How DC GEAR MOTOR Works with ARDUINO and L298N
Ғылым және технология
In this video you're going to learn how DC gear motor works, and how to use gear motor speed control with L298N. This is a beginning of a fun experience on how to make a robot. Be sure to make Arduino Projects yourself to get the most out of this experience.
With that said, here's what I'm going to cover in this video.
#1 First we will discus the most important charactersitics of dc gear motor and how to use them to make a robot.
#2 You'll learn the composition of these motors and how to assemble and test them.
#3 Learn exactly how dc gear motor works with visualy appealing CGI through an easy arduino project.
#4 Now that you understand how dc gear motor works I will show you step by step, how to wire the motor driver L298N with Arduino for gear motor speed control.
#5 You will learn how to quickly create a code to have gear motor speed control.

Wow, can't believe you modelled and animated each of those components as part of the video - that is seriously impressive quality of teaching materials. Hope you can keep it up. Subscribed.

Thanks 😊 for the tip
Surprisingly high quality of CG. Very decent instruction for beginners of robitics.
The modelling makes everything SOOOO much easier to understand
Really informative video with great quality, I'm looking forward to all that comes from this channel!
Had to use this video for school, it's a good one, very clear :)
What a legend regarding the presentation and explanation!!
wish i saw this sooner. great stuff holmes
quality info, keep it up!
Superb..Superb ...Superb...👍👍👍
Such an awesome video! Well done !
Saw your "advertisement" on reddit. Watched it, and must say it is a very good video, very informative and well explained!

Amazing simple and easy to understand thank you thank thank you.
Thank you! Very helpful
Awesomeness 👌 👏 👍 Easy to understand and follow along. One complaint: we need more videos!
This is very well done. Taking things apart is a great way to learn/teach. well done!!

Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for subbing! :)
Note that with the L298N motor controller you can also control the speed of the motor using: analogWrite(in1,255); analogWrite(in2,0); Where 255 is the desired speed value (255 is the max speed). Replace it to 127 for half speed, 0 for stop. Reverse the values between in1 and in2 for the reverse direction. You can do the same with other motors (in3 and in4 in his tutorial).
Great editing quality, love your stile. Looking forward to seeing your channel grow and what interesting projects you will do.
This is a great and very informative video! You also put a lot of work on the graphics! Congrats!

Great video:)
Thank You 😊 So Much 😘 For The Tip
Nice 👌
Very good video. Thank you. The problem I face with 2 motors in a car/tank is with speed synch between them. Would you recommend of using one motor with a gear that can distribute different speeds to allow turns? Also, I wonder if such a great can be 3D printed.
Great work! 3d models of everything really helped with the explanation. Can't believe this channel only has two videos? Why did you ever stop posting? Ps. The background music could be a little low on volume next time.
F**cking amazing and professional. Hope your page be seen more often.
Great work man!!! Keep on!
Hi dude, Honestly I can't find a word for this video, amazing so good, keep it going, thanks sir ( first watch = Like + subscribe )
Hi, I love how you explained this. I would like to use some of your images for teaching purposes for grade 7 students. Would this be possible, and how would I reference your work?
Nice
This is a great video but the music is very distracting. I loved the detailed renderings and simple animations, but you need better soundtrack and audio equipment (can hear echo in the room). Keep up the good work
great
Thanks
OMG - what a excellent animation. how you created ? which software
From reddit.
This might be a silly question but after you connect all the wires, what wire and where do I connect it to my computer ( as well as what program do I use to code it )
Hey man it's so amazing! That's exactly what I was looking for. But can you please provide me the code??
Impressive visuals. What software did you use to create the animations?

can i use the motor shield driver to control gearmotors? a reply is much appreciated🤗😄🙏
My gearmotor RPM is about 12% lower when running in reverse. Do you happen to know why and if this is typical? Thanks!
I like this but what if i want 5 of these yellow motors can you make a video about that plz?
can we connect the power suply to arduino instead of l298
First Thanks for great video. Can anyone write what means in1 - in4 and enA and EnB?... and where can i change the speed?..
How can I achieve clutch mechanism in 3D printed parts? Please help! I want to develop a mechanism (positive drive preferable) that engages or disengages the motor shaft from another stationary inline shaft.
How did you get 800 gf-cm per minute as the torque?
Okay, so now I actually watched it, man those 3d models are awesome. Can I use those in my videos? Also, you used digitalWrite for speed control, instead of analogWrite in the code.

Thank you, thats a mistake on my part, I will correct it in the next video. For the next videos I was planning to make a quick start arduino video for beginners in robotics. I will explain digitalWrite and analogWrite shortly, and mention the mistake in the previous video.

Models are on the GrabCAD, open source (you can use them). I did not uploaded the wiring model yet, I plan to do so, and Arduino model comes in couple of days.

@@Robottronic thanks. Looking forward to more videos. I usually make videos anout Arduino etc in URDU language and such models will really help me. I will be sure to tag/link your channel grabcad when I use the models. Thanks.
What does the digitalWrite( “ pin name “ ,100 ) do ?

aahhh help, the link for the 3d model is not working, does anyone have an alternative source?
Where’s the model? Grab cad link is broken.
