Fear and anxiety are quite hard to deal with. I too have had my fair share of feelings of sorrow and uneasiness about what I’ll be facing tomorrow but one thing has kept me through.
Being a Christian is far different from just simply knowing or acknowledging that there is a deity or that there is a higher being than you. Being a true Christian means that you have this assurance that - who God is presented in the Bible is true and infallible. A deeper sense of knowing Christ has given me so much hope for what I experienced in the past, for what I’m experiencing in the present and for what I’ll be experiencing in the future.
Every time that I reminisce who I am in front of God or what I’ve done and all of my shortcomings to Him, I cannot help but recollect about the grace He has bestowed upon me. I am very unworthy of the gift of salvation that God gave me. Christ’s life, His work, His death and even His resurrection were boldly shown to me by His Word through His different mouthpieces and He has abled me to understand this is truly His greatest blessing. Knowing that Christ has redeemed and delivered me from my sins is beyond any reason to remain rejoicing in Him; yet, His promises does not stop there. He has placed an assurance that He will constantly abide with me, He is Sovereign and has control over everything, He never leaves and He keeps all of His promises. Truly, these have kept through all the times I lack to see the beauty in life. These things have kept me through all the times I fail to remember that the present sufferings of this world does not compare to the glory that will be revealed to us.
May the God of hope remind you today that He abides and walks with you, He watches over you, He is your peace, He is a friend whom you can depend on, He is the Sovereign King and He is the Saviour of your soul.
