Yeah Cody so we want you to go out there and even though you won the Royal Rumble and can challenge whoever, we want you to give us a shit eating grin and act like this is the greatest decision ever made to have The Rock take your spot.

No joke, a bunch of Roman Stans (not fans because these people still haven’t moved on from WM40) are trying to hold a Stop the Steal rally at WWEHQ

Cody also confirmed he knew before Mania but you do know Rock was promoting the maych vs Roman since last September right? That's literally all provable. And today Cody admits he knew before Rumble and so his pointing at Doman and his face was a sabatoge
Still don’t know what they were thinking with that Rock and Cody segment. Cody won the Rumble, he was entitled to call out who he wanted 😂

So you realize you are watching a scripted show right? It's like a movie where actors play a role. Cody knew as he confirmed in an interview today that Tock was facing Roman before Roman. So indeed his pointing at Roman and his sad face was all planned to make the audience get on his side to pivot the match.
Yeah no, even if Cody did react like they wanted the Rock returning would have just made me stop watching. It would have shown me that the WWE product would never get better

Meanwhile they lost hundreds of thousands in ratings due to Cody's sabatoge. But keep going on since you know Cody admitted it today

Well, considering that WM 40 was in Philly, that "Petrol Station" is probably a Wawa.
Its Amazing that they actually thought that that people wanted to see the two part timers in the Main Event! Cody worked three years for this and Finally deserved to win and if Vince was still there we Never would have seen Cody finish his story because Cozy now is basically a WCW guy, only Codys kinda like the Jericho,The guy that wound up winning the Big one back in 2001 when he Unified everything
Cody did the ring thing sabotaging that horse shit. Says a lot about Dwayne and his crew about where his head was(and probably still is).

Super Cody to the rescue enjoy your bland babyface champ
The original plan, if true as reported, would have been god awful. The Rock wins the title from Roman, immediately vacates it, and then Roman gets it back. What a pile of crap that would have been. Even though Dwayne has a ridiculous ego, at least he apparently had the sense to see that would not go over well. Especially just inserting himself and ruining a story a long time in the making.

The Rock politic his way to WM40 but WWE will try to show the fans that it was part of plan 😂😂. HHH booking and end goal was always Cody vs Roman 2, until The Rock came in to clean his dirty laundry after the controversies he had outside of wrestling. Their was difinetly power struggle between HHH and The Rock behind scenes, This is more evident when Steve Austin was reached at the last moment by WWE for his special appearance in WM40 only for Undertaker to take the call. The Rock politics behind scnes burried the Royal Rumble win in that particular SmackDown segment. Now The Rock as per rumours have even told LA Knight to stop doing the Taunts before he does his Elbow Drop. 😂😂 I like the wrestling character "The Rock", i liked his contribution to WM40 as a heel, but Dwayne Johnson is a different story he is a two face celebrity. The Rock is speed running to becoming another Hulk Hogan.

I imagine they would think since he has been promoting it since last September that an employee wouldnt lie and sabatoge someone. Which is what happened. Cody admitted today he knew before Rumble it was Rocks match. Hes dirty and that's a fact he should have been a man and asked for the match not attempted to sabatoge someone for real.

@@tqueen7131 Bruh the rematch with Cody was in the works for a year. The Rock proved he’s the ultimate heel. That’s on them.

Storyline: Rock and Cody agreed on the initial decision for Mania. Cody reversed course on their agreement out of pride, setting up the Rock’s turn at the press conference (“the final straw”) when Cody took a shot at his family following Reigns’s volley about Dusty. Cody got what he aimed for. Rock felt hurt, that Cody acted such a way while turning Rock and the fans against one another, hence what he gave Cody with the line “not to break his heart again.”
A 'George Michael Bluth' Cody Rhodes character would be golden. Thank you Tom for bringing that to my brain.
Ross is looking really clean, Cheers mate
Cody's got a wrestling brain, even takint out his personal feelings and disappointment he'd have known it was fucking stupid ides to begin with and made no sense.

Very happy we got Heel Rock, can't stand face Dwayne character
@pazman21

Heel rock is more of his natural self. Face rock is the act.
Brian Gewirtz is a butt kisser to The Rock. What The Rock needs to do is sit down and retire. Let the younger talents like Cody have the spotlight. This is exactly why he shouldn't be on the board of TKO. All he cares about is power and money
Why on Earth would Cody be on "cloud 9" to give away his title shot against Roman? It makes zero sense for him to be happy about it because there was no win situation for him. If Rock wins, Cody doesn't get to dethrone Roman, if Roman wins Cody wins at a lesser event. As most people say, Rock and Gershits completely misread the room and thought the Rock being The Rock would overcome fan apathy for anything else and got found out to be wrong.
Thanks 🎉
I knew as soon as I saw that look on his face that people were going to jump all over what was happening if they indeed liked Cody as much as it seemed. 😄👍
Didn't know the Ruby/Angelo thing was real, even after her telling him she's pregnant, till I saw they got irl married. Don't get me wrong, I believed her preganancy 100%, but not that it was Angelo's, b/c I thought the whole relationship was a work. I thought she was married to some other guy.
You know they could do had the rock V roman at mania 40 if they had Cody best roman at mania 39 😂 It could of been a simple story, Cody wins at 39, roman has a year long spiral where he’s obsessed with trying to get his title back, in his obsession the bloodline turn on him and leave due to how he’s acting (this could happen at the royal rumble after roman gets eliminated and it’s final straw for the bloodline members), at his lowest point Roman could try to remain in “control” and shout how he’s still the head of the table and THEN the rock could challenge him at mania to see who the “head of the table” truly is.
Remember kids. If you don't get your way- cry about it!
Where is the story that AEW wasn't allowed to watch the Royal Rumble.

Just like Daniel Bryan was never the plan, Cody main eventing Mania was never in Dwaynes Plans.
We already know how WCW died, a bunch of unlikable douchebags got paid way too much to put on some of the worst TV ever seen by man. There's no mystery here.
How selfish of Cody. He had his chance last year's Mania, he blew it. Didnt want to step aside for the big money match. Now hes floundering in his failed championship run because they got nothing for him to do, he got the championship too early and y'all didn't let the real storyline cook. Impatience is the real bane of humanity.

"he blew it" you mean, he did what his boss told him to do? And that there's a different boss in charge who actually listens to the fans and wrestlers they choose, Cody now did what his new boss told him to do and send everyone home happy which also include first title defense which turned out to be a 5 star classic. But who cares about all that? Just hype boredrom Reigns and the same 5 moves he does in every match right?
Either this news video is 4 days old, or Ross has done laundry over the weekend and last shirt in was the first shirt out 'cuz that's the same shirt from Friday's podcast.
Imagine Cody cheering for The Rock taking his WM main event away 😭
If things went as planed for them where cody acted out what they wanted perfectly the best case senerio is that the fans no longer cared about cody and pop for a nostalgia act or we get what we got but better performed
Imagine WWE changes its name to WCW
Why did I think Ruby Soho was a lesbian? I thought for sure she said so in an interview... Congratulations to them! he's a fellow Quebecer so i'm happy for him ^_^
Who killed WCW doesn't even taolk to Flair. Uhmm....what?
I wasn't interested in yet another death of wcw doco until now, getting execs is a big deal.
1) Roman vs. Rock was never officially announced for Mania 40 even after the Rock confronted Roman. 2) WWE never indicated that their plans for Cody at Mania 40 had changed. 3) Cody's story was already nearing its end, and Roman vs. Rock had not been built up properly yet. What sense would it have made to end Cody's story right before its conclusion to jump into Roman vs. Rock with very little buildup? 4) Why would Cody give up the title shot he earned after winning the Royal Rumble? 5) They could've just-y'know-not done that at all. Or did a different way instead of having Cody willingly give up his opportunity. That just made the buildup unnecessarily complicated.
We don't need another documentary on WCW. For over 20 years we have heard it all. The Rock would've been better off if he made a documentary about his father and grandfather. This dude is just trying to make anything.
What is a mustache? It's a little bit of hair grown over the upper lip I don't have 1 Nobody else here has 1 But you know what? A mustache Is for a real man
Well The Rock was the original opponent for Roman at Wrestlemania 39 so it was his spot originally but Rock didnt do it which sucks because id rather watch that than Corny Rhodes finish his Corny story but its popular so whatever
