Adopting the changes of environment . The genes also involved ofcourse if your grand parents survived from the changes and can still produce babies/eggs, then the next of their generation will also survive and ,on this present time the creatures survivability is 100%. Because after the changes of their environment , the every details of the body system also changed to be able to adopt the new world .
