I'm a maintenance technician. And I just wanted to leave a comment and say that you did a very good job of explaining the wiring diagram an the flow of electricity. Most explanations do not look underneath the plastic to show you what is taking place.
As a retired electronics technician and long-time motorcycle enthusiast, I thought your presentation was excellent.
thank you very much from ISRAEL. your explanation is an Excellent . you are explaning for details simple and clear, and demostrating the best way to teach. even i have background about it . but i have been learning more things from you . THANK YOU VERY MUCH . OF COURSE ILL WATCH MORE .

Really? There are people that watched this and gave it a thumbs down? This was an awesome video with great explanation of how key components work. What a bunch of haters! Thumbs up all the way!
Thank you, very well explained, I've been looking for this type of explanation for days now. Now I understand what it is I'm looking for.
Phenomenal Videos, put it in such easy to understand laymens term. Thanks
wow, that's the absolute best video I've ever seen of explaining the charging/ignition/starting systems. I'd really appreciate a video showing how to replace a stator and R/R on a Suzuki Boulevard C90. I've been told that these bikes from 2005-2007 are notorious for stators burning out. I had one burn out on me while out riding and had to pay a fortune to get it replaced but I'd really like to know how to do it myself. thanks so much.

You have a great understanding of single winding and 'Y' windings in an alternator and how they all work together. your explanation will help me to teach the automotive Merit BAdge to young scouts in an easy-to-follow and understand method. Thank you so much!
Brilliant! I always assumed it was just some kind of magic happening... Thanks for the thorough explanation! I'm stoked that I'll now know what all those wires do next time I'm wrenching.

This video was exactly what I needed and you are explaining it to the exact level that I needed it. THank you so much, I've never got as much good quality information from YouTueb before....and I live on KZread to learn. Thanks again!
Wow. What a great presentation and educational system. First problem with my UTV side by siide. Now know what problem is and what to replace. Now need to figure out how to get stator out. Thanks. Wonderful job.
Thanks for an excellent video that gave a great overview of what has far too long been a gray area in my understanding of the ignition and charging systems for small engines. I look forward to a possible future video that may show common problems that may happen to these components. Thanks again!

I bought a stator last year from RM thinking it was the issue. After reviewing your video I proceeded to test & found the connector for battery feed from V.R. to be the culprit. Always handy to have spare parts since the stator is fine in my sled & no need to replace. You are a great teacher, easy to follow with in dept procedures to help some of us understand in general layman terms!! Thanks😎👍

Best explanation I've seen. Down to earth and in layman's terms. I'll probably be looking at more of your videos I see on your website
Thank you for your video. You have provided an answer to literally every question that I’ve had about low horsepower engines. Very clear Li stated and articulated quite nicely. You don’t hesitate when you speak, and you get right to the point. You don’t waste time with unnecessary chatter. I would enjoy watching a video on you discussing a method to upgrade or convert an old bikes ignition system from points to a CDI system. Specifically we have a couple of bombardier products.
thank you very much, It was an excellent course to learn how does work the stator works, thanks for you time and experience.
Great job. Nothing left undone!
Great Educational Video, the stator went bad due to the magnets falling off the flywheel on my Yamaha R1. I have a way better understanding now of how it all ties together. Keep up the great work.
Excellent, very informative video. It explains everything vary clearly!

There are quite a few other videos explaining how a charging system and starter system works on Honda motorcycle and they are all pretty solid and good videos but to be honest man you put it very clearly on paper exactly what's going on in the system and it was very very helpful man thank you very much for this video brother, please keep more coming, if you could do a full electrical system functioning video on a cb450DOHC and a CB750 that would be awesome and I would definitely be watching

this is a really great video. I learned more about charging ignition and starting systems watching this video then all the other videos I have combined. I wish I could press the like button more than once in a video. Thank you very much

You are awesome, wish I knew this info 20 years ago. You make an impossible subject understandable to regular people. That takes patience and skill. My electrician is crazy, gets into measuring capacitors with his meter farads I think, that is where i jump ship. can you show us how to test rectifiers, or does it vary per application. Anyhow thanks for all you do.
Excellent general break down.
Great video and content. I'm making a DIY 12v cdi and DC conversion for my 1960 non battery, Lambretta (6v, AC, points). Trying to stuff the modern circuitry into original regulator, rectifier and coil shells to keep an original appearance. Subbed
