more beefy boss, which Himeko struggled against. PF and SB were almost tailor made for characters like her to bring them into the meta. Even now she's rated super low for MOC.

Im surprised you didnt mention Gallaghers release as a huge buff to himeko, her main issue was that there was no consistant driver for the fire weakness break and then you release gallagher who not only heals your entire party, generates skill points and has a cleanse but also has both insane single target for boss and multitarget for the goons break capabilities. He works so well with her you can throw in any other 2 units with the duo and you clear every single current gamemode.

You can do so even better with Firefly who can be used universally anywhere without fire weak mobs. Gallagher is good but just note he will be tied to fire weak stages just like Himeko.

Prior to Firefly's release, I used her team with my poorly built Himeko to clear PF lol it was so good

0:54 Bronya is still a good choice even in break teams since she doubles the damage your break dps deals per turn due to her turn advance when you spd tune her after your dps even if her buffs are unnecessary

So happy Himeko is finally getting the credit she deserves. I built her since day 1 but am so happy she’s good. I used her with Kafka before Black Swan was a character and before Acheron and I robin she was the 3rd mommy I used in my triple mommy team.

She was my second 5* (obtained from standard banner before ever pulling on the limited banner) and I never saw the issue with her. I knew early on that she was meant to be a late game unit thanks tonher A6 and saw that the pairing with Herta was insane from miles away. Glad to see people no longer shitting on her though.

Got a friend to start playing Star Rail during 1.5 and they got Yanqing as their 5-star from yhe beginner banner. My only consolation to them was, "at least its not Himeko" ... Nope, turns out they took away even that.

Yanqing just needs a specific support to boost him up. Which can easily happen depending on various ways they expand on gameplay. He very much feels like a "HSR Keqing" to me.

@@amandaslough125 Himeko is more like HSR Keqing. Keqing got buffed by dendro. Himeko got buffed by PF and super break. Yanqing has no niche and is competing with RRAT team and Boothill, and loses massively. Aventurine fixed his passive uptime issue but his damage is just lacking.

​@@amandaslough125 I cannot emphasize this enough, 100% uptime on Soulsteel Sync still has him doing worse than a lot of characters. He brings nothing special other than a chance to freeze enemies, and good luck counting on that to carry you. Jingliu gets similar crit/dmg amp and similar damage ratios. She is better for SP, has action advance, and cleaves.

Firefly actually is good with Himeko. The ability to force fire weakness allows teams like Herta and Himeko to be even stronger

You would use Firefly, Himeko, RM, HMC in PF now. I don't see how Herta fits on this team. Losing too many buffs. Better to use Herta with Jade if you pull her.

Very lucky. Instead I have just Himeko E0...from the selector...after spending a lot of jades on it... I play HSR just to play her (I bruteforced a lot of contents with her since 1.3), I pulled JY's for her. Now I want only more Eidolons, but she ( and Clara) don't exist in my games.

So lucky to immediately E1 her. After pulling for Ruan Mei, just trying my luck on Firefly banner, Himeko came home in 3 pass (now I'm guaranteed for Jiaoqiu). What I really need is more erudition character for Pure Fiction. Then after a few days, tried pulling on standard banner and got her again😭.

Himeko does synergies with firefly with weakness implant It makes it easier to weakness break more enemies

Been runnin Himeko, HTB, RM and Gall in DU and the new AS mode and have been really happy with the results. Was happy with her when PF dropped as well, glad she's turned around from her 1.0 standing.

Actually bronya is still good with firefly if you don't have ruan mei or Robin because bronyas action advance and attack boost are still good

So glad I got her and her LC randomly since the beginning, back then she almost got no use but now we have PF and superbreak

I have an E1S1 Himeko and she has carried me through difficult stages where I needed a fire dps and the break follow up mechanic works really well with Xueyi+Herta

I started playing exactly at the beginning of the year and I remember Bronya and Gepard being the only standard characters I wanted. Fast forward to last week when I finally hit 300 standard pulls and used the selector on Himeko immediately as I didnt have her yet. The turnaround she had in just that short time frame is insane and I couldn't imagine picking anyone else off that banner now

As someone who got her day 1, this is a thumbnail I'd only ever dreamed of seeing Two of her lightcones and a year later, and happy tears have now flown freely. Thanks vars

Sadly my Himeko will never be this strong because my harmony MC is already engaged to firefly.

You make such great content...always. I wish you would improve your voice editing since you're one of the few creators I almost cannot understand when listening at higher speed rates. Something about the bass balance, I assume.

Lets also not forget the FuA focused relic and planar sets as the best Himeko had for a long time was Atk +12% with Fire DMG 10%. And she can use Duke’s 4 piece just as well as Jing Yuan

So happy I got her and built her on both accounts she has only gotten better

I’d also thank erudition path coming to SU. It was built around Argenti but she’s so general with a damage split of FUA, skill, ult, break and dot damage, that she benefits from all the ult spam too. Combine erudition and elation path and she destroys anything, and you can combine these for ult/ skill/ FUA spam for toughness breaking in break teams now too, which is helpful for DU favouring break for Firefly. She started as a calyx monster and grew into being a Pure Fiction/ SU/ DU monster who also occasionally goes from being a decent MoC/ AS pick to a brilliant one depending on the matchup. So universal and reliable now. Thank goodness I got her!

I rerolled for Himeko then used her for most of version 1. I took a little break with 2.0 for variety. She's actually the only standard character that I've used since 1.5 when HH replaced Bailu.

As a Himeko main since I got my playstation HSR acc (I was a JingYuan/Welt main on my PC acc) Himeko has always been good, but mostly as a sub dps, she only really now is a good main dps. And thats coming from me... an S0 E4 Himeko main with every single one of her best supports and an E1 robin... Shes always worked as a main dps but she struggled more if she couldn't break anyone, but now that Fire is usually a weakness on enemies rn she can work as a main dps! Hoping for more and more buffs to her cause then ill be unstoppable with her!

I was genuinely happy when I lost my 50 50 to her way back, and it was like a week or two before the release of Pure Fiction. The timing was PERFECT.

Himeko never conceals her desire to control the meta... And Break is no exception.

After doing around 375 Pulls on the Standart Banner (getting my fifth 5 Star on there) and still not having Himeko, I picked her from the Selector and I'M SO GLAD I DID! I already had E1 Bronya very early, I got Welt kinda late, but I had him. It was mostly between Gepard and Himeko tbh and after getting Aventurine it was clear I had to pick Himeko and I couldn't be happier with that lol. Who knows if I ever would've gotten her otherwise, I mean the red head alternative in Genshin, Diluc, still avoids me even after countless 50/50 losses lmao (not that I mind at this point lol)

I guess himeko is similar to raiden shogun. Both are underestimated at first in term of dps capability, but surprisingly still be relevant on most of meta mechanisms as well as super break (himeko) and hyperbloom (raiden shogun)

Proud to say I never gave up on himeko

Himiko has some really bad key traces, but getting 15% crit rate off of Benchmark is insane. To put things into perspective, 15% crit rate is about 4 substats worth. It's not anything like Jingliu getting a goddamn 50% Crit Rate just for existing, but it's still a really good trace.

Im really glad that Himeko got her time to shine even though she had it rough in the early stages of the game❤

She was my 1st 5star and now i have her E2 and want to pair her with Jade and Robin. With new herta cone + E2 rush + Jade she can get 160 speed with ATK boots )

When i got her in the free 5 star, I've recently started using her. She carried me in parts where fire weakness is good and my other characters aren't as efficient

Welt will most likely only get a buff when a character comes that benefits from a slow debuff like dan heng who's ult's damage increases from the slow debuff. considering hsr makes tailor made sets to a character the relics made by ced character might also be an additional buff to him.

My e6 himeko is eating really good with the end game content

Now I just need Dan heng 5* and Welt then my astral express team completed.

Himeko and Gepard are my fav 5 stars.

The only reason why I started HSR. I also spent a lot fo jades in the Standard banner to select her after 2 months. Pulled also JingYuan's LC for her. She carried me as main dps, doing overwork and bruteforcing contents when I had only she,Blade and Jingliu as dps. Now that im stronger, I complete ALL the contents with her; "she is good only in PF" is a bullshit. And im not using Superbreak. Himeko Hypercarry is good (if there is at least 1 Fire-weak Elite/Boss). I also pulled Firefly E1 just to being Himeko robopet. Try FF+Himeko in PF, FUA every new waves, so fun. Now I just want some her Eidolons😢

I remember back then during SW’s first banner, I lost my 50/50 to Himeko (she was the worst one to lose to 50/50 that time) I never thought my lost will be my blessing

I still haven't got himeko yet, at this point I might actually use jades for standard banners

Himeko IS my favorite character. I’ve had her since 1.0. Loved her always. She’s always been the best. She has so little people talking about her.

Here is the thing about Himeko, she was always good just there were better options before due to how the game was focused before but with all of the new characters and Pure Fiction, heck even most of the bosses in MoC spawning in their own allies, just allowing her to be so much better, it just makes her much stronger. Now that Firefly has came out, she can also take advantage of the fact Firefly doesnt need a fire weakness and instead provide her own which also indirectly buffs Himeko.

Himeko was always strong. 2nd highest base ATK in the game, ATK ratio rivaling destruction units despite being Erudtion, easy to proc follow up, perfect synergy with her lightcone... you name it. Relics like Grand Duke, and now Super Break only made her better. People just didn't realize and left her to dust her being a standard character. Have been using her since day one and cleared everything. Never regretted it. P.S: I have a feeling at some point a similar kind of video will be out about Welt too. He is extremely flexible, can be both a support or a carry and is a monster in both.

What cab we say. Himeko is a Beloved Character in Honkai Verse.

Himeko is one Standard 5* I've yet to get, alone with Yanqing & Bronya. Currently about 10-20 pulls away from Standard 5* selector too. As much as the community at large says Bronya is the best option to pick, I'm tempted to select Himeko as I already have Sparkle

Himeko is still my favorite character from the honkai series

still need 20 pulls to get her, but Gepard always takes my 50/50 and for the SB, I have Himeko's LC twice (20 pulls to get the 300 Free 5* Character at your choice)

Just pulled my E1 Firefly at 25 pity, but I also lost my first 50/50 to my first Himeko. And It wasnt the worst thing to happen, as game modes like Pure fiction are still hard to clear for me.

Himeko actually already has, or rather had, a place in dot teams. There was a pure fiction cycle a while ago where one of the buffs you could pick was advancing your team's actions when enemies take dot, favouritising characters that can apply dot but not necessarily rely on them, just like himeko. Along with hook and asta, this team allowed me to get my only 12 stars ever
