@@Noctisque back when I was still a viktor main a several weeks ago, it was difficult for me to juggle between sidelaning, ganking, and farming early because viktor requires a lit of key decision-making skills to make the most of his time boosting his passive. Right now, I have moved on to other mages since I have concluded that my playstyle doesn't suit Viktor's gameplay

I'm a grandmaster player. Tbh I didn't learn that much from this video since I already applied everything u said here. For me what's harder to understand is laning phase (where to be, how to trade, when to go base, what runes to use in each situation ). Different players may lane differently and have different playstyles with same champ and trough similar situations, for ex lvl 1 against lissandra some pull the wave in a way that benefits their trading against her while others like rank 1 korean viktor use q on lissandra in a safe spot and make 1/2 minions crash their wave in order to push quickly. At some point I wounder if awesome players play differently against same matchups then what should I follow and why? That's what's more confusing (those details).

Honestly, this would be a super long video. As a Viktor main myself at a Master level, all these matchups come from experience. As you said, you cannot really learn much from this video, if anything, it's just basic intro level things if you are looking to pick up Viktor. Anyway, regarding runes, I always liked Summon Aery better in general, even though First Strike has a higher w/r overall. It's so much better in laning phase and gives you a smooth transition to the first evolution and first item. Since Manaflow Band and Transcendence are must-haves on Viktor, it naturally opens up that tree + gives you free choice between even harder lane domination with Scorch (safest option) and GStorm (most fun option). Also, it then gives you access to either Resolve or Domination trees. I quite enjoy Shield Bash with either Overgrowth or Second Wind / Bone Plating ( match-up reliant), or based on team comps, you can choose to go for Taste of Blood and Eyeball Collection (or any rune in that row). Personally, I quite enjoy Eyeball collection. The extra 30AP you get eventually, on top of the extra 24 AP at 20 minutes from GStorm is quite massive. Ever since they made AP items not grant as much AP anymore, I found it pretty mandatory to search for AP from runes, not items. Since Viktor is quite weak from 6 minute until around 20, it would be best to either take the earliest-game runes possible (Scorch, Shield Bash, or Biscuits) to try and get to your items quickly, or instead take runes that will make you a beast after 20 minutes when you generally start becoming a champion again. In terms of items, I always generally prefer Luden's. Even though Liandrys is better as the game goes on, Luden's really helps bridge the gap during that 9-20 minute mark, giving you access to safe waveclear and strong burst with MS that helps you be a bit useful and safe during teamfights since you cannot offer much. Then, I really like Cosmic Drive. It seems super underrated, but based on the above explanation about how items don't grant enough AP, we are looking for AP from runes and instead get AH, MS, MPen and tankiness from items. Of course, itemization changes based on team comps and the state of the game and these are really the things that separate average Viktor players from experienced good ones. I also find Banshee's Veil to be an extremely strong item as a second item. The goal when playing Viktor is generally to try to delay the game to go past 30 minutes. That's the general idea, because that' when Viktor becomes super strong. His cooldowns are low, you have hit 800+ AP by that point (more if you go for those runes, around 900) and you have a beefy setup (3000+ HP with either 150+ Armour or 100+ MR). This doesn't mean that you completely forego the early or mid game, of course you still exist and you can still offer things for the team, but if you can definitely avoid a risky play in order to get a couple more minion wave, then obviously you should avoid it.
