Don’t forget the heads as well
For decades I wondered why all my legos had a black square printed on the neck. Only today I understand that it is used to allow the machines to distinguish the front from the back of the piece and orient it before inserting the arms. Incredible how much technology and work is hidden behind a small piece of lego.

What I find freaky is the fact that as you say 8000 bodies are made an hour but in the same time that 8000 bodies are made, 23000 heads are made. So basically there are 15000 heads just laying around in the world waiting for a body that's unlikely to be attached. And that's a sentence that's bad to hear out of context 😂

As a plant costing controller myself, I can confirm that not only do you have maintenance labor to incur as expenses but a constant meed for parts replacement and repair, which are often specialized and can easily cost 10-30K for something you would deem insignificant. On a very regular basis might I add. Also, you have preventative maintenance that you would need to consider, especially with such a highly automated production line. But here you are, making idiotic comments without an inch of an idea of how things actually are. Sigh
