How Close Have the Cleveland Browns Been to Winning a Super Bowl?

For much of the past two decades, the Cleveland Browns have been the laughing stock of the nfl. Just three years ago, the Browns were by far the worst team in the NFL, given their abysmal 0-16 season and their 4 total wins from the span of 2015 through 2017. Even just last year, the browns finished with a losing record of 6-10.
However, amidst the craziness of 2020, the Browns have turned things around, big time. With an offense led by the best running back duo in the nfl in Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt as well as the improved play of Baker Mayfield and a defense led by the potential defensive player of the year in Myles Garrett, the Browns are set to clinch a playoff berth for the first time in 18 years.
This has left some NFL fans wondering, could this finally be the year that the Browns win a super bowl? Although the Chiefs remain the team to beat, this is still the first time in a while that there is a non-zero chance for the Browns, which leads me to the topic of this video, where I will be discussing how close exactly that the Browns have been to winning a super bowl.

Fisrt, I want to pay homage to Marty Schottenheimer who died Tuesday 9 February 2021. It was his 1980's team (with future Steeler coach Bill Cowher on his staff) featured in this video. As my Steelers decline, the AFC North crown can belong to Cleveland barring injuries the 2021 season. However, we can't discount B-More, their head coach is a tough minded leader, and barring injuries there Lamar Jackson is just as dangerous as Mayfield. Joe Burrow and the Bengals will make some noise once they gell, I give them the 2023 season. Cleveland going to the Super Bowl, I'll go out on a limb a predict the 2023 or 2024 season.

Cleveland Browns should have gone all the way to the Super Bowl in 1986.
We still have 8 championships and at the end of the day thats all the superbowl is..a championship
