There were so many other great mentors like Big Nate (Taehyung’s best bud), teacher Iris, Warren G, the guy that taught Jin and Hobi how to beat box, and a few more, not just Tony. I know that Tony is everyones favorite, but overall they had some pretty good mentors.

I can't bear to watch American Hustle. I can't even finish it. :'(

This story is obviously from a while back, but I have to say, this story is such a sad tale, long after the event. Perhaps Jin is long over this, but it still delivers a huge punch to those who listen to this for the first time. Suga, thank you for your seemingly limitless capacity to care for your friends. You carry the mark of a true leader, demonstrate a deep understanding of what it means to be a man, and are a champion for those who hurt needlessly. The stuff of heros.

I never watched the full things but it makes me so sad every time I see clips. It's good to know we don't all act like that but that honestly is the reality of how people treat eachother here and it sucks. We have gotten used to it so we don't really notice when it happens to us. But when it happens to them you better bet we notice. I am so done with the way they always get treated it makes me so mad. But on the bright side we did get "annyoghasayo" and "3 dollar" from that.

Im from America also & I think they are amazing young men. They are so intelligent & talented & care about one another & their ARMY fans. They have worked hard to get where they are. I'm glad I didnt see that episode. I would have been furious. I'm sure any of us would have done something if we had been there. People can be so mean. Imagine! They speak at least 2 languages, they all have talents of their own, write their own songs & music & so much more. It is too bad they got stuck with that idiot of a mentor. I have never watched that American Hussle entirely. I saw a clip on how BTS were being yelled at & told to take off a shoe & look at the T.V. It bothered me so much to see them treated so horribly. I never got to this clip & I wanted to punch that Dante dude. He's rude, childish & definitely not a mentor. I'm just happy that BTS don't have to cross paths with those jerks again. At least I hope not.

You should definitely watch the show, there are way more good parts than negative. Also if you do, please watch with an open mind, you have to remember that this was a huge culture clash so it was different personalities meeting which made it seem a bit rocky sometimes, but it was genuinely all love, ya know?

The mentors that I liked on American Hustle life are Tony, Teacher Iris, Big Nate, the lady that did the dance section with them, the guy that taught jhope and jin to beatbox, the guy that taught RM and Jimin how to b-boy dance, Warren G, and ...Coolio. Here’s why Coolio...Even though he was a bit rough around the edges, he was just messing around with them, that’s just his personality. You can tell he genuinely had fun with the guys and respected them. He came in as a mentor to teach them and to put them in the mindset of taking this music thing seriously because as he said himself ‘Hip Hop is his life’, music brought him out of struggle so he was very sensitive to the sense of caring for and making sure they understood the history behind it. Throughout his whole mentoring segment, you can tell the boys enjoyed learning the facts that Coolio displayed for the bts to get accustomed too so that they can understand what Hip Hop really is (literally the whole point of the show). There were a few times you can tell he was trying not to laugh. His relationship with taehyung is like tough love type of relationship, it was more of a “I’m going to act like I don’t like you, but I’m really just playing around”. Even around the end of his segment, he greeted Taehyung and the boys and told them that he was proud of them. I really don’t like how most/ all of the people who’ve watched the show only remember the negative parts, especially when there was so many heartwarming, lesson learning, joyful moments. No matter what other people think, I truly believe that the boys loved being in L.A. and filming the show.

Suga is that "quiet one" that you need to look out for - hee hee! I've seen other public situations too where someone is disrespecting them, where RM is usually trying to handle the situation, but then Yoongi will pick up a microphone without a word, and RM immediately puts his down - haha - Suga's got this. Then he quietly proceeds to put them in their place then puts the mic back down - or drop it, as it were - hee hee! I know he was not used to being shown affection when he was growing up, so I'm so happy that he landed in this amazing band of brothers. I can't imagine them not being friends for life. I heard V saying he wanted their children to play together, and that it gives him anxiety when a member is missing - like not having his cell phone - ha! And the time that JK badly exhausted himself onstage and collapsed nearly unconscious backstage, making all of the members so worried about him. Suga admitted he was so worried that he went into the bathroom and cried so the cameras couldn't see him. That's not a co-worker - that is true family.

Can't help but to fall in love with such a person, he is also the hot savage bad boy type every girl wants, because deep inside he loves and cares so much.

How touching the way they respect Suga the way he is. He is a superstar on his own.

Suga only spits fire for injustice, that is his personality. Other than that, he only has warmth and compassionate soul. He rather acted out than only talking, it's proven by how much he gave to others even in hard times. Army must remember the time when Suga write memos attached on snacks for Army who came to the fansign in the early debute "only" to say thank you. That is how thoughtful he is. I was always amazed by Jin’s character, he acts like youngest in the group but when situations arise he poses the most humbling and respectul person. Until now he never cease to amaze me.

Bts went thru a lot. Bighit had put up those rude mentors because they were not that huge that time. All of these paid off. Look at them now. I am curious what would dante feel watching these kids on the Grammys.

It was definitely difficult to watch. I viewed it as a type of mini boot camp Bang PD put them through. They hated it, was happy to leave. I am new to learning about BTS but I could tell that Mr. Suga was quiet, caring and someone who is insightful. His calm and quiet nature will always give me a sense of ease and serenity. I hope Suga is OK himself and I hope he knows people absolute love him.

Jin is the most beautiful soul I've ever seen, he's caring towards others, has angelic voice, the fact that Jin is sad just makes me sad as well, Jin is like a rare angel sent to Earth, he shouldn't get this kind of treatment. I'm glad that show ended because some of their mentors were rude to them, Yoongi did a great job standing up for Jin!

i have a feel jimin and suga are the members that are confusing. since jimin is so cute on the outside but... He’s so scary when he’s mad!!! suga looks scarier on the outside buts extremely caring on the inside but jimin is extremely caring as well!

Suga always is caring for the members safety even though he is cold-hearted person we all love him

Suga is caring he may seem bad and board but he is really good he is like a kitten 🐈🐾 he is over caring and gentle he is like a cat that is ready to rock

I understand now why people sometimes refer to Suga as grandpa. He's slow to anger. Just don't mess with his family! He enjoys watching the others have fun. And he allows them to do what they want with him. He's full of wisdom, knowledge, understanding and he's very caring. Suga is wise beyond his years. 😍

My oldest brother was like Suga, Quiet and laidback until his family is provoked, then its war. It took a lot to anger him, but once you poke the stick at the bear, Lord help you. Thanks Suga for looking after your family and thanks to my brother for protecting me and our family.

I read recently about Suga's adolescence & was very, very difficult. His parents' didn't support his decision to try to become a rapper so he left home. He went through so much and, during that time, he was on his own with no family affection. He cares very much. He's just isn't "huggy" etc.

I’ve never seen suga As being a cool person. He seems so kind and sweet. I think of all of BTS members is very caring and compassionate people

I love the way Suga takes care of his band mates .I also don’t think it’s odd or anything else to not show your emotions on your face because my dad was like that and he was a very caring person. Suga you remind me of my dad so keep it up you are a good person and friend to your friends!!!!!!! Dante should be embarrassed. Literally only like the tony.The fact Dante would use them in public for attention and kept trying to force them to do stuff they didn’t want to do. Like they dance and perform 24/7.The moment they don’t need to dance they shouldn’t be forced to.They could’ve done better with casting.I would’ve put hands on Dante for doing that.

Dante was a fool. He thinks BTS are young dumb and weak but I'm pretty sure they graduate from high school knowing quite a bit of self-defense martial arts they're Asians they start learning moves as toddlers. But we know BTS are gentlemen.

Sugar is the backbone of BTS. He has such a genuine heart and is a faithful person. He loves all the members and army but he keeps his feelings close to his heart, but won’t hesitate to display his thoughts or feelings when he can tell someone needs love. And suga is brilliant at creating music 💜

He thought o them as if they are 'Kids'. Now they are coming to the Grammys to take every award out there.

There was a clip where there was a big crowd and the manager pushed Suga to the side so that Jimin could pass through but Jimin being the angel he is pulled Suga back in place.

we love suga forever i always pray that bts will stay together forever no matter what and im not worried about that because im sure 100 percent they will stay and love eachother forever even if they stopped doing music

as a black lady myself i am mortified at this because we black people should know exactly how it feels to be mistreated and having hurtful things being said to us. I hate this thing of people feeling they are superior just because they have a bit of knowledge about something, he literally abused his position. i hope BTS members heal from this.

Me i am black but even if i wasn't everyone in this world should understand of being mistreated and should not do bad things to others. Damn when I saw this I legit showed my friend and she said he was racist. My friends mom's grandmother is white (as well as my mom she also has a light skin tone and her grandmother was also white) and my friend is a very light skin tone so sometimes black people would call her white b word and sometimes she feels ashamed of her light skin tone. When I showed her this she cussed the black guy out for being so rough and rude.

Back in 2014, on SUGA's bday (his first bday after debut) instead of throwing a party for himself, he chose to meet up with the fans and he PERSONALLY prepared snacks for each fan and wrote HANDWRITTEN messages to them to show how grateful he is to them. Back then, I was already an international ARMY and was still getting to know the boys' attitudes despite being a fan of their music. They had so few fans back then like way less than 100 Korean fans would show up to physically support them in events ya know! SUGA spent long nights writing those personal messages and making sure the snacks are prepared well, all the cost came from his own pocket. I remember seeing this on ARMY Rookie King and I remember this is the moment I TRULY STANNED SUGA as a person not just as a musician - He is a kind and sincere dude who doesn't take shit he doesn't deserve from any one.
