I know this video is old. But I've enjoyed watching your new videos so im going back and watching older ones. Here's another thing we have in common. New mom, disney lover, and bisexual. (I am all of these things lol) No wonder i feel myself relating to you so much. I literally remember saying the same thing " i can't be gay because i like boys." I love how real and transparent you have always been. Never stop being you! You are beautiful inside and out!

I'm around your age and I can agree that there weren't too many role models back then (or they weren't too visible anyway). I pretty much always knew I was into girls, but coming from a traditional, religious family that meant I should be burned at a stake. My first role model, who helped me accept that it was ok to like girls, was a fictional character (Thirteen, from House MD) I can say that moving away from home and being able to express my true, authentic self (sexuality included) was totally helpful for my recovery, especially when I was surrounded by people who supported and loved me no matter what. I just hate the stigma around bisexuals, even tho I'm not one. You love who love and period. Thank you for this video and for sharing your story!

sexuality and EDs can be so intertwined! I personally realised coming out of a recent relapse that whenever I start recovering and I regain capacity for romantic feelings I become aware of my feelings for other women and panic and often start restricting to mask it... Lots of shame involved I guess. But thats why sharing stories like yours is SO IMPORTANT bc it makes me realize its completely okay. Thank you Rachel
