*My conclusions after seeing the video :* When you press the trigger, though a spring, a metal is pushing a suspension to the rocket's little hole and so with a magical way it's immediately fired and then explodes at impact as we all know. Also, thanks for the very informative review, it explains a lot. I'd only appreciate it if you could lower your voice for your next videos. You don't have to scream

It pains me to say this as an American: you're right. Russian weapons are the very definition of 'make the most of what you have'. They are simple, inexpensive, easy to use, and they get the job done, oftentimes better than American-made weapons. Many American soldiers preferred to use captured AK-47s than M16s in Vietnam. Russian weapons still hold up to this day. The RPG is over 60 years old and it still sees use today. The AK-47 is over 70 years old and still commonly used today

The 1988 movie,"THE BEAST",starring actor Jason Patrick(from,"The Lost Boys").The only American made action-war movie about the Soviet-Russian war in Afghanistan during the 1980s.The movie is call "the Beast" cause of a tough Russian made battle tank.

got to love the sound effects. they are a cherry on top.

One big nit pick, RPG 7 projectiles have that cap at the end because it covers up the warhead detonator trigger at the front. An RPG is basically two devices; a rocket motor and the anti-tank grenade at the front that is the actual explosive component. If you don't take the cap off before firing, it won't always detonate on impact. Instead it might impact the target and bounce before being set off by the sudden shock, causing it to detonate but fail to actually hit the target.

fun fact (or maybe not so fun) in Afghanistan the Taliban would often take off the safety caps on all their RPGs so they wouldn't have to fumble around with them during combat which resulted in US sniper team seeing the Taliban run and trip on something and hit the detonator and blowing themselves up -_-

just a tip for video editing purposes. Try to have the gun facing the same way in every side-view scene, this way no one gets lost when the scene transitions.

I think I got it. Firstly the blue part of the rocket detonates, the pressure launches the rocket forward and the backblast travels through the tube and exits from behind. After the rockets get away to a safe distance from its operator, its engines ignite and the rocket travels to wherever it's pointing at. So it is both a rocket launcher and a recoilless rifle in my opinion. Why this is such a good weapon is because it has the benefits of both the recoilless rifle and rocket launcher. For example, the panzerfaust is a recoilless rifle that can send heavy anti-tank projectile without unbearable recoil. The downside is that this limits its effective range. The most common German panzerfaust had an effective range of 60m. On the other hand, Panzershreck, a german anti-tank rocket launcher had an effective range of 150m. However, the rocket it fires would still be burning its fuel even after leaving the barrel and it wouldn't run out of fuel until it was 2m ahead of its original launching point. Thus, the operator would get its face burned from rocket's backblast once the rocket was out of the tube. To counter this they had to put a giant shield to protect the soldier from rockets backblast. And RPG-7 can fire its rocket to great distances without the need for protective gear.

may be a little off topic - but I find it odd that many games get this wrong in the sound department - every game in existence so far portrays the RPG as having ONE sudden loud blast when the trigger is pulled; but in reality, it does as you said and there are TWO launch stages you can audibly hear. MW2 2022 *finally* is the first game to do it justice and do it right and actually nail the two distinct sounds correctly, including the sonic boom from the rocket booster after its 100m out!

There is a pin on the rocket that engages a slot at the end of the tube. This aligns the primer on the propellant charge to the firing pin. If not engaged, it don't go boom.

First, you pull back the hammer, which is that thing on the back of the handle. It's spring-loaded, so it will snap back into place. To do that, you pull the trigger. When the hammer snaps back into place, it slams against a tiny spike, called a firing pin. The firing pin gets pushed up into the barrel, and then it pokes a primer, which is on the bottom of the rocket. The primer creates a spark when it is poked, so the spark flies up into the inside of the rocket and lights off the rocket fuel. Hope that was easy to understand!

The repetition makes it more educational. Slow mo on the trigger, on the safety switch so on. A hell of a lot better than the army's way of teaching us

It uses a hammer like a single action that ignites a primer that lights the rocket fuel that shoots it out of the tube to get it away from the user. Next the fins deploy to stabilize it and the second motor fires and propels it to its target. Once it hits it has a percusion cap that sets of a conical shaped charge with a coper lining that creates a hypersonic lance that can penetrate armor.

@@ionizedbeam8089 i would add the result to an armoured vehicle after the charge has made a breach in the hull, basically the crew inside get hit by a huge shockwave and flying metal shrapnel, if its an older tank the ammunition might burn out too causing the tank to catch on fire

@Op @P3T4R It's basically a carefully crafted pay to win. They should of just priced it right off the bat. Like $30 - $40 and then doing the "deluxe edition" thing and *some* dlc i guess. Because the way it's done now... yeah good luck unlocking all the weapons in a timely manner AND especially for free :/

There is a cap on the rocket on the top if you drop the rpg bullet it won’t blow cause the cap the cap off is very dangerous, if it falls without a cap it will exploded same if it hits the top without the cap. The spinning blades behind it makes the rocket go in a straight line so the air won’t make me hit the wrong direction.

Stop making these videos, everyone can play this simulator game on their devices.

I Watched a teenage Kurdish girl demonstrate how to use one of these. You line up this mark on the rocket, with this mark on the launch tube. Then you aim it like this, and squeeze the trigger. And she was in Raqqa, shooting her weapon at ISIS. And she was smiling the whole time. Thanks for the excellent video. Maybe you could add on a little bit about the shaped charge warhead.

Quicc explanation The Trigger system forces quickly the firing pin that will ignite the primer and the Fuel on that green thing (fuel tank) to launch the ordnance (the classic missile) on the target, The reload is the reset of the trigger system and the attachment of the missile to the fuel tank (with the propulsor)
