It was a good showing for sure, but even if g2 manage to get a very dominant lane against something like yuumi/zeri, which i dont think asian teams will pick, the game was lost by fnatic. I dont see international teams ever picking that fight or using unnecessary summs like rhuckz was doing. But its a good thing we have some teams doing decent macro.

I really enjoy reviews please keep doing them. As a college player on a small school insight helps us a lot. Thank you so much

On the strategy of mismatching lanes, I think it's especially good to do this with the champs that FNC has. If G2 didn't have the presence of mind to answer in mid lane like you said, then FNC has K'Sante, Yuumi, Zeri which should win out in terms of mobility between lanes, if only by a small margin. I'm pretty sure I've seen an LCK team use this specific faster rotation in a losing lane.

8:00 What you say there is actually brilliant. However though i never really did someone do that on a larger scale, i maybe did that twice in my soloq games, where we continuously swapped mid/top (since there was an actual lane domination on top i think, and top couldn't farm).

In all game ive played, draven with mythic item at 8 min never lost

It's not just that. Hans didn't want to go to NA in the first place. He only ended up there because Rogue put him in contract jail and refused to sell him to any org like G2 that would've wanted him.

The Azir pick seemed like a pretty greedy pick to me. You already have enough scaling in your Zeri/Yuumi pick, and with how the Draven pick warps the game around bot lane, just taking a pick with more agency early on would better suit your win condition.

After watching their game vs astralis today, g2 has shown they're totally fine playing out of just about any lane. I know it's only 3 games in bo1s but they all seem to be on the same page a lot of times. And even when they all int at the bottom tier 2, they did it as a team. If they can clean up the macro and minimize even more of the few mistakes they make this is a scary team for sure. I don't want to compare them to 2019s form but the ceiling for this team is incredibly high.

I want to compare them to 2019s - I think they have the potential to be better than the 2019s. Of course they need some growth for that - but If they actually grow and don't get worse or stagnate I am really interested in how far they'll grow. Same with Vitality tho. I think these two are maybe the best LEC-teams we had in years (the potential at least. I hope they'll use it well)

I think you are right, the all time low in the toplane department was definitely 2021 summer, bwipo out, alphari out, wunder playing at a all time low level... 2022 was a bit better but not so much. Right now Lec has finally a decent bunch of top like you said.

I wonder why g2 style draft doesnt get played in lck, they must have tried the pick-draven-and-put-yuumi-6ft-under draft in scrims.

They can. Both LCK and LPL got players who can pull out Draven any time. Gumayusi and Jackeylove comes to mind. But in LCK at least, picking stable meta teams often has priority over picking skill-expression champs where the game can go either ways very fast. Them playing bo3 probably plays a part too, as compared to the volatile bo1 format in LEC. Put simply, LCK teams rather grind out a slow and steady bo3, since they can pick meta and adapt game to game, than risking it all on a snowbally pick, especially in low stakes regular season games. We might see some of these in a bo5 finals. who knows.

To your comment at the end about no team winning MSI+Worlds in the same year Caedrel - SKT won 2015 Worlds, 2016 MSI, and 2016 Worlds; they just never achieved the golden road because Rox won 2016 summer.

I don't like wunder and reckkles in the same team. rhucks it's just a really meh. For the team no synergy yet.

I mean just winning worlds would be seen as better than 2019. (Since worlds is seen as the ultimate win)

I think that the reason FNC bot lane is struggling is because reckless after what happenened with the last team he was and the fact that somehow every team he land (other than FNC) end up having issues with him shows that hes an issues for the team and eventually for their game.

yea he went and won eum with one of the worst supports and junglers in all of eum, and got 2d place 2v5 in g2, so bad, and he died 2 times before 10 minutes as sejuani yesterday making it impossible for his adc to be on lane

I think if razork didn’t troll so hard early and just hovered bot this game would’ve been so different. Him forcing lvl 3 into lvl 4 viego with no prio bot then leading the fight and losing all summs from himself and bot lane just made bot suffer the whole game

@@vedantgupta2145 I had to rewatch just to make sure. Razork pushed them out and rekkles prob shouldn’t have e’d over but razork easily could’ve left or flashed rekkles had all summs plus yuumi. I’m pretty sure they would’ve lost all summs but it’s better than razork getting hooked giving first blood then letting bot get murdered over and over. All he should’ve done was hover and not even fight. His job was to make sure bot could farm till mythic. Not to mention he was already down a lvl. Everything else was just a snowball. He got gapped the whole game.

@@bowencermack5885 uhh? he had to babysit zeri cuz thats how the matchup works, get zeri ahead so she carry the late game . Also razork got viego's flash, he can easily leave (HE IS SEJUANI), theres no way he dies there but the botlane wanted to fight. Also he deliberately came in front of the hook otherwise reckless dies and their winning condition with him as well

@@vedantgupta2145 rekkles doesn’t die if he got hooked imo they have all summs. That jg bot duo NEVER gets ahead in any form or fashion early game. He isn’t there to fight just to make sure they farm. Oh boi he got flash off viego but now he has no dash himself and draven has prio. Sure rekkles shouldn’t have really been fighting but overall razork put himself and his bot lane is a bad position and that’s the last thing you want with a super scaling comp against a super early game comp. He played it terribly that’s all.

Damn Caedrel just sparked a very interesting thought in me by saying you never play perfect in league. I thought about scripters but quickly realized that they are dogs and have no macro etc. and then I thought well what is perfect then? Hitting every ability as soon as it comes back up (I am talking 0.0001s accuracy, youd have to "prefire" your keys because otherwise it would be not perfect) while moving your mouse literally in the best way possible all that makes a perfect play, right? NOPE. You would have to consider if the play is really worth it, if there are any other things that could be more beneficial for your team and yea if the play you are making is the best possible then and ONLY then do you have a perfect play. Now playing a perfect GAME... dayum dont get me started xD

Ngl the subscribe message is getting really annoying after the 10th time. Atleast dont put in the same thing everytime because its sooo long and i know it by heart by now. Its effectively like old 15 second long youtube intros that turned people away because the content was "locked" behind that.
