Jürgen made E 20+ million per year at Liverpool, Berthalder's contract was around $2 million per year, and besides the economic aspect, why he would turn down managing a world top class team for the USMNT? because, I assure you that there's a line of top tier clubs and national teams knocking at his door.

    Klopp has been at Liverpool for 9 years. He is 57 and has made a lot of money. A German friend claimed he was done with management. He was complaining of burnout. Will he be motivated to start a new project? He will also want to bring his team with him. You don't just hire Klopp.

    Add: Korea, Iran, Ivory Coast, Norway, Türkiye, Ecuador, Australia, Algeria, Nigeria, Poland, to that list aswel. Even countries like: Ghana, Mali, Georgia, Canada, Cameroon, Egypt, Slovenia, Czech Republic arguably have better player pools to pick from. The US talent pool is imo comparable to a country like Scotland/Ireland. Somewhere between 35-45 in the world. There’s some nice potential, but let be honest outside of Pulicic and Reyna on a good day, this team is lacking any form of flair or technical prowess. I like Tillman, Adams or Musah as an up and coming talent, but they are mostly just squad players at their clubs, that are mainly used to support the guys that can actually play.

    As a Liverpool fan, Klopp ain't coming. He said he may never manage again, and he's certainly taking some time off. so with him saying that, it means one of two things. Either he really doesn't want to manage, or he's saying he doesn't in order to make someone come in with a gigantic offer. both of these situations rule out the US.

    let's see the forest for the trees, the major problem is the clown show that is US soccer. USSF cannot claim the success of USWNT, we have Title IX to thank for that. nepotism and NO ACCOUNTABILITY. we have all been calling USSF out, but they do NOT CARE. that is the central theme from top to bottom. THE ONLY WAY TO HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE IS TO BOYCOTT.

    Klopp already said he is taking a year off. IF this happens, it wouldn’t be until 2025. Which gives him 1 year to prepare for the World Cup. Klopp implements a an identity that takes time. Cant sack him if it goes south after 1 year

    All the names u listed and u didn’t even mention Concecaio or David Moyes. Moyes has said it the past he would seriously consider usmnt job if approached. Klopp tuchel and poch wouldn’t come, but I do think the lower tier (but still very good) managers would be interested. Coaching America, especially when they’re hosting the wc is definitely an attracting job even if we’re in shambles rn

    I think the only way to "sell" the job to Klopp, is to basically tell him " you can be here for two years, you get to experience a world cup in USA and all that." In other words, you might be able to sell it as a short term stop gap. However, how beneficial is that for the USMNT? Unless they go deep in the competition, I don't see much worth in having Klopp just for two years and being used as a temporary thing.

    We are one of the richest countries in the world and the best we can get is Steve Cherundolo. Loved Steve as a player and in MLS as a manager but they should go high profile. It's time to level up. Unless US Soccer is afraid of being called out by an experienced manager. I can't imagine someone like Jurgen Klopp would take direction from Don Garber.

    You must understand that for top managers it could be el salvador throwing 50million at them and they still would not take the job, why? Prestige, USA doesnt have any bc theyve yet to win anything at all outside of concacaf and these type of managers wont take on a team that doesnt have a shot at an intl throphy

They all took weren't afraid to get "Tainted" by taking jobs in China or the Middle East. Maybe Klopp won't take it, but guaranteed they can hire a great coach and if they let him work, he can change US soccer.

    If Klopp quitted Liverpool because he ran out of energy in a top club in England, he will run out of energy in two weeks in America. USMNT is not a strong team at all. There is absolutely no way a good coach alone can change American soccer.

    I am not optimistic that Klopp would want to coach the US, but coaching the US team would be far less draining than any team in the premier league. It wouldn’t necessarily be an easy job, but do you have any idea how much pressure there is when coaching in Europe?

    The arrogance of those who sell this idea that top world coaches could be interested in coaching the USA is infinite. From Europe, they see MLS football/soccer and the USA national team in the same way as the NBA sees the Euroleague basketball teams. Coaching a team like the USA is the same as coaching Jamaica but with money. By the way, any midium level team in Europe pays much more than the USA federation.

    Why not Jurgen Klinsman again? In 2014, the players were more MLS based and he always said U.S. players needed to go overseas. Now, they’re mostly Europe based. Wonder if he’d do better with 2022 WC team than in 2014.

    Only attraction for Klopp that I can see would be as a semi-retirement job w/ the benefit of living in the US. The pay won't be great, but being in the US has its benefits- could be more $ making opportunities. I would LOVE to see Klopp in the position, although I wouldn't wish the unenviable work of dealing w/ the USSF on him. USSF is an incompetent heap of garbage, lacks the ambition & wherewithal to get someone decent & fix itself.
