The Star Wars Saga was always about Anakin, therefore, I strongly believe that he was the chosen one who eventually brought balance to the force.

I really hope hayden gets another big role as anakin especially since he looks practically the same, hopefully he’ll have a big part in the new obi-wan series and not just as flashbacks can’t imagine anyone else playing anakin, I did hear that he will be a regular in the new Obi-Wan series but I feel like they should give him a spin off of him controlling force

Problem is that Dark Side is not Side. Dark Side is violation of the Force. Like Necromancy in fantasy universes. People don't need half Wizards to be Necromancers, people need dead to be dead.

I like how Plagueis tried creating a new apprentice but ended up screwing himself and his ideals by spawning the chosen one and creating a chain that would ultimately destroy the Sith.

Just to clarify. Did anakin bring balance to the force by killing most of the jedi? He helped create Luke and Darth Sidious didn't really die when anakin threw him in the second death star( according to current cannon). So anakin helped ensure there was 1 jedi and 1 sith?

No one ever mentions it, but Love played a huge factor in Anakin bringing balance. He turned to the dark side for his love of Padmé, he returned to the light because of the love for his son. Love ultimately was the reason why Anakin brought balance back to the force.

It wasn’t love it was Ego If he truly loved Padme he would have respected her wishes and allowed her to live according to her path and not tried to control her fate, and go against the Will of the force. He thought he was special and that he could control even death. This took him out of balance and yes it was restored when he gave his life for his son in sacrifice a selfless act Ironically she wouldn’t have died if he just allowed things to be in their natural state. He allowed fear to overcome him.

I agree. The Jedi were suppose to be monks fueled by their religion. The council made so that they became war generals, following a government that could easily be corrupted. The did not allow the ones among them to live their lives happy as they prohibited marriage. Consume by the power the Force gave them, they had become stray from the idea of what a Jedi must be, a protector of the Force. It was up to Anakin to wipe the slate clean, kill off all the Jedi raised in the council’s ideals and eventually kill the Sith Lord, leaving his son, guided by nothing but the Force, as the sole survivor Force user that uses it with balance

And it is interesting that he survived everything as well and was the only Jedi who was never beaten and in the end died of old age when his work was done. Perhaps the Force spared him because he followed it or wanted him to continue his work.

Anakin killed all Jedi and Sith who used the Force against its own will (Jedis in the prequel because of the Republic and the Emperor because he used it to kill all Jedi and take full power of the galaxy). He didn't kill Yoda because Yoda was still letting the Force guide him. He did bring balance to the Force by purging all of the Force users until Episode 7, because the whole situation was fucked up, and now balance can be found in the new trilogy, with Luke, Snoke, Kylo Ren, Rey, etc.. to be continued then (sorry for bad English I'm French)

YOU SSH Anikin is a parallel version of Anakin. His real name is Inikin.

Since the prequels I had loved the tragic story of Darth Vader, but your take on also wiping out the Jedi gives it a lot more depth and meaning to the chosen one bringing balance to the force.

I do believe that it was the will of the Force to bring down the Jedi. As sad as it was, they were not using the Force as it should have been used. They leaned too far to the Light side and, as you said, were doing what the people deemed as "good". This is why the Je'daii exiled those who were too close to the Light to focus on the Dark, just as they would do for someone who leaned too close to the Dark so that they can re-balance themselves by focusing on the Light. I think this is why Anakin was so emotional and crying when he was on Mustafar. He didn't suddenly become pure evil, but instead unknowingly following the will of the Force to an aggressive extreme. The Force wants to be balanced, even though there's a constant battle between the Light and the Dark. Remember Father, Daughter, and Son? The children being the personifications of the different sides whereas the Father was the one who kept them in a balanced state. He was growing weak and the Son was taking advantage of that, which only, presumably, further weakened the Father. It was sort of similar in the "real world". The unbalance by multiple Jedi (Light side users) and a small handful of Sith or Dark side users was weakening the galaxy's Force to where it had to take drastic measures and nearly wipe out the Jedi. (poor things) When Darth Vader killed Darth Sidious and then died, there was really only Luke.... and then Snoke was lurking around somewhere. But then Luke decided to, again, create a new Jedi Order (of course, I don't think we really knew what methods he was using to teach them. He might have been teaching them differently than the previous Jedi were teaching their younglings) If none of this made sense, then maybe I'm speaking gibberish. Idk I'm bored and felt like giving my opinion, even if it's far-fetched or whatever lol Anyways, yes please make that funny video. I wanna see it ^.^

The new Jedi were definitely being taught differently, since Luke was taught very differently. Yoda, in the prequels, was completely paralyzed because of his obsession with the future and the past, so much so that he chastised Qui Gon Jinn for focusing on the present. In the original trilogy, we see Yoda using Qui Gon's words, word for word (as best as Yoda could quote), when teaching Luke.

Skitti I disagree entirely. You cannot lean too far to the light side. That is ridiculous. If anyone watches the interviews between George Lucas and I forget the name of the interviewer but it's about Joseph Campbell and his book. It is perfectly clear that the dark side is not normal nor is it part of the force nor is it balanced. The dark side is cancer. You are not meant to be partially leaning towards the dark side. That is stupid. No good hero ever in fiction or in real life was partially bad. And if they were they were actively trying to get rid of that side of them. If they did not they failed. There is no such thing as balance being part dark or part evil you are either good or you're not. the wise old Mentor archetype is my favorite archetype in all of fiction. There is no such thing as a bad or even neutral wise old Mentor archetype period they are always very good very pure and very light side leaning. They have conquered all their demons both external and internal and they are there to teach the hero to do the same. The whole grey Jedi bendu thing is completely stupid in my mind.

Brian Fortie you can completely disagree and think it's stupid all you want, but that doesn't change the fact that you're wrong. In STAR WARS, which is what we're actually talking about, leaning towards the light side is just as foolish as leaning towards the dark. The Jedi order is the perfect example of why the light side isn't good either. They became so obsessed with staying in the light that they forbid it's members of emotion, they would steal kids from their homes to prevent them from feeling any sort of love or emotion, indoctrinate them from a young age to not want those things...long story short, the Jedi order was incredibly religious and very fearful of falling to the dark side, and yoda himself said fear is a path to the dark side. If anakin didn't destroy the order, it would have inevitably destroyed itself. The force is JUST the force. No more, no less. It's not dark or light, it just is, therefore, understanding that it just is and operating in its own balance is the only "right" side of the force.

Skitti it's not that Jedi leaned to far into the light it's they strayed from the light didn't continue to learn from the Force they put the will of the Senate above the will of the Force the sith did learn and evolve from what they were, and forget what new cannon is saying it doesn't follow the path that was laid out and craps all over the characters we have to love. If you like more info I recommend the Darth Bane trilogy that will give you a idea of how the sith changed and had to be wiped out cuz their arrogance w exception of Darth Bane.

It depends on perspective. To the Force, there is no difference between "life" and "death." It's like a river, ever flowing how it will. When one aspect of the force became stronger than another, It would flow in the direction of trying to make things even again. (say, if you worked on your arms/chest every day for a year but never once worked on your legs. After a certain point you would have to stop what you were doing and work on your legs more and your arms/chest less, in order to bring your body back into proper proportions.) From our perspective, events influenced by the Force can seem either wondrous or terrifying. When to the force, it is simply doing as it always has.

I started my first white collar job the week you released your first video, ever since, DAILY, i have watched your videos, and liked your content, I LOVEEEE your videos, and i appreciate the time you put into your fans, as well as your videos. Your one of the truest star wars fans i have ever heard of in my opinion. Could you do a video of what would have happened if Obi-Wan went to watto's shop on tatooine for a new hyper drive and not Qui-Gon Jinn. Id be interested in your take on how obi-wan would react to such a task. Would he die at Maul's hands? Would Obi wan leave Anakin on tatooine? What would happen to qui-gon? Well done on the video, the true meaning of the chosen one couldn't have been explained better. It's a shame really, that so many had to die, after waging war against one another for so long. Neither the jedi or the sith were meant to win, and for hundreds of years, they have been among the main causes for war in their galaxy. It's a shame they'll never realize that neither was ever meant to win.

I pretty much thought of Anakin as THAT kind of chosen one, that he was supposed to bring balance by actually bringing balance between the two sites. So I'm pretty happy with ur "theory" there.

I don't flatter myself that I'm especially insightful, but it was obvious to me when I first heard the prophecy of the Chosen One that it might not mean what the Jedi assumed-- that the Chosen One would destroy the Sith. As you point out in your video, that would completely UN-balance the Force. I wasn't insightful enough to figure out in advance what it REALLY meant, but once Anakin slaughtered the younglings it all became crystal-clear to me. The universe ended up with just 2 Jedi-- Yoda & Obi Wan-- countered by 2 Sith-- Palpatine & Vader. BALANCE!!! At the time I didn't have all the philosophy of the Jedi following the will of the people as opposed to the will of the Force, but that fits too.

Then when the republic was destroyed the resistance rose up again countering the first order by destroying the first order's base. like the first order did theirs. have you noticed no death star/ starkiller base has ever destroyed the rebel base. because it is not the will of the force as that would make dark side dominating. so 2 balances 2. not someone destroying the other order.

wait, before I start this video I would like to say... Anikin did bring balance to the force... there was an ubundance of Light Side, and for almost a thousand years there was at most a trace of Dark Side. the "Rule of Two" suppressed at all times Dark Side users, to the point where people that were destined to be heavy Dark Side users were being indoctrinated in to the Jedi ("Souring the Milk"), purposefully making the Light Side strong and complacent with ignorance. being aware of the balance, and the Force's ability to self correct by way of the "Chosen One", and knowing the best way to defeat an Enemy is to divide and then conquer, all they needed was time, thus "The Rule of Two". their is alot more depth to this that I could get in to, but I want to watch the video now.

Clay More actually palpatine and plaguis spent many days meditating on the dark side so it tipped in their favour so the dark side over took and due to this the force counteracted and made anakin to bring balance to the force which he did do , he killed all Jedi besides Luke and he killed all sith (but snoke is alive ) so it's a 1v1 and it's even then Luke messed it up and trained Jedi so a new chosen one will appear probably kylo ren as he didn't feel stronger when he killed han so he has light within him and is conflicted like anakin was

Definitely brought balance. by destroying the light and the dark balance was created. The Jedi attempted to hide knowledge they deemed as dangerous, attempting to create a light side only imbalance to the force and attempting to create Their own order on the universe. The universe however is balanced between chaos and order. any attempt to force order only increases chaos thus we see in the laws of thermodynamics. True balance would be the path of the grey jedi those who exist between light and dark. those that listen and follow their path without ego and without false order. Darth vader also brought balance by succumbing to the dark side and the light side both thus showing one can move from one to the other and back again. he became a beacon of dark the dark side and the light side... in the end he became a beacon of redemption.

Yes. The Jedi were not being taught properly and a New Force order should arise. Anakin was chosen to wipe out both Jedi and Sith. This would make way for a New Force order that uses both the Light and Dark side to their use.

@Balance of The hill Well Luke survived and in legends there were other Jedi in hiding. There is also Ezra, I don't know to spell his name. Anyway it doesn't seem like he destroyed the Sith either, or at least not for very long.

You simply talk about Grey Jedi. And Empire lead by Palpatine and Darth Vader were literally hunting EVERY Force Sensitive but them and people working for them. Also: Siths were ruling over Galaxy wile Jedi had to hide "bAlAnCe" Plus you should reread about Siths. Siths were not part of Balance, they were denationalization of the Force.

Maybe there shouldn't be a Force order. Just like maybe no country on this planet should have nuclear war heads as a means of defense/destruction. Maybe in the hands of corruptible and mortal beings such a power becomes too dangerous and too prone to manipulation. If it was left alone and not sought out with utilitarianism, then the scale of destructive power relegated to one person is limited.

This is literally my favorite Star Wars theory, just watched with a fellow fan.

The Pagueis novel is not canon, but the Tarkin novel - also by James Luceno - which is canon, mentions him as a Sith that was able to cheat death, and as Palpatine's master. So yes, he's canon.

jeremy lee yeah but plagueis is not Canon. he fails thats right but we dont now. Disney maybe will change some things. at the time anakin was made by the force not by plagueis. maybe disney cange it in episode 8 or 9 or even later.

yeah the name but nothing else. what palpatine says to anakin can be ( but don`t must) a lie to make that he beliefes what palpatine says. we dont know it jet. it makes more sence and i hate that disney say that all what was canon before is now not canon i hate this but we can do nothing about it.

You hit it right on. This video is EXACTLY the reason why Anakin was the chosen one. He brought balance to the force by balancing the scale.

Balance in its purest form is 50 :50 of something even a child understands that but the Jedi became too blind to accept it.

it can also means that the lightside is the purest . Being purest,if everyone possess the lightside of the force,it's balance as most jedi think the the lightside is THE force. It isn't stated clearly what is "balance" in the force so it's too early to make assumption

What the Jedi believe is clearly incorrect and narrow-minded. The light side is as much as much of a perversion of the force a the dark side. The force is not a friend nor is it a tool. True balance in the force will be reached only when both Jedi and Sith will be destroyed and reached by a new order that will balance themselves first

Mind equals BLOWN 💥 ya this makes a lot of sense cause how does balance equal just the light and no dark. So in a way ya he brought balance until he killed the emperor and died which left Luke skywalker as the only Jedi in the galaxy. Kylo ren also wiped out Luke's growing Jedi population leaving snoke and Ben opposing Luke and now Rey. 2 for 2 but then again we don't know what snoke is capable of as they are not sith, plus the knights of ren don't seem to have any lightsabers and we also don't know what the extent of their power is.

Anakin brought balance in the force in that the good side had too much power tipped in their favor. Anything can be can be harmful, good or bad, when taken to the extreme. He almost totally destroyed the Jedi and thus equaled the playing field.

@Balance of The hill not even that. Jedi were misguided about emotions as rejecting them is also not good but Siths were into loosing themselves in anger and desires. Jedi were trying to achieve inner peace and inner balance. And THAT'S Balance. As you've said it's not Yin Yang. It's Balance vs. loosing yourself in your desires. It's kind of like irl. You are not supposed to be emotionless robot. You should accept your feelings and emotions. All of them. Happiness, Sadness, Disgust, Anger, Fear etc... But that doesn't mean you should start throwing tantrums every time you are angry or start murdering, steal and rape people as you are angry or want something. You should accept them, think what they mean but if you fear death maybe becoming immortal zombie isn't good idea and feeling hungry doesn't mean you have to eat now and preferably whole planet. We have more than just emotions. Siths are slaves of own emotions.

She did because palpatine tricked her to put him in office because Darth Sidious was the Sith Lord whom had tricked the senate into believing he was a friend . Not knowing that Anakin Skywalker destroyed the Sith that had manipulated him

Agreed. Anakin forcibly brought balance to the force. He fulfilled the prophecy. How having thousands of Jedi and only 2 Sith could ever be considered balance is beyond me.

you make it out as the sith were a good cause of balance in my opinion balance means peace and the sith are the opposite of peace which would mean that the Jedi having killed all the sith could keep the galaxy at bay with the sith around darkness and chaos would still linger and where there's a sith there is no true balance and in the beginning there were only the Jedi which means they always kept the peace until the skth we're formed out of the Jedi who wanted more power from the force. now during the clone war the Jedi did in fact fall short of their religion to let the Force guide them as a result Anikan was confused on what his true loyalty lied in which lead him to kill every freakin Jedi that lived during this time with the help of palpatine of course and all the Order 66 Phase 2 Clone Trooperz. but in other words the Jedi council kept most of the sith secrets hidden from Anikan as they said in Episode 1 the Phantom Menace that his future was clouded and unknown there for being Anikan was sugar coated on the knowledge of the sith. like any normal human being if you raised a boy and told him he was a girl he would one day find out the truth and more than likely get frustarted and be mad which can be related to how Anikan Felt when he heard of the power of the dark side which lead to his fateful turn to the dark side that night on courasant. I could say so much more about this topic myself if anyone is interested reply back and I will be more than happy to explain more!

but the universe is not peaceful as humans commonly use the word. things kill each other to be able to survive, death is a natural part of life etc. Anakin balanced the power pretty evenly at the time, but after that sith rose up to become more powerful and then he balanced it again. Yoda also seems to learn more about the dark side through living on dagobah perhaps he also realised that the prophecy was misinterpreted and that he should achieve a balanced state as well.

Joy & Sadness. Love & Hate. Comfort & Pain. Warmth & Cold. Peace & War. Stagnation & Calamity. Every individual is a representation of the force. Without knowing the "bad" we could not truly appreciate the "good." Without knowing the "good" we would not be able to tolerate the "bad." Too much of either leaves a person.... not truly knowing themselves. The Sith are simply the strongest representation of the "Dark" side. While the Jedi are the strongest representation of the "Light" side. In the end, both sides are only half of a whole. Take away one faction and eventually a different faction will rise in it's place. If you killed all of the Sith without the force being in balance, than another group focused on the Dark Side would rise to challenge the Jedi. Sure, there would be piece for a time, But it would only be for a time. If the Jedi were capable of embracing the Dark Side, without being consumed by it (basically, the entire order becoming "Grey Jedi") Then balance would have been capable without any killing. In the end, simply having "peace" whether it be under the Sith or the Jedi or someone else, is not the balance the force needed.

The balance was the destruction of the sith, not the Jedi. The Jedi ended up all dying because of their actions, not because of the will of the force. The Jedi had become incredibly ineffective and no longer served the force, they served the politicians, which is why most of them had mentioned losing their connection to the force. The Sith, on the other hand, had become incredibly powerful.

What if Maul and Savage manage to kill Sidious. I imagine Savage would still die in near the end of their duel. Another great vid.

Now that you explain it like this, it makes a whole lot more sense

Jar Jar Abrams just ruined the Original Trilogy by making Palpatine come back. He never died thus Anakin's redemption was pointless and Rey was the "Chosen One" The Force is "White Male" Don't let the Social Justice Warriors try and replace us!

I may be wrong but I was under the impression that during the clone wars( which I haven't watched just done some research on this particular subject,) it was revealed that the way he was supposed to bring balance to the force was by taking the place of the father of the force entities. Now he obviously didn't do that so I would assume that the kill everything path that he took instead was probably the worse way to bring about balance.

Lucas clearly said: "The prophecy is that Anakin will bring balanced to the Force, and destroys the Sith, he becames Darth Vader, Darth Vader does become the Hero, killing himself and the Emperor, he does it, because he is redeemed by his son" so no Luke is not the Chosen One. But still awesome video!

That really helped me, I understand totally now.

DankTank VA You have to understand that when Anakin Skywalker attacked the jedi temple and killed jedis, he was being manipulated and under the influence of the evil sith lord Darth Sidious. Then, many years later in the battle of Endor, in the throne observation room of the Death Star II. Darth Vader was watching Luke Skywalker being electrocuted by the emperor (Sidious). This made Darth Vader turn to the light side and take down the most powerful sith lord of all time. But as he grabbed him and threw him down a never ending pit Vader/Anakin Skywalker received the electric shock from him, injuring him seriously... Vader/Anakin gave his last words to Luke, his son. Luke did all he could and took his body to an imperial shuttle and escaped the death star II as it was being destroyed by the rebels. And then in Endor all the rebels, ewoks celebrated while cremating Vader/Anakin's body. As even the force ghosts of Obi Wan, Anakin, and Yoda contemplate...

All Shmi said was, “There is no father. I raised him on my own.” I thought this implied he has a biological father who isn’t around.
