    Man, Uganda is green. It looks like there is no shortage of water. I am a banker just like this guy but when you asked what Africans dont see, you all missed one part. There are a lot of Africans with entreprenurial minds and spirit, the issue is capital or funding. This young lady is lucky she met a guy who wanted to partner with her so funding is key. In the US, there have something called Small Business Adminisitration where the government gives loans to small businesses at concessionary rates. I wish our governments were proactive. Definitely agree with his point about value addition. Good stories like this where no one runs away with someone,s money are critical to the reunification we all want to see at least for those who want to go to the motherland.

  • @mephis247

    @mephis247

    Man talk about capital... The immensely expensive interest rates of 28% or more from our commercial banks. I've heard of those SBA loans of the USA..man we need them. Sometimes you're midway a business development operation & then u realise you've run out of capital then u halt that operation & put employees on hold & wait to generate some sales to rebuild capital reserves. Then restart again with your little sales money reinvesting into the business. How do we get access to this SBA loans structure or how can we set it up for ourselves. Its really needed.

  • @muchit3629

    @muchit3629

    Жыл бұрын

    @@mephis247 They are backstopped by the government. Our governments in Africa need to do that as that would help alleviate unemployment rates. The big retail operations here like Walmart probably make net profits margins around 2% so imagine what 28% does to local business people. That’s prohibitive and ultimately has to flow through in higher prices for the goods and services. And you wonder why our local businesses in Africa find it hard to complete with the Chinese etc because those firms will get state subsidized loans with rates close to 0% The folks at the top are sleeping at the wheels. We will never fully develop if they don’t have a holistic look at all the impediments, cost of doing businesss, regulatory framework etc if we are to compete at a global scale.

    @@caterforus987 Hello, what sort of seafood processing plant do you have? We have a lot of African countries with underdeveloped fishing companies. You can get trawlers and open processing plants. Very cheap labor, access to rivers, ocean, very low competition. You can also have farm raised aquaculture. Demand is available domestically and you can export overseas from any African country to the USA. Plus you’ll be very fulfilled as a social entrepreneur.

    Truely inspiring story, Africa is rising from the colonial ashes. They have inspired me enough based in the UK to expand my farm business to incorporate goat rearing in Kenya. I have a started with 7 goats with the buck being a pure Boer crossed with a Galla. Am hoping to get my pure boer buck from Value farm to support what they are doing. May Value farm continue to prosper and change farming in Uganda and Africa at large. God bless for this content,

    This is one of the best and inspirational program I have watched iny life. Ooooh boy!! What is wrong with me? I'm just having eyes ,brain, able body and I refused to make use of it into profitable and inspirational line? Waaaaoo I need to start this even if it is with one goat. I believe one day I will go to Uganda and Tanzania to get more knowledge and advice. We should find means for this to reach across Africa land . This inspiration shouldn't be limited to Uganda, Kenya, South Africa and Tanzania alone . I pity my own dear country (Nigeria) just giving itself bad name through unpatriotic citizen who are not thinking beyond the city..

    Great interview. I have a heart of helping anyone willing to start farming in Zambia. Zambia is a beautiful country with lots of land good for farming. By the way, if you genuinely want to start life in Zambia and you are from the diaspora, I will help you for free and I mean absolutely free as long as it is not very far off from Lusaka, it has to be near towns from Lusaka so that I can easily get to your farm and check for you if need be. The only condition is that you have to be here and see for yourself and be sure you want to do this. I am only going to facilitate the process and make it easy for you. It's usually hard to do things in a strange country without a local person to help you start off.
