There is really no way to get the coin into a better state without improperly cleaning it and decreasing its value. The details have worn away and are gone for good. If it helps, this specific design of large cent looks to be from the 1820s and I can see the numbers 182 on the coin. This coin is almost certainly a matron Head large cent from the 1820s. Hope this helps!

Looks like it could be 1823 or 1828
