now it makes sense why Vader decided to physically pick up the old man and throw him down the abyss rather than use the force. Damn feel bad for Anakin. He was so easily mislead believing this old powerful Sith was his friend the whole time, joined him to save his loved one from death, only to be enslaved by the one who made empty promises. Poor Anakin

galslovveme that’s completely not true , if he continued reading the comic , vader force pushes palpatine later on , meaning he’s not afraid of palpatine’s threat , but to be fair , he pushed him to save his life ( or he thought he was at least) , and both vader and palpatine knew at some point they will fight , and vader was in fact thinking and planning on overthrowing palpatine , vader was not dumb , he realized later on in the comics that palpatine was lying , or that he’s hiding the truth

Many people believe that Sidious was "not so nice" with Vader because he was disappointed with him. Ah, no. That was just the REAL Darth Sidious. He had no reason to act anymore because he finally had him. He's an ABUSER. And Sidious has to keep Darth Vader angry so he's more powerful. This is just the Sith way.

Yes! Sidious is a narcissistic abusive awful person. He was even worse with Maul, who he raised from infancy, since he never had a reason to pretend with him as Maul was always under his thumb. With Anakin as Vader, he was still only kind as a front to keep Vader loyal and teach him his place. Any pretense of friendship was an obvious facade.

Yes, he is an abuser… but a smart one. Anakin is utterly broken here. The best thing he could ask for after learning about Padmè is a reason to die, and Sidious immediately shocking him to near death like a madman would be an excellent one. For what is my understanding of the character, Anakin’s reaction to such a move in this moment would have been to just go at the Emperor with everything he’s got and let himself be killed. But the Emperor, at least in the movie, plays it smart. He smiles, yes, but behind Vader’s back. Because he’s not an idiot, so he knows that, if you spent decades playing the role of the friendly grandfather figure in order to manipulate someone, you can’t just drop that role from one day to another. Sidious’ power over Vader is much deeper, much scarier, much more perverted than just shocking him into obedience. The novel describes this scene much better, with Vader wanting to try and kill Sidious, but then giving up on even trying, because what would be the point? That’s what Palpatine did to Anakin. He crushed and distorted his soul to a point where Anakin genuinely sees him as the only friend he has left.

He was just saying what anakin/vader wanted to hear so it would only make him easier to turn to the dark side

vader could probably have been able to force choke Palpatine eventually. Vaders potential in pre mustafar was 200% sidious. He lost 40% of that potential after losing to obiwan. 60% of 200 is 120. So vader had the potential to be 120% of sidious but he only got to 80%. Sidious knew this so he made his suit weak to force lightning.

Actually in cannon he has become just as powerful as Palpatine if not slightly stronger as duelist due to his cybernetic enhancenents while Palpatine had slightly more variety in his force based abilities making them both equal to Yoda, him being 80% as powerful as the emperor is no longer cannon

Screen Ninja Come to think of it, every user of that light saber has suffered some grievous bodily injury as a result of dueling with it. Anakin lost all his remaining limbs, Luke lost his hand, and Finn had his back sliced open. Rey hasn't been hurt just yet, but...anything could happen in the next two movies.

Love this channel and having someone to talk about the lore in such a passionate way. Much like MyNameIsByf and the Destjny Franchise, you're the best in terms of the star wars universe. Keep it up! My contest entry: Darth Vader's light Saber so I too can cut down my enemies. So I never understood how Sifo Dyas was able to just walk up to the Kaminoans and commission an army with no down payment or proof of support. It's basically like the Kaminoans were like, "Hey guys, this uh space wizard man came and wants us to copy pasta this guy a bajillion times because he had a spooky dream of war or something." And they were all like, "Uh okie, but tell him our price and all that biz first." Then the first one was like, "Ah, uh, see he's gone and died now, but he said the council is his buddy, whatever that means" and they were all like, "Oh whatevs then, let’s just do it, someone will pick up his tab lol." Like what? What kind of business men were they? and that's my dialogue joke, hopefully it made you laugh, it's my best chance at winning a sweet lightsaber! (Darth Vader’s would be amazing)

Before the battle of Nabbo. A Munn Hego Demask approached Sifo Dyas and informed him that the market showed a massive rise in weapons manufacturing. Demask told Sifo Dyas that the Republic would be overwhelmed if an army was not created. He suggested a cloned army that could be developed in secret along side Rothana engineering to supply the ships, vehicles, and other material. Demask gave Sifo Dyas access to a secret bank account of massive amounts of credits to be used as a down payment to Kamino. But Hego Demask's True identity was the dark Lord of the Sith Darth Plagueis

"Star Wars Darth Plagueis" by James Luceno pg 414-417. There also was a conversation between Plagueis, Dooku, Sifo-Dyas and Qui-gon that was decade before at pg 261-267.

As palpatine handed it to him Vader faced away. He ignited it acting like he was looking at it . Made a 180 degree turn and plunged it into palpatine . He said the galaxy belongs to him now

That's the Revenge of the Sith game on the Ps2. But that's only if Anakin beat the high ground, and killed Obi-Wan on Mustafar. If Obi-Wan died on Mustafar, that would mean that Grievious wouldn't have been killed either for example

Just started watching your videos each one is amazing thanks for posting them. The Ventress lightsaber looks cool with black blades but if thats not possible I'll be ok with purple.

Great video. A problem I have with your videos is I'm just starting to watch them from the beginning and I can never find which video is next. There is no organization in the playlists so I can't figure out which is next without watching like 5 videos.

What I always find interesting about this is the fight over power between raw emotion and raw force connection. It's understandable as to why Palpatine was able to fend off Vader's attack, as Vader only has 8/10 the force connection compared to Palpatine, but Vader was completely overwhelmed with anger. Oh, and I wouldn't mind Vader's saber.

Well you have to take in account that Vader was massively weakened by his new injuries and dealing with a wide variety of conflicting emotions. I'd argue that if Anakin hadn't been crippled, he would've been able to take Palpatine 1 on 1, but after losing 3 limbs, being burnt all over, and connected to an alien feeling suit, his power needed time to restore itself. As far as his anger, I don't think he was specifically angry at Palpatine, or even directing it fully at him. He was experiencing several emotions connected to his loss, and his anger as a whole was divided between Palpatine, Obi-Wan, the Jedi, himself, and so on. Due to the trauma he couldn't focus all of that emotion against Palpatine.

D Patrick Andrew A Has Palpatine been said to be the most powerful sith ever? I know he had a mastery of force lightning above any previous sith, but there's been alot have absolutely terrifying Sith out there. Nihilus could drain the life of an entire planet, Revan had a wide array of masterful skills in many force powers and saber techniques, not to mention several "unkillable" Sith that had ruled an Empire of Sith that would test that theory many times. Even Plagueis seemed to doubt his power while drugged/intoxicated in the middle of a force storm. Not saying that Palpatine wasn't a fearsome Sith lord, he would definitely be on the list of most powerful, but unless Lucas or someone has explicitly said he was the most powerful, I wouldn't really give him that title.

Totally; his metal arms would make him excellent at hand-to-hand combat. Also, wouldn't his hands be able to block force lightning? The current would take the easy path through the metal instead of going through less conductive flesh, right?

He couldnt. Palpatine didn’t slip up til the end when he thought Vader was fully subservient. Palpatine didn’t let his guard down around vader

@@nickcapella2440 and the Dark Side takes pleasure in the suffering of others, so he probably was also distracted by the happiness he got from killing a person.

I remember when this video first came out tbis series of comics our some of my favourite videos of Star Wars theory even to this day

I really want Luke's lightsaber but Darth Vader's also seems pretty cool

Most likely due to Vader’s strength. Although not strong enough to overcome palpatine, but strong enough to withstand the damage. Luke survived it as well, because Vader absorbed it for him.

Vader didn't die in rotj directly after the lightning, but due to the death star about to blow up no one could help him and luke to fix his suit. i think if someone had time to help them vader would have survived.

Please SW Theroy I would love a lightsaber for my 10 year old son who over the last two years since The Force Awakens he has discovered the Star Wars universe and has fallen in love as we did at his age. Remember when you first saw Star Wars and the feeling of total awe it gave us, well he's there and a light saber, a Force Effects light saber would give him more than a gift or new toy, it would give him the feeling of connection, as if he too were a Jedi as we all have wished we were. Thank you SW Theory, even if my son and I don't win, we love your videos and have been a member of yours since 50 thousand subscribers area, when I saw first saw your videos I could see the love and appreciation you had for our Star Wars universe and were truly a kindred spirit. Darth Vader's Black Series Lightsaber I've been with the Dark Side of the Force since I was a little kid and this was an awesome video

Going all the way back here to start watching and catching up.

Got 2 short scenarios this time. Basically during the Clone Wars the clones only made up two thirds of the Grand Army of the Republic, and the rest were recruits. After Order 66 was issued only the clones with behavior modifications complied. So only the recruited soldiers and most A.R.C. Troopers did not execute Order 66. Half of the 212th Battalion was made up of recruited soldiers and some of these soldiers actually assisted Obi-Wan in escaping. Many of the recruited soldiers and A.R.C. Troopers in the 212th defected going out to an unexplored part of the galaxy and setting up their own republic nick named "The 212th Republic". They would later be one of the main providers of weapons, and supplies to the Rebellion, and would start providing their own troops clad in white and orange armor to contribute after they felt confident the Rebellion could win. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ During the Old Republic era the Sith Empire is assaulting a Republic controlled military moon around Coruscant and test a new weapon on the moon. The weapon itself was ancient in nature, and the Sith did not fully understand it, they just knew it takes centuries to charge it, so they used it on the biggest military target in orbit to see what it did. The moon, everything on it, and anything in orbit around the moon just vanished in a bright flash. The Sith and remaining Republic forces assumed they were vaporized. They were not however... 3,650 years later exactly the moon over Coruscant reappears, but what has been a few thousand years for the galaxy has only been seconds for those stationed on and around the moon. They would immediately be surrounded by Star Destroyers with their captain demanded to know who they are, and how they made a small world appear out of nowhere. Contact would be establish, but the Empire doesn't believe that they are old republic soldiers, rather believing it to be a trick. Realizing despite having an entire military base of a moon, they are just simply outmatched by the shear fire power of the Star Destroyers, and the shear numbers of TIE Fighters, and Imperial Marines. Taking who they can around half of the old Republic fleet manages to make it out, making a jump to a random system, but the old Republic fleet is going to find that the galaxy is now a very different place. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Anyone is welcome to use these as long as I am given credit.

In Attack of the Clones,Master Coleman Trebor jumped up on the platform that Dooku and Jango where.Jango just blasted him off,but, what if he killed Dooku and Jango then and there?In that timeline the Death Star plans never get to palpatine,and Anakin stays closer to the light.

(insert darth vader NOOOOOO) I just really want it cause Vader is probably the most iconic villain ever and I love how deep and complex his character is.......
