Darling Barbara, thank you for sharing your art and your thoughts and emotions! I'm in Brazil where for a number of years we have had a government and an economic elite who have encouraged the devastation of our flora and fauna, and horribly - our original people's! The pain and implications for our planet are real. The good news is that we have changed some of our government and have great hopes we can, stop most of the destruction! Our world must really reassess our values and commit to the support and encouragement of life and well-being for all, collaboration and mutual support can make that happen. On the art side, yes...to the extent it opens our hearts it exposes our emotions to ourselves and to others when we choose to! I love the whimsical side of both yours and Luise's personalities as reflected on this page and others- it irradiates light, warmth and fun too! Thank you for bringing Jimmy and Charley into my life today!

Many of us must share your grief for the loss of natural areas. A similar thing is happening where I live. In our county all the farmland is being sold to build houses, and we have to import all our food. May Barbara's beautiful country stay beautiful for always. 🙂

Thank you,dear Barbara, for this lovely and emotional video. I’ve been following you since the very early days of your channel. I was drawn to you because of your sweet and sensitive heart and, of course, because I never fail to learn about junk journaling and creating from you. My country is a perfect example of capitalism run amuck! It is driven by greed. I firmly believe that greed is what will eventually ruin our planet and its life forms. We can hope that the people will do everything possible to stop the greed and save our planet. (Sorry to sound so depressing!) Thank you from the bottom of my heart for dephemerember! I just heard a radio story this week about it and I'm encouraged by your new government! I hope it works out. Our whole planet needs these jungles to help it breathe.

Beautiful story and art. I cried with you darling. I am sure all junk journalers all crave our natural habitat like Charlie and Jimmy. I am pretty sure the fairy forest, Atlantis and the clouds are the natural habitat of all junk journalers. To be sure, mermaids, butterflies and mushrooms are there too. You and Luise are so dear to me. Thank you.

Wow, I didn’t expect to get emotional, but you are right. These beautiful, precious animals have no say in the matter what humans are doing to Mother Nature. I live in a small town was surrounded by gorgeous woods everywhere and tons of beautiful farmlands. Woods are mostly gone, and in the last several years farmland is being sold and tons of ugly gigantic factories are being build all around and almost in our little town. Was mostly a quiet town but when finished building, we will be congested with traffic. Your project is gorgeous and loved the story that went with your project. You and Louise are amazing talented artists.

Oh Barbara, I agree with you that this is by far the best layout. I couldn’t help tearing up with you. It’s not only the city that destroys natures homes, I live in rural Indiana, the farmers have cut down most of the trees and the animals have little space to live in. It’s so sad!

Our town was just pasture land and farms near a beautiful lake 20 years ago, now there is only one small herd of cows next to an interstate highway and huge neighborhoods popping up everywhere. The deer and coyote that used to call the open space home don't do well with all the traffic. It is very 😢sad. I also love Louise and the two of you do make a wonderful pair.💕

Now I'm weeping also. I'm an animal lover and stopped eating these sentient beings over 53 years ago. I was raised around one of the world's best zoos and often visited as a child. Even though many of them had some of the nicer compounds and open spaces for the animals to live in, I always came away feeling very depressed and sad after a visit. One of my most favorite persons in the whole world is Jane Goodall. So this page also touched my heart very much Barbara and I had a wee cry with you. Sweet Barbra, you have a beautiful heart. I live in a small community and often see deer enjoying little snacks in the neighbourhood gardens. They bring me joy. Sadly it is the development of their natural habitat that has caused them to move into our space. I am very happy to say that we have seen a return of eagles in the last couple of years. Dephemerember is a celebration for all of us who love creating journals and it comes from two of the most amazing and wonderful women.
