Dana had metabolic syndrome I fail to understand how trt would reverse that. Also, his testosterone was just above the upper range of normal (keep in mind these "norms" are taken from a sick population with men who have less and less testosterone each year so I feel his levels were perfectly normal, and they keep lowering the range.. an injustice to men)... why are you acting like he was over dosing on it? It seems to me everything Dana experienced was probably because he went mainly carnivore and exercised... like a million other freaking people who get the exact same effects when they go carnivore. Stan literally just sounds jealous to me acting like Dana's TRT is some smoking gun to everything Dana has accomplished... jealous that Brecka has been made famous by Dana. I am homozygous for MTHFR C677T, and diet + supplement accordingly to attenuate my risk of related issues stemming from it. The issue is the overcomplication of optimization, a heavy overemphasis of the impact of extremely common polymorphisms, and many unfounded wild claims, often with accompanying monetary upside. I don't think there's anything wrong with a lot of what he says, but he does himself a disservice with some of the aggressive claims about the impact of (fill in the blank) exorbitantly priced biohack, or giving the impression that most issues can be solved with a methylated B complex. Stan put it best. Majoring in the minors.

I am on my third doctor to try and get this accomplished and it is more than frustrating so i've used 10X, Marek, Inside tracker to get me on the right path.. and i have to say we need videos like this but in the same breath point out the good these companies are doing.

@@MorePlatesMoreDates I agree! I actually wasn’t previously aware of any claim that MTHFR is related to longevity, my point is just that in some people a common, seemingly benign mutation or polymorphism like that could still be an important link in the chain causing some problem. You have hEDS.... It's just going to show positive, read up on how to cope/treat it." 😂 I'm a former patient care tech and phlebotomist, so lots of medical exposure. My Doctor wouldn't tell other patients to do their own research, he just trusts me and if I go down the wrong path he course corrects me. Super good dude! I didn't know how common the mutation was for MTHFR. 🤦 only problem with going to deep in researching some things.

Makes me sick listening to scammers like Brecka. Anyways. "When I go to the doctor they only want to prescribe medications, they should start with the basics and supplements and do all the advanced tests some shady influencer suggested to me in a 20sec tiktok video". Obviously I maxed out here but when I read or hear people say that their doctors should do xyz and start with the basics...I don't think people actually get what the VAST MAJORITY of folks out there are willing to do when it comes to health. Most people do not want to lose weight, change their diet, work on their sleep, do exercise, reduce or stop alcohol, stop smoking and so forth, sometimes even when they're told that they'll die soon if they continue like that. Most people want a quick fix. Why would modern medicine spend a ton of education on things that the majority of the population wouldn't even consider? Let alone fancy testing that's lacking scientific support or actual clinical use. And that's coming from someone who could hate all of modern medicine and every doctor because of an illness called ME/CFS that I'm dealing with since 10 years, that has been completely neglected since the 60s, there is no therapy, no medication, nothing except a lack of education, lots of stigma, unprofessional behavior, ignorance, a ton of gaslighting.

@@yes-vy6bn If by "vitamins" you mean supplements...It's a ton of additional information that they'd have to learn, plus almost all supplements hugely lack quality control, very often lack proper studies, including interactions with medication, long-term safety, proper dosages,... and are usually less precise and weaker than medication, won't be covered by insurance. That being said, they'll usually also have less (severe) side-effects.
