I'm a big Javale fan, but the guy really put together a great career for himself. Just having a 16 year career means he is a great NBA player. In his prime he was in demand by teams looking to make playoff pushes. He knows how to play his role, knows how to play winning basketball, and can turn it up, especially on the defensive end. Yeah he is prone to bumble around but I appreciate the time we've got to see him in the NBA.

When he was on the Warriors for those couple of seasons, he was so much fun. It was awesome seeing us have that lob/roll threat athletic big for a time, and was so good seeing him get that redemption. Was a real bummer losing him.

Happy to see people giving him credit after all these years he has been the butt of jokes. He admitedly looked lost on many plays especially the first years...but to come back from that and all the abuse he was put through is absolutely remarkable. Did what he had to do to stay relevant and didn't give up and was embraced by many contending teams the tail end of his career, deservedly so.

I would have never known Javale had it not been for NBA2k. I took a great liking to Javale as a bench player, and when I played as an owner, I made sure to recruit him or pick the team he was currently playing on at the time. To me, Javale reminded me of a very tall Cuba Gooding Jr. Both fellows looked like they could be almost twins, both have very unique names, and I am a fan of both gentlemen! I don't care how good Javale plays, how bad, I just like the guy. You cannot hate a guy that could be the twin to Cuba Gooding Jr.!

The one thing that gets lost is that when Javale McGee was playing in Denver and GS, the crew always acknowledged that he was playing well, but the lowlights are lowlights. I really wish Javale never took it so personally. Then again, I have no idea what kinda BS he might have dealt with because of the constant Shaqtin appearances. It must also be frustrating to have your lowest moments thrown on TV constantly for the world to see. I think the only time it truly got out of hand was when Shaq did the Dr. Strange skit with the Javale clips. That led to the Twitter war between the two.

He was too good in some sense. No other big would try to dunk from the freethrow line but him because he could. He could do so many things many not expected from a big guy like him but not well like he had the dribbilng skills to go coast to coast but would often fumble. He would have been a better player if he was less talented like D. Jordan.

Shaqting a fool helped him with exposure. If it wasnt for Shaqtin I dont think people would have wasted much time on him. After shaqtin everyone actually took a very good look at him and the conclusion was that he was actualy a really solid player who could help. Shaqtin actualy sparked a debate about him and realization that even though he made some stupid mistakes - he was worthy enough to play in a championship team.
