The GTX 750 Ti is Maxwell GPU, and that architecture still gets Game Ready Drivers. You were probably thinking of the Kepler Architecture which indeed, doesn't get driver support anymore.

Great video! I bought the same Elitedesk on ebay back in September but mine has a I5-4590 and an RX 550, not the exact same but pretty close specs to the ones in the vid. Computer is a good start into e sports and emulators. I spent $100 on the computer and $50 for the 550 and so far, it's been a great first gaming pc until I build one later this year.

just get a Xbox Series S. At that point. Get the Game Pass Box. And Game on... Do not waste your hard earned money on this PC.

It barely even works unless all you have open and are using is the game, and it's game-dependent. At least if you wanna have a 4 core cpu (hyperthreading or not) it has to be a modern quad-core, not a 4th gen i5 or i7. Modern chips have way better IPC and can reach higher clocks, they're viable for low budget systems. These old throwaway office PCs converted gaming with a crappy GPU which is about as powerful as a modern AMD APU is not worth it because of said APUs. You can have something way newer and more upgradeable for the same price.

You guys must work super hard. The uploads are always consistent and the highest quality.

Just set one of these up with a 2nd gen i7 and 1060, runs fortnite well. Had to get over some very odd bios settings.

I got some fond memories of that gpu and AC Black Flag. It was a good gpu once upon a time, a very long time but still.

Just sold an Optiplex with an i5 6600, 1660 Super with a monitor, keyboard and mouse for $280. It even had a touch of RGB and I didn't use any off brand components. Guess I need to start selling my PC's on Amazon instead of locally. I could undercut these garbage systems and still make more money than I do now selling them locally. Fact Check: The 750 Ti still has driver support since it's using Maxwell architecture rather than Kepler. And the 580 still has driver support as well. AMD merely has broken Polaris off from the main branch, but it still receives driver updates... just less frequently than RDNA. Also, there are systems on Skylake that only support DDR3, like the Optiplex 3040 and 5040, so you could have a 6th Gen CPU with DDR3.

on ebay right now in the UK that spec of HP desktop is £37.00 and a 750ti is £32.50 including delivery. That comes out to $88. Throw in $12 for the crappy keyboard and mouse and that's a $100 PC.

I have a PC that looks exactly like this one but the specs are different. It has an i7 4770k, 16GB RAM, I upgraded it with an SSD when I got it (came with a 1TB hard drive) and I also got a ZOTAC 2GB GEFGORCE GT 730 low-profile card for it. Anyone have any tips/tricks for running games on it? I have a lot of free Epic Store games I've claimed over the years but haven't played much on it. I believe this card doesn't have driver support anymore.

I ask because when I first got it a few years ago I tried Fortnite on it briefly but it would only run at like 15 to 25 FPS on it and I think it's crazy that the PC in this video could run it so much better. Maybe I didn't try enough? Or maybe I just don't know what I'm doing (very possible). I bet my PC could run a good percentage of the games in my Epic Store library, but I have so many games and I haven't tried almost all of them (I mainly play on PS4).

Try to get better GPU ( RX 580 2048 SP with cable adapter, or 1050 Ti, 1650 ...) . With present GPU you could perhaps play PS3 ports, i.e. games released up to 2012 - 2013. If bigger cards could not fir in your case, simply remove side panel or cut trough it.

the only thing you need to do is get a better graphics card. The cpu, RAM and SSD are sufficient for light gaming and will even do surprisingly OK in modern games if you keep the setting fairly low. Look for ones that don't require a pci-e power connector as your power supply won't have one. a second hand gtx1050 or 1050ti is probably the cheapest you can get. The GT730 is for office pcs that need to run 2 displays, it was never a gaming card.

Well, your CPU should support up to PCIe 3.0, but some MB for it have only PCIe 2.0 . Considering that RX 6400 has only 4 PCIe lanes, there could be stutters, especially if you try to play at medium or higher settings and have low RAM.

@@TtoxicPKK Try to let one game pass, in order to load textures. Use performance mode and lock FPS. If it does not help, use Riva tuner to see your CPU and GPU utilization during game.

I have a question windows 11 hp envy x360 laptop with a Ryzen 5 processor, (I don’t know what the graphics card is exactly because it is built into processor I think because it doesn’t show under the about your pc) Radeon graphics, 8gb ram and very very little storage so I got an external hard drive ssd and when I load something like Fortnite (for Fortnite I have all the settings low as they can be and it takes awhile to fully load graphics and lags) or Minecraft (for Minecraft only lags in multiplayer mode or severs) do keep in mind all games are running in my external hard drive which is only like half full. But whatever reason I load a game called “Steep” which looks like it needs really high specs to run but it runs with a little lag on my laptop. But I run “Riders Republic” which is a game by the same developer released a few years later and I lags so much after I click play I can barely even move my character. I bought it new and I don’t know what’s going on I don’t know what the graphics card is exactly, all I can figure out is that it is Radeon Graphics because there is an official sticker on the the laptop that says that. Can someone please help?

Check what CPU exactly you have, so you would know what iGPU is in it. As for games, it is easily explained. Steep was released in relatively early years of PS4 (2016) when that console was top of the line. Riders Republic came in 2021 and it was primarily aimed at PS5. Your iGPU is probably capable of running PS4 ports with low settings , but with PS5 ports - don't bother. Limit yourself to games released up to 2019, maybe 2020, and not demanding e-sports titles.

upgrade the ram to 16gb, that's your current bottleneck right now

The 750 ti is maxwell so technically it's still supported unlike its other 700 series counterparts

I bought an HP with an i5 4590 at my local university's surplus store for $50. It had 16 GB of ram but no graphics card or storage drive, so $250 for that whole PC is not worth it.

Especially if you live near a university, because most university's have a surplus store. You just have to watch the schedule for when they put the systems on sale.
