Maybe Joshua was not feeling it in Texas. A fighter has to feel comfortable in his surroundings.

Errol Spence is the golden boy over there. Derrick James was completely lost with AJ and purely took him on for the paycheck and it showed.

Right. Since Derrick James he has fought better and better. Looks like an actual boxer. He has a defense, a jab, and a body attack. Look at his earlier fights compared to now. Not to mention, he started back winning and knocking people out. It was about learning to actual box. Ungrateful mfer. Gain knowledge and skill from someone who made you back into a winner. Who helped you gain confidence again. Like you said. Ben said be explosive. Try that with ngannou and let's see what happens.

@chezzmaine that's exactly what happened. Remember aj first fight after getting with Derrick. It wasn't a knockout, but he actually was learning to box. Derrick said, "Then it's a process to getting him where he needs to be. The next fight is a lot better, and Derrick tells him what punch will be open. He gets back to knocking out opponents. His style and skill have gotten tremendously better since James trained him. Like you say, that's how they do. At least have the balls and respect to give credit to whom it deserves. You came to dallas to be a dog, not a pup. You are a dog now.

@babyamy3884 it's not about being happy nor it being a business. Fighters jump from trainer to trainer. He could at least give the man his credit for improving him. That's all I'm saying. Men do that these days. Well use to do that.

He thought he looked worse with James, just very simple style. Got hit more than ever against Helenius. Helenius said he was very easy to hit afterwards. I think Ben has brought some of his AJ's old fighting style back (he only ever got outboxed by Usyk) and kept some of James's.
