How can we tackle fraud? | Home Affairs Committee

Fraud is the most common crime in England and Wales. There were 3.3 million incidents of fraud in the year ending June 2023. It accounts for over 40% of all offences, yet it’s only receives about 1% of police resources.
To mark International Fraud Awareness Week (12-18 November 2023), Dame Diana Johnson MP, Chair of the Home Affairs Select Committee, and Committee member Simon Fell MP, discuss the Committee’s inquiry into fraud.
