I didn't hate Sonic Mega Drive I just hate how it, Worlds Collide and more just came one right after the other till we finally got what was going to be the new continuity and by then I was far from impressed. Don't get me wrong I know why they had to do it all and what happened behind the comic so to speak, just still didn't like it at the end of the day. If I remember right this was the start

If possible, could you make a follow-up video wherein you describe and flesh out how the story would be if the characters were written how they were meant to be?

Good idea. Maybe I could make a short about it as I don't think I need a whole video to explain it. The criticisms that I made in the video are a good indication of what I think is wrong with them and avoiding those mistakes would be key.

*its Good video lol, I remember being crazy about this comic as it was coming out. The memes mostly went over my head back then, but I haven't revisited the series in a long time, and this review helped me re-contextualise its weaknesses I'd originally turned a blind eye to.

18:58 I don’t think you can hold this against the comic, when this along with “Sonic The Hedgehog #291-295” was cancelled and “Sonic Universe #95-98” was cancelled. All of Archie Sonic was cancelled!

Okay, I respect your opinion and all, but I think I'm curious as to how you would've done it, including a conclusion given that this got canned after Archie Sonic died.

I agree with your opinions on the characters but disagree with the memes even though I do agree that Ian tended to overuse memes back then, nowadays I feel he does a better job using them sparingly. It’s overall decent but greatly surpassed by seasons of chaos. Edit but some are your comments on the character are way out of line like what’s wrong with tails teasing sonic it’s not like he’s serious or being mean. or calling tails and Amy useless. And lastly I strongly disagree with you on knuckles who imo is portrayed the worst. He gets tricked by eggman again and other than that just sorta acts like boom knuckles not that bright but strong.

Honestly I think the art looks a bit weird, I think it might be because of the pupils.

Amy was written originally as a damsel in distress. Having Amy save Sonic from Metal Sonic would’ve taken value from Sonic. Your Amy bias is showing severely here. Classic Amy gets a lot of hype lately but truth be told she was an npc only in one game. CD. And she was captured in the second level.

Oh my god! YES 10/10! I've had this opinion for years! I'm happy to hear someone else isn't blind and wont just love anything as long as Sonics attached to it. I hate it when little kids disagree with good points without making any points themselves. AMY is so inconsistent it makes me think Ian Flynn was going threw a midlife crisis or something. and you said it the best "If she didn't exist the Comic would be the same" also now that you mention it Tails is being really annoying in this. Like why is he respecting Amy more then Sonic??? I feel like this is because Ian flynn favors Amy because in IDW she acts completely different and more strong in that aswel.
