Ita not indian accent. Only keral and tamil people have this accent. Because these 2 states were going to foreign countries from British ruling time. Take any tamil or malyali guy they speak and some know fluent English but their accent is different because of their mother tongue. whereas andhra Telangana speaks good English and accent is normal like foreigners. Also north region accent is different. But tamil and malyali works in foreign countries as chefs and waiters etc. Because of them foreigners think that every indian speaks same. I cant speak fluent English or text good. But my accent is good. It doesn't sound like that.

One word word explains it. Colonisation. The irony of it all. We as South Africans dnt realise this but our English sounds very much British. Like Trevor said the coloniser take everything & on top of that wants u to be like them.

Us South African Indians lost the wobble in the last 50 odd years but, it's still mimicked and Trevor was introduced to it via his Indian friends here in SA. Though, we've had Indians coming in in th last 20 years to do business in SA so, there are a few wobblers now

One thing I want to clarify ,that Indians don't pray to 100s of god's ,we pray to one divine power so it doesn't matter what specific god you worship ,and we definitely don't say god's while praying we know every single god are one and the same divine power

There were basically Two India within British India. The British Indian dominion where they directly ruled, and the Princely States and Kingdoms that paid tax to them and retained autonomy, paid money to get military and other assistance from them at times. Those kingdoms that were unable to pay tax had to dissolve into the dominion. For example, Northern Kerala, the Malabar region was British territory, while the middle and south, Kochi and Travancore were Princely States. Major sufferings were to the people within the dominion. One interesting fact is that unlike people in many countries all over the world including those in Europe, Asia, Africa, America all got converted into Christianity or Islam, only 14% are Muslims and 2% are Christians in India after almost 1000 years of Foreign invasions and rule. That also points to the inherent strength of this land's religions and beliefs. Foot Note: Today's local Malayalam Newspaper featured the story of how the State of Travancore, in 1897, fought and succeeded against the then world pandemic, Plague, by imposing strict measures, while there were agitations in India against the indifference and lack of interest from the British to contain the epidemic in India.

Great name for a great land. The name "Mahabharata" for the epic came into use in the last two centuries. Original name given by Sage Vyaasa was "Jaya". The epic tells the story of the dynasty that originated from King Bharata, the son of Sakuntala and Dushyanta, thus the name Mahabhaaratam.

In India, not only the races have continued to live but keeping their faith intact. So, that does say a lot about its strength. Even there is a huge controversy about "Alexander the great" (who died on his way back from India) of whether he at all won the war against Puru or it was a made up story else why would a conqueror as great as he thought himself to be, suddenly start respecting those he just defeated.

I think what you are referring to is neocolonialism. Post cold war and with the fall of USSR, USA was the only dominating global power and it used its soft power as well as Military might to influence other Nations. But with the rise of other local powers and China the world actually stopped being unipolar and is now quite multipolar!
