Hades 1 was that game that I kept putting off because I didn't believe people saying it was such a good game. I will not be making the same mistake with the sequel.

I guess I'm a bit biased here. I read Mythos, and generally enjoy Greek mythology. I also enjoy rougelikes in general. I loved the writing and voice acting of the first, and got heavily addicted to it. But yeah, it's good not to jump on the hype train sometimes. Hades just ticks a lot of boxes for things I enjoy in a game. I still remember playing Hades 1, my friend and I would take turns trying to get further in the game. It gives you that Godlike feeling that doesn't come around very often. A bit like Risk of Rain 2, once you get into a rhythm, it's hard to stop playing.
