It has fishing, restaurant management, farming, metal gear solid action, big bosses, cooking simulator, free dlc, what else … it’s basically all the top games combined into one.
As a Korean, it is deeply gratifying to see the native gaming scene develop and diversify from just PC and mobile games. Hope to see great things in the coming years that stand out in the industry.

What u meant to say if you are glad Koreans are expanding to single-players games instead of just F2P mmo games with mtx.

@@Nimoranot sure where you got that from in this video. Also, developers from other countries show their national pride and cultural heritage as well

@@jinpei05 the video didnt mention anything about it, you did. Koreans come crawling out of the woodwork to claim their national pride every time they can Genshin Impact is one of the most profitable games in the world, and no Chinese has ever said "I'm so proud of Chinese gaming industry"
Spoiler alert: They created addictive gameplay by creating addictive gameplay.

Not the hero we wanted but the hero we needed
I'm sure there are tons of devs in Korea who'd like to diversify the kind of games they're working on. Hopefully we get to see more of them make their unique experiences like this
This was was a breath of fresh air and so endearing.
Cult of the Lamb is doing the same thing while being a completely different game, nevertheless also extremely addictive.
This guy is an absolute inspiration! Having a clear vision and strictly following it ... indie games are the best!
Great game, just finished it, I'm hoping for DLC at some point. Sublime soundtrack too

You just got it!
Love everything that he says. This guy has the right mindset regarding game design. Would play for sure.
Seen it. Never played it. Still love it!
Really nice interview
This game is great if you play it on a PC. But if you are going to get the Nintendo Switch version, please don't torture yourself. Most of the UI elements are tiny. And all the loading screens are just disastrous even if your Switch is docked (TV mode). Hope they can fix those issues asap.

The lag when playing Stardew Valley in local co-op mode still hasn't been fixed and that's been out for a long time now. Some things are just constrained by the limited hardware of the Switch itself.

I'm playing on Switch, mostly docked and haven't really run into any issues, can read the UI just fine. Sure, it's cut down from PC/console versions but it's more than playable.
Wow never heard of this. It's serving a vibe similar to a quiet indie game few years back called Battle Chef Brigade. You go out collect your own ingredients and serve them up in food battles. I'm definitely gonna give this one a go.
Thank the devs for such an original and engaging game
This game should’ve been one of the nominees for game of the year 2023😊

Well, at least it got to be nominated for a category it doesn't belong in instead.. 😂
I've been playing Dave the Diver for about 90 minutes so far, sadly the game hasn't hooked me yet, going to press on.

Not yet, I've been tasked with catching tuna that seem to injure Dave every time they swim to close, enjoying the gameplay loop so far 👍@@Raptors2019Champs
Game was amazing on the steam deck
Initially it's addictive - but 10 hours in and I'm struggling to wanna play more.
Absolutely love this game!!
Where is the background music from? The game? Because it sounds amazing

Hey! It's that "indie" game that was published by a multi-billion dollar company! 😂

It's indie because it's pixel graphics. Didn't you know??

Yeah and not just any multi-billion dollar publisher, but the one which invented loot boxes in the 90s. From their home page: "Nexon also pioneered the concept of microtransactions in the free-to-play business model..."

True, to be indie gotta be made and published by 1 guy living in his basement
Using whatever they purchased in their spare time.
Looks fun Sad its not on Xbox😢
Is IGN doing an Age of Sigmar review
The long loading times are keeping me from buying Dave the diver for the switch sadly.
Crazy to see the people that made maplestory made this game
Korean games are about to take off. Looking forward to stellar blade next year.
The part where they reveal it turns into a real game was quite a twist.
a korean loving starcraft? no way
Top tier game and top tier soundtrack!
feel like Planet Vs zombies🧟♂️
Wonderful interview, interesting and informative video but the weird decision of the narrator repeating exactly the same point that the man himself articulates makes no sense. This is the most IGN thing ever. Why would anyone decide to do that?
Should've been the Game Of The Year😅
No idea this was Korean! So cool
But is it indie? (Nope.)
Console please❤❤❤

Just another fake indie company game
Wow. Can't believe the developer made an obese character as an excellent diver. Very unrealistic.
