I cried like a baby. South Jersey girl, major Bruce fan, sang along loud and proud. Greetings From Asbury Park, N.J. is my #1 favorite Springsteen album. I love the way the lyrics and the British/Pakistani life experience expanded the real-world appeal of thoughtful poetry and infectious music.

My dad and I saw it in the theater a little over a year ago. He cried so hard in the theater, reminiscing about how he grew up and listened to Bruce Springsteen. It was touching knowing how Bruce's music touched people's lives like my dad and the director of this movie.

I am from Luton and I lived exactly how this guy did. I was there when all this stuff was going on. This film is shockingly accurate. I tried to explain to my friends in london about the Luton garages and how we socialised around them and thats where the magic happened with fixing your cars there and mixing a bit with the neighbour's or a fight with the nf boys if you crossed paths. The characters are very much the same as they were when I lived there. I also had that one white friend that stuck up for me and the older white nieghbour who was respectful from a distance and offered support against racism. The fact the film recognised the NF and their massive presence there. I try to tell people in london that in Luton we only fought with NF. Here in london they fight over postcodes and areas or mug you. There should be a 2nd part to this. Maybe following my journey as it was much like this but with more real life tragedy. My father also lost job at Vauxhall and a lot more happened like we went in our first family holiday to Pakistan and our plane got hijacked by terrorists. We became quite known for this story in Luton. I can't believe how accurate this film is with Luton life of the 80s. I always thought it was an important story and lifestyle there that needed to be told. This film really touched me especially as I am from the same part and of that same life. I am more shocked and impressed then anyone else for this. Thank you

BobbyDeniroX BobbyDeniroX Your words underline the greatness and universality of the story, just like Bruce does with his amazingly perceptive lyrics. My favorite of his songs is It’s Hard To Be A Saint In The City (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/It%27s_Hard_to_Be_a_Saint_in_the_City), but the film included all of my favorite songs! ”Mama always told me not to look into the sights of the sun. Woah but mama, that’s where the fun is!” (Blinded By The Light)

A very pensive movie indeed ! The work of all the actors, writers and the whole team is quite commendable ! In a nutshell, it was more of a reflection of a poet's feelings and how he strives to change the tyranny of the society into a fine altruism ! Music is poetry itself ! OMG..BRUCE ! Just loved the whole thing !!! ❤
