I bought a bamboo steamer from a shop in my local Chinatown over 20 years ago. I recently drove by the shop for the first time in 20 years last year, and the whole plaza is abandoned and derelict now. The bamboo steamer I bought there is still being used to this day and has outlived the shop that sold it.
