I have custom moulded In Ear Monitors for playing guitar in a band. The are comfortable, cut out a lot of outside noise and , most importantly, allow me to have the volume lower in my ears to protect my hearing. Good choice to try these, I think you will like them.

Toured the battleship you flew over and used to inspect the Nuclear reactor that I think was the cooling towers coming into NC.

We did the same thing back in May. Found a steal of a deal on a brand new 2019 Ford Mustang for our youngest son’s high school graduation present. Was one of those deals that appeared to be too good to be true...but it wasn’t. Flew our TN’d Bonanza from Texas to Wisconsin to pick up along with two oldest sons. They road-tripped it back home.

My zero-turn lawn mower came from that area - they were $1,200 cheaper than around here! Nice S5! It looks fast. I know nothing about any newer cars these days ... but I can tell the difference between a '71 & '72 Chevelle & El Camino, lol. I drove to the Orlando area from up here once, hauling a car and piles of stuff for my smarter buddy, who bailed out of here. Was 23 hours combined driving time. That SUCKED. I didn't take 95 though - I can't convey how much I HATE that stretch of asphalt, particularly north of the Mason-Dixon. I'd rather have a root canal on EVERY one of my teeth ... and I'm not even kidding. 😂 I now drive 100 miles out of my way to avoid that road. What were those military jets at the end? There are many companies that do custom ear molds for ear transducers. So shop for the best price. This process has been around for a long time. Have not seen a study showing custom molds reduce more nose than standard hollow earplugs. But they are more comfortable and last longer. Make sure they save your molds for five years.

I'v owned a 2001 Audi S8 and currently own a 2013 Audi S5 cabriolet prestige. 3.0 supercharged. Fun car enjoy. You have the same color as mine. Looks great in the sun and doesn't show the dirt. However, I don't own a Baron, or a plane for that matter. Haha. Enjoy the car. Kim will love driving it home.

Should have flown into Beaufort.KMRH. It’s is closer to Swansboro . A great beach town, and great local seafood. Close to where I fly out of KOCW. Washington Warren.

That may have been oil tankers anchored because of the oil glut & prices, they cannot unload. That has happened at the LA port.

@@BaronPilot Yes, used. Some guy test drove one on this site. Recently they were talking about resuming production, but I have no idea if that went anywhere.

I was kidding Martin about Becky flying with him and her having a page, which apparently she doesn't. One of the more serious things I said to him was that I was hoping that both Becky and Kim would either get at least pinch hitter courses or, more specifically, their ratings. Any chance Kim might be moving in that direction? As to 'saving money', well, yes, I guess in this case, since you already have the airplane and you're already paying for the upkeep, maintenance, etc., the cost of flying from Florida to Wilmington and back probably wasn't too much more than the cost of an airline ticket and the fuel for the car going back. Probably could have had the car delivered for $500 or so, though. But, you wouldn't have seen it first. So, it's kind of a wash. Besides, if you have the money, why not spend it?

Kim does plan on getting her ppl. Just need some things to come together. Year I could have had the car delivered but I would have bought it site in seen and I spent less then that on fuel.

My 28 year old car is in the shop, and they don't know why it won't run, and I want a newer car, no job, no home, no money, no new car. Might have been protecting. Meh. Kim is going to make a good pilot, I'm sure. The problem is going to be when she starts demanding the left seat, or worse, her own airplane!

I have an Uncle who lives in Texas but while on a trip through Missouri he blew his engine. So he purchased a new car in Missouri and of course had to pay sales tax. But when he got back to Texas and wanted to license it, they said since it was obviously a new car he had just purchased he would have to pay Texas Sales Tax before they would issue a license. He argued with them until he was blue in the face but he ended up having to pay the sales tax in Texas too before they would give him the license plates. I just wonder if you ran into anything like that when buying your car in a different state?

Most dealers around the country (US) won't charge sales tax for purchases by out of state owners. The buyers have to sign a form saying they are responsible for paying sales tax in the state it's going to be registered. He should try to get a tax refund from the dealer in Missouri.

Preston Miller we were charged Fl sales tax. They estimated them so once it was processed with the state we actually overpaid and got a refund check 🤗

Don’t have to worry about a better seal with the A20’s and they look so much better than the Bose pro flights. Still baffles me that Bose designed something so hideous. People truly by the name, whether it’s good or not.

Buck305 I think either, Audi was no great choice, but give everybody his choice of taste.

I still don't understand pulling the power back to descend in smooth air. Why not make up the speed you lost in the climb and just push the nose over? I heard you tell a pilot in another video that many CFIs don't understand your technique. Student pilots understand it, they just don't want to use that technique.

There are a couple reasons in my book. First, if I just push the nose over. I can easily get into the yellow arc and beyond if I’m not paying attention. Second, you would have to re-trim for the descent and then again when you level off. With the method I use, the plane is already trimmed. All I have to do is put the power back where it was at. if I was hand flying in IMC, I would be increasing my workload when it’s not necessary. Further I would argue it is minimal gains considering we are only talking about a couple thousand feet. You’re not descending from flight level 410 that you will be making up lots of time. Lastly, I like the consistency of doing everything the same every time. In my flying career I have found that consistency pays. But by all means, fly your airplane however you feel is best for you. As long as you’re safe I won’t ever say it’s wrong. This is just what I do.
