Marylyn is rather odd. Is fastidious about her pantry and has to have labels facing her, suffers from asthma, but is concerned about certain cleaning products aggravating the condition, but is content to live in a germy, dusty home which is 7 million times worse than cleaning chemicals!!! Sorry, but that confuses me.

It occurred to me that most of the people on these shows are completely alone and are probably depressed due to sad circumstances and are stuck in a rut. It's so sad,we should always be kind. it may happen to us.

Some of them have families/partners. I guess if both people don't like cleaning and are lazy most likely no one will clean or do anything. I just can't believe that they air is harmful yet they keep living in filth, that's worse than lazy. I think this lady must also have some other issues. The fact that she can't clean and she won't show the house to others but keep living in filth.

Yes, you're right. The sad thing is that living in this state makes you feel more depressed and you get into a vicious circle. It's much easier to keep a clean house clean, but once things get to this stage most people will need a bit of help to get things sorted, but are too embarrassed to ask.

itsonlymyopinion ok I do the same. Yesterday I poured vinegar mixed with a little dish soap all over my basement floor and scrubbed it, then rinsed it with a hose down the drain. I just moved in this 120 yr old home, so I wanted to make sure it was clean. The difference it made was amazing.

I don't care what any of you hateful people say, this episode was heart warming. This woman has a beautiful spirit about herself and a kind heart. She obviously fell into depression and her troubles became too big for her to take on alone. I can't stand a nasty unkept home and I'll be very honest with the owner if I think it's nasty, I won't accept empty blanket excuses either if they offer them up. But this woman was clearly depressed. I enjoyed this episode.

Love this show it motivates me to clean I remember first watching this back in 2007 and thinking omg what is wrong with these people !

As a professional housekeeper for a real estate company all I can say is less is more. When you live in an old house you sort of need to be a minimalist. In all honesty unless you are a spotless person, wood floors are hard to keep clean. Berber carpet is soft to walk on, keeps your floors warmer in the winter, and just run a vacuum over them. Put runners down and wear slippers in the house and its all good. My grandmother who was immaculate has a minimal amount of nice collectables. Keeping collectables in glass cabinets also eliminates dusting all the time. Less is more for sure.

Yep I couldn’t agree more. I am now just going through all my stuff getting rid of probably almost half. I am extremely tidy and clean person to start with and am ocd diagnosed. But I want to be more of a minimalist. Takes the stress and worry away of having to clean it all up everyday. So I will just be keeping what I absolutely need anything I haven’t used within the last year is going.

+Tinna Gunnur Bjarnadóttir well I always try to see the good in things. I will admit some people on this show have had ridiculous excuses and didn't change which isn't good. Idk how they can live like that and it's not healthy and they need more help then Kim & Aggie.

I love this show. It does just the slight bit of judging in the beginning (enough to keep us engaged), but afterwards is compassionate, and works with what they have. It shows how lovely a home can be, no matter ones means, and what they are working with, if they have a boost and some help to take pride in it. I dont really enjoy those expensive, ' makeover' shows. They are not realistic for an average person, but this, is achievable and inspiring.

I love how these two ladies educate.

Khanallie milo wow really? when I wash dishes I have to touch chicken/fish bones with my bare hands to get them out of the bottom of the sink then put them in the bin.

Khanallie milo I don't touch anything in the sink so I use a clean spoon or chopsticks to scrape stuff of then drown things with running water so there is no old water...I even use tongs to pick stuff up

This video makes me cry. It's just, at the moment, I live in a dirty house. It's just I can relate to how it's like living in a house like that.

could you spend just 15 minutes tidying one room every day?... set a timer and stop tidying once the timer goes off. you could start with the smallest room eg. the bathroom.

This gets me in the mood to deep clean cause I see before and after and it's boring but so worth it. I love my mom I thank her for teaching me to never get my room this dirty!!

I love these two ladies. They keep it real and actually get results! They literally said if you are not going to keep it clean, we have no reason to be here. 👍🏾✊🏾

I've been trying to find this show again for years. I use to watch it on the regular. I love this show!

I suffer from depression and I struggle to stick to a routine sometimes so I can relate yes in some cases it's laziness. Once it's been left so long it's so hard to start on your own. This show is motivating me to get started though :) I just use antibacterial wipes like flash and multi surface cleaners etc cheap as anything and works a treat!

This is the best show ever.

I think all the people that were on this show that weren't sick should be scientifically/ medically studied. It seems they have super strong immune systems.

İ am allergic to flowers and dust and when im in a dusty room or outside where a lot of flowers are I keep scratching my eyes and I keep sneezing like 9 times if I was there I will sneeze like the girl who sneezes 12.000 times a day 😂😂

M Howard you'd be surprised at how well it works. I worked for a cleaning company that guarenteed cleaning that insured scent free and safe for pets and children. We were entirely green. Black tea and vinegar for windows, mirrors, and glass. Lemon for soap scum and calcium (pee build up). Alcohol (vodka) for disinfecting things like change tables. Olive oil for wood polish. Baking soda and dish soap for everything else. You'd be surprised what you can clean with elbow grease and baking ingredients. It was a lovely job.

M Howard oh my gosh there are so many household items that are more effective and cheaper than cleaning supplies... my fav are white vinegar baking soda a cola and I add essential oils to make them smell beautiful
