Dollywood is a theme park that is jointly owned by Herschend Family Entertainment and country singer-songwriter Dolly Parton through her entertainment company, Dolly Parton Productions. It is located in the Knoxville metropolitan area in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, near the gateway to The Great Smoky Mountains. Hosting nearly 3 million guests in a typical season from mid-March to the Christmas holidays, Dollywood is the biggest ticketed tourist attraction in Tennessee. It has won many international awards.
In addition to standard amusement park thrill rides, Dollywood features traditional crafts, food, and music of the Smoky Mountain area. The park hosts a number of concerts and musical events each year, including appearances by Dolly Parton and her family as well as other national and local musical acts.
The theme park is the anchor of Parton's 150-acre (61 ha) Dollywood amusement destination, which also includes the 35-acre (14 ha) sister water park Dollywood's Splash Country, the 20-acre (8.1 ha) Dollywood's DreamMore Resort and Spa, and the 5-acre (2.0 ha) Dolly Parton's Stampede Dinner.

I love the Wild Eagle verse, too! I was delighted to see that. I told Joy, you won't see that at Disney. That was a mean banjo! Love it! The entertainment is topnotch at Dollywood. Not just shows, but the strolling musicians are so fun to turn the corner and stumble across. And, of course, Miss Lillian!

Happy New Year. This is the time to go to Dollywood. No crowds and no miserable heat. You can always bundle up but you can't take off too much when it is hot.😂 You should have rode Big Bear with Hannah. She's your security blanket. 😂 Come on, you can do it.😂 Thanks for sharing.God Bless ❤

0 wait, a beautiful thing☺️!!! I’ll take the cold & light crowd vs the hot & big crowd every time!! On our last night there in early November I got to ride the Wild Eagle, in front row & back row, both within minutes of one another. Fun to watch you all☺️.

That would be a wonderful time to be at Dollywood. You get the beauty of the lights and being able to ride the coasters without having to wait in a long line. I would love that. Looks like a great time to be there because the crowds have all gone. Thanks for sharing this Dollywood adventure and for showing us how it is at Dollywood after New Year's. I can't believe that the season is all over already. It just seems like it just started a few days ago.
I wondered why you have not went to Ober Mountain. It is just beautiful with the snow ! I understand if you don’t ski but just filming everybody having a good time would be great! Thanks

I actually love skiing/snow boarding. It's been on our to-do list, but have been traveling, holidays & have not wanted to go at the end of the year because it is crazy busy! Hopefully we will get up there soon!

I can't imagine being at Dollywood in such cold weather. I would do it even if it is cold. I always like to experience firs time things. I've been to Six Flags Over Georgia many years ago for their Holiday In The Park during the cold times before Christmas. I know yall's cold up there is most likely colder than the Atlanta area. Stay warm yall.

We just missed you! We were there the same day and loved it! Kids got to ride all the rides several times, but boy, did we freeze. Even with several layers on, it was cold 🥶. But we drank our weight in hot chocolate in our diamond tumbler. 😁 Overall, it was a great experience with low crowds despite the cold.

Looked like a great day to be on park. All the walking warms me up so I don't worry about the cold. I end up carrying my jacket 😂 I do like the gloves on though. I'm so excited for the new Dolly Parton experience. But sad Dollys Closet will no longer be there. I've ask several employees out there and they all say there will not be one. If anyone has any information on maybe a special " Dollys Closet " type shop to be added into that area please share info if your allowed. Thank you so much for your wonderful KZreads. You have a lovely family and such well mannered children. I always enjoy the information you share. So asking ? Any news on the Sevierville Target store ?

I believe on the diamond tumbler cup’s it’s a hit or miss on them so far on mine it hasn’t leaked. I used mine the entire trip on different drinks the one me and my family loved was the Piña colada. But we found out it froze solid.

The diamond cups are nicer, but I don't see them as functional as the other style. We primarily use them at Splash Country in the summer which the kids are excited to get ICE's now. We typically just leave them by our seats and don't carry them around all day so it should be a big deal.
I think Dollywood Park closed on January. 🤔

Not a fan of the new cups. They leak when tipped and are difficult to open (for us at least). I do like the free coffee and hot chocolate though!

I found they leaked all over my bag yesterday as well. I think I may keep the cups on us, but use something different. Our kids are really excited to be able to get ICE refills this summer at splash country!

I've only used mine 1 evening so far. I'm not going to be a fan come spring and summer. Much to small for cold drinks. I'm not a big fan of hot drinks. Yeah for frozen drinks, but this size will only give you tiny cool down. I hope DW will come up with a soda size cup for diamond holders.
