💙 I've had my Male Yorkie Weecie for 8 1/2 years now. He is a curly hair Yorkie. I was told that Yorkies we're hypo allergenic and they only have 1 coat, which grows long and continuously. Which his does 😂. They don't have and undercoat and because of this they get cold very easily . Again. Which he does 😂 My little guy has his own wardrobe to keep him warm in cold months. Anyone else told this??

The narrator of this video forget to mention that yorkshire terriers, (as well as teacup yorkies), can sometimes be seen with areas of grey in the mix or even silver-ish in colour, especially when older, as this can mean they have lost some of the black pigmentation they previously had, if they ever were black, and as we all know, this inevitable fading even happens in people. But of course, that doesn't mean it is impossible to see a puppy of this breed start off grey.

I’ve gone through 32 litters of AKC champion Yorkshire terriers and have never once seen one born any color other than black and brown. If there are any other colors on your pup then there is a mix somewhere in their breeding background. The majority or yorkies will have their hair turn a silver color as they age but that change can happen at different ages depending on the dog. People are obsessed with Teacup Yorkies only because they want a teeny tiny dog to carry around and show off and all that does is pup that dog at a high risk of health issues and early death. The breeders do it for more money! Those breeders aren’t interested in the breed or being able to provide beautiful dogs to potential buyers who appreciate the characteristics of a yorkie….they are interested in charging $3000+ for a dog that will spend a significant amount of time at the vet for health issues that were perfectly avoidable had they gave a single crap about the puppies. Shame on them!

I would NEVER breed a 3lb yorkie to any dog. You are putting that dogs life at great risk. If you’re crazy enough to try that, make sure you have a vet on 24 hr standby because there is an extremely high risk she will need a c section and be ready to pay over $1500 for that and stand the chance at losing the puppy because mom won’t be able to nurse it. Do your homework and talk to a vet before you put her life in jeopardy

There is no breed that’s recognized as a teacup yorkie! Breed standard is 5-7 lbs. anything smaller has been breed down and the smaller size can carry many traits of the dogs breed to be small, including inherited poor health traits. CHF , hips knees eye problems. Fragile bones et. It’s a shame to breed a very small dog to be smaller, for that very reason. Teacup is a bs breed and an abuse to a wonderful toy breed! Hypoglycemia is a risk and can cause death. They can get hurt very easily by anyone. Yorkies deserve a great life. They are a loyal and trusting companion, that come w great characteristics. Please do t breed them down to get more money, it’s inhumane.

As a previous AKC yorkie breeder, there is no such thing as a Teacup Yorkie. Breeders looking for more money have tried to breed down the size to obtain more money. You are only buying a dog with probable health issues. Buy your puppy from a REPUTABLE BREEDER with AKC ONLY credentials. If someone is advertising Teacup Yorkie, BUYER BEWARE, this is not a good breeder.

@@4Ever_J.and.K my one girl ended up being only 4.5 lbs but the average weight is around 7lbs. Her mom was about 12 lbs and her dad was 4 lbs. That is how a great breeder will do it. Mom should be a good size so the pups are healthy and she can have them without complications or a c section. Dads are always smaller so the pups will be a standard AKC weight. My little one passed away last year but she was 20 yrs old! I’d rather have a healthy dog for 20 years than a tiny dog who I paid $3000 for because someone advertised it as a teacup and end up with serious health issues. I hate seeing the ads for “teacup” it’s such a load of hogwash. If you’re looking, go to your states AKC breeder list. My last girl I got out of Oregon and she’s wonderful, AKC champion line, ended up around 6.5 lbs and she was $1500. A good breeder will tell you exactly the same thing I’ve said but buyer beware on the “teacup” scam.

Dr sd that she may get 4 pounds and he would be surprised if she touched close to 5 ponds and that’s on a good day .. her parents aren’t more than a few pounds literally ..from what I was told .. it’s a little strange for me because I’m use to my two big ones .. and the experience is different.. you have to be really careful with these little ones . And she is spoiled rotten.. she walks around my office with my staff like she owns it 😂😂 she is a YORKIDOODLE teacup poodle with teacup YORKIE and she has the poodle curly hair and the YORKIE build and ears .. and she is so tiny and I keep NUTRICAL everywhere .. If a breeder is advertising “teacup yorkies” or any other “teacup” breed, report them as the ONLY way to achieve this small size is through early weening and under feeding. Such poor creatures will have a lifetime of health problems and likely an early demise. Yorkshire Terriers are a toy breed - 4 to 8 pounds is the range of size for purebred Yorkies. Surely that’s small enough..:
